The QBs are literally just throwing the ball up lol. LEGEND
Randy Moss used to tell them "Just put it up there, they can't jump with me...GOLLY!!..."
I'm pretty sure Cris carter was saying at minnesota they had a practice drill called randy go get it
It's too bad he couldn't go up and get it on that 72 yard dime from Brady in Super Bowl 42. 10 seconds on the clock, everything on the line.. And couldn't just make the effort to get the ball. That would have been the highlight of Randy's career.
@@greyk610 😭
@@greyk610 dude, don't be like that, give credit to the D backs, as much as Moss wanted to catch the ball, he wasn´t gonna do it anyways the D back was closer to the ball and to be honest the pass wasn´t that good.
He just made it look so easy. A man amongst boys. Really wish he got a ring though he definitely deserved it.
New England was supposed to win that game. Biggest upset of all time
Yeah, he definitely deserved a couple rings.
Moss was a TD machine! Most insane WR of all time!
If Moss was a touchdown machine what does that make Jerry Rice lol
It’s hard to believe he was a part of the 2013 49ers super bowl squad
I always forget he was a 9er. He was for the most part invisible
@@MM-jn9wx there were countless times that season where he would get wide open and Alex Smith or Kaepernick would do a checkdown. It was sooo frustrating to watch
Its hard to believe Sackorpick lead an NFC champion squad
They did not know how to use him on that team, instead using him as a decoy, smh. There were so many times he was open in the SB.
Harbaugh was asked in an interview why he wasnt playing moss a lot and he said he wanted to give his young guys some play time and that he didnt know if moss would even be on the team next year. The 49ers players said moss were killing the defensive backs in practice. Harbaugh just chose not to use him
Moss is mostly known for beating quadruple coverage and jump balls, but for my money he's by far the most dangerous slant route runner in NFL history. Each time that dude caught a slant you'd blink and there would be an entire defense behind him. Just insanity.
No one could do it like Randy!!! I'm glad I got to watch him play live. He was a beast
In 1998 I was 7 yrs old n watched Vikings vs Broncos, that night I became a Moss fan 4 life n I'm from GB Wisconsin. I knew he was special to this day he's my favorite WR of all time. 10" hands, 4.2 speed, 6'4 with incredible vision 4 the ball. Best I've ever seen catch a ball 1 handed so effortlessly. There's a reason he's 2nd all time behind Jerry Rice and in the H.O.F. We'll never see a Randy Moss again.
Thats a fact bro... never be another Randy Moss dude was uniquely gifted. Moss has the best Late hands of any WR ive seen.
Randy Moss is my favorite athlete of all time. The most exciting player ever on a football field.
Can you throw a deep ball?
Moss: I’ll be open, throw it!!
A1Reviews yea he always had his man beat! Imagine if him and Mike Vick linked up OMG
That was Moss's motto, "just throw it up, I'll catch it!"
6'4, 4.2 speed, amazing hands, can jump out the jump...........I can't think of a more gifted athlete in sports history!
I would say Lebron James
@@bvgeyta9775 wilt chamberlain
Dion
Shohei ohtani
Jerry Rice spanks this dude. Moss was great, but Rice by a mile.
Moss was ALWAYS a great player! Miss him playing NFL. A Great Wide Receiver!
Like seriously, what do you do when you can triple team him and he still makes the catch. Geez!
7:55 one of my favorite plays by Moss. Watch the speed. Six defenders all with angle advantage. Moss should not have got through that. I don't believe any other receiver would have. But Randy did. Incredible player, never seen anyone like him
Todays receivers would assume a tackle and dive at their feet whereas Randy just preferred to run by them. I was at that game!
I really miss this guy, his playmaking was just incredible.
What he did to both Darelle Revis and Charles Woodson was just SO dirty. Ive watched Moss play and Ive watched Rice play....
I'll take Moss every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
but rice make the catches that matter like in the super bowl.
