Alright just gonna copy and paste this here, because a lot of Jojo fans don't know this... In case you want to know or haven't noticed it on your second watching, the reason why Jotaro's bluff is so terrifying to Darby isn't just because it's a bold move. It's because from Darby's perspective, Jotaro's stand was starting to show the characteristics of the World. A super fast stand that the eye can barely detect, not to mention Dio's body was related to Jotaro directly. So he's thinking "Oh shit, Jotaro's stand has the same powers as the World!" which makes it even more ironic because in that moment Jotaro asks him what Dio's stand power is. So now Darby is stuck between betraying Dio, and facing the wrath of basically a second Dio. It's irony, subtle foreshadowing, fucking amazing story telling rolled into an episode.Just fucking brilliant.
Isn't it because Jotaro was tricking him by making Star Platinum get stuff, like Cigs and Drinks really fast to show him that he COULD have swapped the cards, then D'arby lost confidence in his own hand and his own cheating and just passed out?
@@emeraldashborers4261 it is but like he said the speed in which he was doing that stuff was similar to the world. The anime did a good subtlety showing signes that sp had time stop. Look at the final moments of steely Dan fight. Steely Dan tried to get lovers into jotaros head but at the last second sp catches it fight before it enters you can see the background color distort as if it was the time stop effect.
@@lordgir2517 That wasn't a foreshadowing for Time Stop, that was just SP's speed at work. Lovers is still moving even in that shot, and the background turns gray instead of changing colors or distorting. Everything else is still in color, however.
Which ones are it? I mean, apparently the Emperor, apart from being like polnareff (who still absolutely would be more busted if araki realised that 7 afterimages as well as cutting light is something that can happen) got Hol Horse excluded from being a main character.
People that thought of mental stand fights like the older Darby's poker game as lame are probably the same plebs that thought part 4 should be skipped cuz not enough punching.
What kind of insane human being likes constant filler that gets you literally nowhere? Oh yeah and potentially great characters that are never re used again.

Young Joseph would honestly be terrible, excessive fan service like that ruins a story. Young Joseph would just be Old Joseph in a young body. Nothing different at all. Old Joseph is much better anyway.
To be fair, like nudity, fanservice is good when done tastefully. The thing about this was, this was a solid, valid excuse to use Young Joseph. It's not something shoehorned in JUST to make the fans happy, but it fits within the plot of the story. And I think it's unfair to say he'd be exactly the same. From a fighting standpoint, Joseph from Part 2 and 3 are worlds apart. Joseph had his hamon, clackers, and fists. In Part 3, the few fights he had, were almost always him using Hermit Purple. I don't think he threw more than five punches, if that, in Part 3, compared to his use of improvised weapons in Part 2.
His mindset wouldn't change immediately, and even then besides Hamon what would he do? That's just cause HP is much better than most of his tools, minus the gun and grenades.
have you noticed that all the 9 gods stands are channeled through something. Gambling, Swords, Water, a book, the body, age and shadows, ice, and magnetism.
It also makes a lot of sense because gods used to be a reason for people to explain everything so having them channeled via real world forces is genius.
@@davidhong1934 Gambling...Gods were also made to explain human traits...with both of the darby brothers their stands weren't tied to the games themselves, rather gambling as a whole. Hence why in the first darby's fight, he gambled three different ways.

The D’arby’s were definitely the funnest to watch. They didn’t have powerful stands, but had abilities and personal skills that allowed them to compete with the best of the best.

