    Bro you need to change gyms, and spar and train with people who are bigger and better than you, that’s the fastest way to improve, because it’s very hard to actually win if you never lose

    • @tategomacho
      @tategomacho 28 днів тому

      And you need to stop being a gym bro, because when your sparring you look stiff and slow. Only train plyometric movements, and after you become more loose and faster then you should incorporate more strength training. Keep up the work and stay consistent.

    While your technique is not very good. You have a problem of being too scared to get hit causing you to not commit into your shots

  • @beardedcain6789
    @beardedcain6789 22 дні тому +4

    I'm sure you have coaches so hopefully this is unnecessary but you are making very fixable mistakes and I wanted to point a few of them out in case they haven't instead of hating.
    4:41 For starters, you need to actually apply pressure with your knees when you enter single leg X. Your knees are wide open and splayed out and your hips are the on ground. Any grapplers above a beginner level would instantly peel off your feet and crush you. Try elevating your hips and squeezing your hips together, that way you actually are able to establish full control over the leg and torque as needed. You seem sort of aimless with your feet in this clip. You keep on moving them around to different positions instead of consolidating control when you had a good position. If you are serious about being a UFC champion, you need to learn from these bad habits as soon as you can because any UFC fighter would rain ground and pound if you were in that situation and your only defense would be to off-balance them, which you can't do when you don't have proper control.
    4:58 This whole stand up round really illustrates how far behind you are compared to your peers who are training for the UFC. Think about how many thousands of kids come up in wrestling in the US and Russia and now see the UFC as a viable option for monetizing their skills. There is no money in wrestling, but hundreds of thousands of better wrestlers. We have already seen a huge influx of high school and D1 wrestlers already and it's only going to get worse.
    The fact is, you wrestle like a total novice and that simply is not good enough for the UFC. Both times you took your partner down it was off you taking advantage of a mistake he made or him pulling guard. When you establish any kind of tie, you should be aiming for a few things. Firstly, you should aim to move their weight onto one leg. This is a basic one. If you pull and circle, they will step and their weight will load onto one leg. This means they can't move it quickly and you can drop and shoot in. The same goes for double legs. Speaking of double legs, you stand straight up when you grapple. Any good wrestler could blast through you with a double without even needing to tie up. The only time you should stand up that tall is if you are in over/unders or otherwise are against a wall. The only reason you don't get punished for that is you aren't training with a good wrestler.
    Look at 6:48, you have both of his wrists and he is standing straight up. Even if you are taller that was a perfect opportunity to shoot and you didn't. What good is a collar tie or grabbing a wrist if you don't use it to setup an attack? The reasons wrestlers succeed is because their mindset isn't about waiting for their opponent to make a mistake and capitalizing, it is because their mindset is to create their own opportunities and blast through their opponents defenses. As a beginner if you want to improve you have to shoot and fail over and over again until it becomes second nature. I was lanky too when I was your age so I understand it is hard to put yourself beneath them, but you need those failed shots to improve. Again, mindset is everything. You cannot be passive in grappling or you will get mauled against top competition.
    I'm not gonna comment on the striking because I don't feel qualified to talk about that.
    Overall, I am not trying to discourage you. You are doing awesome if this is only day 173 of your martial arts journey. The only reason I made this comment was because you set a lofty goal and if you want to achieve it you can't stay on the course you are now. Good luck man

    hello brother
    nice sparring. Good constant pressure and variety of moves. I don't have much to say. Everything will fall more into place the more you spar and train, nothing big is glaring at me here. I have the same gloves as you (Venum MMA sparing gloves 3.0), and I use them for MMA (and sometimes bagwork), however I think you should pick yourself some 16 oz gloves. I use the R5 all-rounders (sometimes I use 14 oz, but mostly 16 oz). They'll allow you to hit harder and will test your technique more. It is harder than using the MMA sparring gloves, which is exactly the reason I'm using them. If you want some help picking gloves or any information just ask. (make sure to break them in, they will be too hard for sparring out of the box)
    Nice work