That catch on Revis is the only play he ever made on him. Career low numbers against him, but people forget that because of one play
@@TMSBMC dat's CuH Revis fa da most part had help underneath (LB) & help over top (FS or SS) He hardly ever guarded Moss 1on1!!!
Moss is my favorite player of all time. Great guy. Best to do ever play receiver !!! Changed offenses and defenses into today.
I would take him over Jerry rice or any wide reciever any day of the week
Facts 💯
If it was just for a year, same. But for long term, Jerry Rice
Larry Legend is the GOAT Nah it would always be Randy
@@adrianrealmvp303 just look at the stats
Kryptic Gamer you’d always be wrong though because the goat is jerry rice.
Moss is a top 10 player of all time. Best receiver of all time. People who say Jerry was better just value of the nostalgia
Jerry has him in longevity but Mosses hands and break away speed was incredible.
FACTS
Jerry rice one handed Hail Mary td game winner? We forgetting about that!
Best ball skills of all time. Only guy more dangerous with an off target pass than on target, because you know he’s going to adjust to it in flight better than the defenders.
Shame he never won a Super Bowl considering he was on 2 of the greatest teams in NFL history (98 Vikings 07 Patriots)
Both of those teams had the most unluckiest losses too. I know viking fans are still mad about that 98 season.
Being from WV myself I like to think of Moss as the greatest receiver of all time.
Imagine thinking Jerry rice was better than this LMAOOOO
Jerry Rice is better lol
Jerry rice is the goat. Moss is great but rice was like michael jordan in the nfl. He was dominate I from the beginning to the very end.
@@49WWFcobianfan jerry rice was on a team that won two super bowls without him and had three mvp quarterbacks throwing to him
@@fbistatmajor5918 your acting like moss didn't play with the 2 all time scoring offenses in nfl history. He wasn't even the #1 option with the vikings chris carter. Jerry rice never played on a 16-0 team. Jerry rice was putting up 1,000 yard seasons in his late 30s and early 40s while moss was just a 3rd string receiver at that point in his career.
@@fbistatmajor5918 was any of these highlights from the playoffs? The answer is no. He played in tons of playoffs with cunningham and Brady and never had these big plays in playoff games. If you watch rice's highlights some of his biggest games were in the playoffs.
It looks so effortless when he catches the ball
And that is why, all you too young folks out there, it's called "You got Mossed"
I was at my son's game about 2 years ago and the wr on the other teamed mossed my son's team cb and when I mentioned it to my son he didn't know what mossed mean
And some kid told me Julio Jones was better 😂😂
I’m a falcons fan and I’ll tell anyone Moss was better
Yall trynna say julio is a scrub
Mr Beast nahh I’m saying kids these days are mentally challenged to think Julio is anywhere close to moss
Lol you mean the guy (Julio) you have to target 15x a game in order for him to get one td? Julio isn't close to moss
damn shame....
I watched t.o and randy moss very closely over the years & from my very own eyes) as we know the Stats are pretty similar the difference is randy moss was so good/fast that he was either barely touched or behind the defender. T.o broke tackle after tackle to get a lot of his touchdowns. Taking nothing away from t.o at all but randy was just so electrifying and fast
Smiling with all these highlights. I respect the old moss a little more. He was simply unstoppable 1 on 1 ever
0:40 lets admire that throw
never realized how many clutch plays he made and the passes too
Really was a perfect storm for his ability in Minnesota. Cunningham, George, and Culpepper could all sling it a long way
Randy Moss was a catching machine!
Randy moss is like the store in my hood, convenient and always open lol
Dude is literally never open when the balls is coming to him PURE LEGEND
Dude was so insanely good at football in general. He's not just a guy who runs fast in a straight line or jumps high. Love how this video shows some of his non-WR plays. Those are some legit QB skills and the presence of mind to pitch the ball on that one play that went for a TD where he was getting tackled. He is the best or one of the best at literally every aspect of being a WR. The amount of separation he was consistently getting was insane. And if someone was close to him he was always a safe bet to come down with the ball anyway. He might be the most freakish player to ever play the game.
