I am 74 and an old MOPAR man. But I like luxury now and have been driving BMW's for past several years. I currently have a 2024 M4 Competition convertible in Isle of man green with orange interior. It is a great car!! It's hard for an old guy like me to believe the power you get from a 6 cylinder engine. Back in the day of muscle cars, we always said, "no replacement for displacement." Not true anymore. If I had my way, my M4 would be supercharged. No matter what they do, you can never do away with turbo lag. No lag with a supercharger. But I know it's about gas mileage and efficientcy. The only other complaint I have about BMW is how they have done away with all the buttons for the A/C and having to go into the idrive system to do anything. Give me buttons I can set and just push a buttom to get what I want. I have owned two Dodge Hellcats and my little M4 is faster in the quarter mile that the Hellcats. Of course, that is mostly due to the all wheel drive system.
Thank you for watching and thank you for commenting and sharing your experiences. I love the M4! To get rid of some of that turbo lag you could get a tune on it. But a Supercharged V8 option would be amazing! I hope you subscribed!
I have a 25 Sapphire Black convertible w/ red interior and 1300 miles and absolutely love it. Power and exhaust in sport mode are super addictive. Back seat is actually comfortable for my 5'10" 22 year old and his buddy. Agree you dont want the carbon fiber seats or the carbon ceramic brakes. Too expensive to replace if you're going to use as a Daily Driver. Try it in launch mode and you'll get a nice shot of adrenaline. Really shocking how fast this car is. The only thing that sucks is the brake dust on those monster brakes is a lot and those wheels are not easy to clean, at least to my standards.
I have a 2024 M4 competiton convertible. Isle of man green with orange interior. Do like I did and replace your brake pads with carbon fiber pads. No more brake dust and no noise and they work great.
I just sold my 2022 BMW M4 competition with X drive It was probably my all-time favorite M3/M4 and I’ve owned each one since the E 46 M3. Looking forward to getting the next one, probably a 25 or a 26 for the money, you cannot beat these cars
I was only able to drive it for about 30min, but the shifts when I drive it were crisp and when I gunned it, it performed really well. What do you think of it? Thanks for watching and I hope you subscribed!
I own that exact spec however I have Gold brake Caliber with Carbon Ceramic Brakes & Black Carbon Bucket seats. 2025 M4CXD with full carbon package & CCBs. Absolutely love her! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The best high performance daily driver you can buy on the market. Such incredible value. With just $6k in mods you have a 720WHP & 700lbs 9.7 second 1/4 mile highly practical all weather+season daily. Reliability Technology Build Quality Interior Materials Usability & Practicality Drive-ability & Adaptability Performance ceiling Performance gains with basic mods Performance versatility(dig, roll, prep, no prep, street, track, backroads) When all factors are weighed, you cant beat it. Esp for less than $115k fully loaded. For less than $125k all in, the car will outperform $350k+ supercars, with usable backseats and trunk space, good fuel economy(30-32MPG on the highway when conservatively driven), etc. BMW hit a grand slam when they paired the modern marvel of the S58 engine with their RWD biased XDrive system, and when you want a little RWD fun its as simple as pushing a button. By far the best value high performance car available. I did own a 2022 G80CXD, but it didnt have carbon bucket seats or Carbon Ceramic Brakes, and I wanted the optimal spec of this platform to fully build out as a first-in-class drag & show car while still maintaining OEM drive-ability+practicality. If you are in the market for a new performance car, dont make your purchase until you have test driven a G80CXD or G82CXD. You wont be disappointed, and when you bring it home, you wont experience a micro second of buyers remorse.
I have always loved BMWs because the perfomance and tech you get relative to the cost is unbeatable! Thank you for commenting, watching and I hope you subscribed!
This may not matter, but if I should be fortunate to get one, I would prop the hood open (in garage) after driving. All that heat built up can “do a number” (over time) to the electrical connectors, hoses and oil quality. “They” say it’s important to not drive a turbo hard and then park it, as the turbos need to cool down. It’s recommended to keep the car running so the cooling system can keep the turbos cooled.
@@filonizYes, I should have included this fact that I am well aware of. I still believe that the hood should be kept open to continue cooling below the set point level of the cooling system. Keep in mind that the fans draw energy from the battery (after engine shut down) which runs your battery down.
My worried is about the turbo in long term. Not being a rich guy able to change the car every two years I'm evaluating to get one of these and owned for at least 10 years. Nowadays high performance means to push a small engine to its limit with one or two turbos. I'm wondering what is the lifespan expectation with this stress technique. Instead of the old school and long last V8. This simple fact is making me to hesitate to purchase this or a V8 (almost in phase out in the market)
I can tell you from a tuning perspective that inline 6 is no where near maxed out from factory and there is plenty of power to be had. To me if you keep it stock you will be fine for many years. This is the ultimate daily driver for Perfomance and fun at a price not too outrageous Thank you for watching and and I hope you subscribed!
Don’t need to buy one, just rent it from Sixt rental cars which is what I do, then your not stuck with an old model when they update and then your done with it and return it. Their always there when you need to drive one so why buy a depreciating car off the lot, it’s dumb.

What are you leaning towards more. M4 or the M3?
Great question!
The M3 for the versatility if you have a family or maybe want to do more long distance travel.