I was too young to really see Rice play but from watching his highlights, he wasn't able to do the things that Moss could. I always say Moss is the GOAT.
Randy Moss been my fav player since NFL Blitz and will forever be 🐐
Not only could Randy catch, but this man could JUKE YOUR CLEETS OFF. Absolute Legend 😁
#39 Is getting slept on. That's a hell of a catch!!
facts!!!
Moss did that perfectly at 11:11 over Revis. Confidently raised his hand to display he's open and did the one handed catch on purpose just to show who had the upper hand. He dogged him with that gesture. Lol. I see it.
FACTS. He did not have to catch that one-handed, he did it just to prove a point:
I'm the god of WRs, never ever call me a "slouch."
Hey, Odell, THIS is what a legend looks like.
Moss having a random punt return TD, in crunch time, is crazy. I used to see that play all the time on old highlight videos back in 2007 and never knew it was actually a game tying TD
Moss = Ferrari. Shiny, fast, looks and performs amazing but can be high maintenance.
Rice = That unstoppable and dependable work truck that is consistent day in and day out, while having some crazy utility and tricks in it
so blessed to have been able to watch this man as I was growing up
Yeah, there's no one better than this dude at the WR position. To do this over and over at the highest level of football is mind boggling
we are so fortunate to have had brady and moss together
I am so thankful for the years us Vikings had with Randy Moss
#21 and #8 stood out for me. Having the ability to readjust his focus after that clean spin move to deliver an accurate pass to the end zone. Then the awareness & trust on #8 to pitch it to his teammate on the run is incredible
crazy almost all theses highlights are against some all time great CBs all time too . the goat
no way the moss toss was only #8, one of the best plays in nfl history!
0:38 that dam play will be forever one of the hypest moments of watching football
Seems like the ball just lands in his hands instead of making the effort to actually catch it
10:27 he got embarrassed and tore his ACL 🤦🏾♂️
Favorite play in the playbook. Go get it Randy!!!!
GOD gifted talent and effortless greatness
Pats fan, when we had Moss we used to call him glue hands, guy is unbelievable.
Some of the most beautiful fall seasons of my life were the falls where at the start of the football season Randy Moss was on the Patriots. I know we never won a championship with him but having him on the team made the Patriots exciting and must see tv. He's not the most accomplished wide receiver ever but he's definitely the most talented. Could you imagine Randy Moss if he had Jerry Rices work ethic and temperament? He would have been the best ever!
#45 was insane!! Catches it, breaks two defenders ankles, turns on the burners a beats a 3rd guy then he gets an insane block and takes it to the house.
What’s amazing to me is the way he was always known for winning on double and triple coverage and catching deep passes in traffic, but somehow he always caught the ball with his body instead of his hands above his head 🙌. Which is also why it’s sort of ironic how the segment “you got mossed” on ESPN often shows players going up, high pointing a ball, and catching it with their arms up over they’re head and over other people’s outstretched hands. But I just don’t understand how Moss was able to make those contested catches so easily catching with his body. I think it was a combination of his speed, the way he used his body to get position on DBs, and his incredible spatial awareness & body control that no one was able to match. Truly one of the great athletes of my generation 🔥
Spot on comment. Moss is the GOAT WR and the most dangerous offensive weapon in NFL history. The thing with him is that he had what biomechanics experts call balance proprioception and force proprioception - the body's awareness of itself within any spatial environment. His amazing body control shows just how insane his proprioception abilities were. Incredible athlete with true Olympic speed. Bob Pruitt said that Moss could have ran 100M, 200M and 400M in the Olympics and medal (he even claimed Moss was faster than Carl Lewis, the US Olympian, who he knew personally).
he is unstoppable
Randy Moss is the best.
I think Jerry Rice is the GOAT receiver, but Moss's talent is just unmatched. #2 for me.
Qb's out there throwing their arm out an he still having to wait on it 😭⛽⛽⛽
0:56 #24 is a DB and is 2 yards up-field of MOSS. Then the track meet happens
Randy moss is the 🐐
They got MOSSED!! 💪Absolute Monster!!
I remember that catch in the Superdome we all thought it was too far
Absolutely ridiculous skills. Good lord. 😮
That 84 jersey needs to be RETIRED asap in Minnesota. The GREATEST/most TALENTED receiver I have ever seen play ball. Caught EVERYTHING w/his fingers barely using his palms. Fav player has a boy
Only athlete to ever get his own verb!! 🐐 🐐
he's my goat receiver grew up watching him in the 90s
Qb: ima just throw it in your direction
Moss: bet
Great compilation, thank you for sharing!
The best to ever do it, great positioning, perfect physical attributes, and as fast as tyreek hill.
Moss and Fitzgerald are easily top 2 receivers regarding their elite hands. Insane how easy he made it look to cook the best defensive backs of his generation.
Jerry Rice could be the goat bc of the multiple SB he won, but Randy is the most talented wide receiver ever
the timing the reaching the body twisting i havent seen anyone come close to how he made it look so easy he even new he had to slow down when other guys would have kept running and toss there hands up .
The scariest and most intimidating WR to ever play the game.
Best ever.
Moss didnt even look like he was trying, guy was an artist
Randy Moss is the of the NFL R.i.p. Kobe and Kobe the Moss of the NBA r.i.p.
I love when he jumps for it
enjoy the talent while it’s here might never see it again💪🏼
My Girlfriend: I’m leaving you

Man really could run!
Even Revis island struggles against randy moss. Dude was a BOSS
The Best Ever
Him and Megatron are the 🐐🐐
My favorite WR to ever play. He got me into watching football and being a fan. Him and Megatron are my two fave WRs in that order. Just amazing talent, seems like a humble guy and a funny guy to boot. STRAIGHT CASH HOMIE.
the GOAT. period.
I watched Randy at Dupont, and told my father, this guy could play in the NFL now!
Randy Moss was out here making 1 handed catches before OBJ was even born. This man has a highlight reel you won’t ever see again from a wide receiver. Only WR that has a chance is another Viking with the Jet. #SKOL
Dude was impossible chills 🥶
Randy Moss is the greatest receiver of all time
MOSS was an unfair combination of height, speed, and glue hands
Not hands, glue body (he caught everything with his body and is still #2 wr all time, wow.)
And feet field awareness
Gronk is better.

Even the greatest safety to ever play Sean Taylor got mossed🤪
@@quintincoleman1766 I'd take Lott, Polamalu, Reed, or Dawkins before Taylor. Even Tatum.
@@anthonygillespie9062 Yeah you kinda need a career to be considered the greatest.
I meant no disrespect, but even career accomplishments aside, I think those safties had better play on the field.
@@anthonygillespie9062 I agree, and he even could be better than Tatum cause Tatum played with a top 5 all time CB. So yeah, with how high his potential was he could've been NO. 1 but, it's all hypothetical.
Greatest of all time, if we're talking pure athletic ability. His stats took a hit playing with a merry-go-round rotation of qb's his entire career.
I'm not convinced that he was better than Jerry Rice. He was the best deep threat that's for sure. But Jerry could catch a 7 yard slant and turn it into a td constantly. Also, Jerry Rice is the only player that i have ever seen in my life catch a td pass that the QB threw away. One of the most breathtaking things I've ever seen. No question that randy is the best otherwise.
@@mintgumornot go look at rice's top 50, and then rewatch this. if that won't convince you, i question your mind.
Cunningham should have won the MVP that year but NFL about marketing and age and personality cost him
@@mintgumornot Jerry rice was a possession wr that ran a 4.7, you aren't explaining who Jerry Rice was at all... A great route runner with great hands... But he wasn't breaking tds that often.
Jerry rice had nearly 600 more receptions with only 41 more tds. Considering Moss had 982 receptions... He'd destroy Rice TD wise on a per touch basis... YPC, and per game Rice wins for yards by just 5, even though he had way better QB play overall.
Rice is the greatest WR stats wise... But Moss is undoubtedly the most talented WR ever to touch the field.
He was so the GOAT- don’t qualify the claim with ‘athletic’.
He made so many bum quarterbacks look good . When he did have a prime Brady- Culpeper Etc he was breaking records. He's hands down the best WR ever imo . I was fortunate enough to watch him live dozens of times at the old Metrodome mpls and I've yet to see a player stretch the field like he could .
What bum QBs did he have exactly?
@@brooksseverson9452 how about under achieving qbs like Jeff George?

All i'm saying is, you don't hear people out here saying you got RICED 🤷🏾♂️ lol
But your already heard people saying that Rice is the Goat football player in any position. What about Moss?
@@Gabriel-tp7mq buddy rice is not better he was blessed with Montana and young for almost his whole career. Moss was faster, bigger, stronger, and a better catcher. Only thing rice had on him was running routes
@@PrimesLink but randy moss only had Tom Brady Dante culpepper and Randall Cunningham
Never hear that before either. Moss is now a verb 🐐🐐🐐
@@aidanherbert3223 culpepper was inconsistent at best. He had some good years, but there was a lot of inconsistency with moss in Minnesota. And I wouldn’t exactly call Brady a huge talent. I’m a Brady fan, have been forever, think he’s one of the GOATS, but he just didn’t have a big arm or the best accuracy exactly. What got him through was his mind and his good reads. And then sure Cunningham was a beast but compared to Steve young and Montana you just can’t really compare them. Maybe the “rice had good qbs” isn’t a great excuse for him being not as good, but just comparing them straight up is better. Like I said before, only thing rice had on moss was route running lmfaoooo
Dante Culpepper would have about 50 more career interceptions if it wasnt for Moss saving him with his insane grabs
I would go as far as to say Dante culpepper would not have been a starter for as long as he was if it wasn't for Moss
@@capmarvel22 Culpepper had a cannon, but that's it.
If you watched him actually play and not his highlights he was a avg qb. I'd take Jay Cutler over him
@@MikeBNumba6 I don't know about Jay Cutler but agree 100 percent that there was nothing special about him he was very fortunate to be paired with Randy Moss
@@capmarvel22 I'm a vikings fan, and you could say any QB would be very fortunate to be paired with Moss (and Chris Carter). But Dante had one of his best seasons when Moss was hurt (and Carter was retired). In 2004 Culpepper threw for 4700+, 400+ yds rushing, 39TD and had a 110.0 rating (he should have been MVP that year, but there was a guy named Manning who also played pretty well). That was Moss's last year with us, only 49 catches for 767 yatds (he did have 13TDs though, in only 13 games). Culpepper was a very accurate passer, very fast, and *big* (he would have made a great linebacker). But after he hurt his knee, he was never the same.
@@geoffhart he had 3 good seasons just 3 2000,2003,2004. Other then those 3 years he was mediocre at best
I’ve never seen a WR so open yet have to wait on the ball as much as Moss, crazy
He's actually covered a lot but still makes the catch. He was an absolute beast.
@@danejurus69 nah we wasnt covered he was either wide open or he had the whole back field on him 3 men plus normally he was open until they sicked the whole squad on him
Arona Sanchez hes a cheat code in madden
Was thinking the same. A bunch of these he was wide open and got underthrown, then had to go up and take the ball away from the db
IF MAHOMES WAS THE QB "JUST RUN AS FAST AND FAR AS YOU CAN RANDY IT'LL BE THERE WAITING ON YOU "