Joseph’s cheating in part 2 worked because his enemies were novices to it. Darby was established as being even better at cheating than Joseph, which isn’t necessarily an unrealistic possibility. For your future video on Jotaro, I want to see you break it down into what you said about him in the 3 parts he is featured promptentiely in. Part 1: OK Part 2: Breakneck Pacing Part 3: Slow but fun Part 4: Slow and Occasionally Boring Part 5: OK but Occasionally Boring Part 6: Like Part 4 but Much Worse Part 7: OK Part 8: ???
I believe Joseph V. Alessi was a thing in one of the games, and it had a similar result to reverting Jotaro. Basically Alessi only managed to bring Joseph to juuuust post Battle Tendency, where he was an amazingly talented Hamon user in his prime. And Joseph just. Absolutely. Wrecked. Him.
I would actually love to see a review of dio's assassins. Mostly because (and I'm getting the opinion that I'm in some form of minority on this one) I've yet to see either you, meti, or xforts do any form of analysis on strength/forever, which is (currently) my favorite stand (though it's worth noting I'm anime only and only know what I do of the manga from watching you guys). I realize it's technically not the most powerful, unique, or even creative, but it had its own special impact, as it introduced us to both bound stands and animal stand users - which gave an extreme air of mystery to that arc, as no one seemed to be able to comprehend what the heck was going on.
Just in case some people don't know, "Obelisk" and "Slifer" aren't actually egyptian gods. Obelisk is a kind of statue (a pretty cool one though), and Slifer is the name of the executive producer of the 4kids dub. A stand called Ra could've been cool but Ra is the Sun God and we already got a Sun stand.
Fun fact: In the original Japanese, Slifer is actually called Sky Dragon of Osiris, with a similar naming mechanism to Winged Dragon of Ra. So Slifer's original name is in Jojo.
So wait they actually had a fighting game character that was like 1/3 the size of the others/could fly/and did AoE... that is ridiculous. How was that allowed as a playable character... wait could they put him into smash bros or jump force because that would be awesome.
Something cool about N’doul is the fact that aside from his suicide and the quick appearance of his stand when he kills that spy, the entire time we see him he doesn’t move from that single spot, always remaining in the same place no matter what happens in the fight
Can I just say, that I am very glad and very greatful that I can still hear and see very well? We all should be glad that we can all see and hear if you can. And if you can't, then I'm sorry and you have my sympathy.
she has at least more of a memorable personality than every once off enemy stand user in the first half of part 3 with only maybe the exception of steely dan and mannish boy
She's not even hot. However, I do like her because she's an example of a Stand User equipping themselves to fight effectively with their Stand, which is always interesting.
Hardly the worst. Between Billy Jean, Centerfold, Arabia Fats, Tower of Grey, arguably Captain Dragon, and most of the early SDC villains, Mariah is still a more interesting villain.
N'Doul is my go to for a really good stand user who figured out his stand and played to his stands strengths really well. Like I wouldn't say Geb is a stronger stand at a glance then say Yellow Temperance. On paper, Yellow Temperance sounds like it should be an absolutely godlike close range stand that would be perfect for hit and run tactics. Rubber Soul is a prideful idiot who just figured his on paper abilities would carry him, and that's one of my favorite parts of Araki's work, he really tries to illustrate how a person uses their stand creatively to show what kinda person they are.
Kaleb, I totally agree with most of things you said in this video, and I do absolutely love N'doul, Daniel J. D'arby, and Pet shop. Moreover, I think that you should totally do a Le Squadra one. That there is a dangerous bunch of fun bad guys.
Boingo honestly deserves his own video,he's the most bizarre villain in part 3,the guy appears in 3 episodes trying to kill the crusaders yet they never even see him,he's pretty much the main character in those 3 episodes
Maybe, after part 8 is done, Araki could do a what if series, a weekly series of different events, like what if Joseph fought Allesi, what if Josuke was in Koichi's place in part 5, etc.

Yu-Gi-Oh part 3: the crew battles accross a city for the 3 Egyptian god cards
Me: hmmmmmmmmm
You talk about the pacing problems in part 3, but this video really shows that you love it.
For your future video on Jotaro, I want to see you break it down into what you said about him in the 3 parts he is featured promptentiely in. Why you think SDC Jotaro is cool, why DIU Jotaro is great and why SO Jotaro is purely poetry.
I can't wait for your Naruto.
Part 1: OK
Part 2: Breakneck Pacing
Part 3: Slow but fun
Part 4: Slow and Occasionally Boring
Part 5: OK but Occasionally Boring
Part 6: Like Part 4 but Much Worse
Part 7: OK
Part 8: ???
I believe Joseph V. Alessi was a thing in one of the games, and it had a similar result to reverting Jotaro.
Basically Alessi only managed to bring Joseph to juuuust post Battle Tendency, where he was an amazingly talented Hamon user in his prime. And Joseph just. Absolutely. Wrecked. Him.
Thank you for these good videos to feed my hunger for JoJo
Should you do a video on la squadra?
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!
Y E S!
Right in time for Hollow Knight's Gods and Glory
Shoutout to all Hollow Knight fans.
Hollow Knight is amazing
Imagine if bastet was a cat, and his power activates when you pet him
If N’Doul was a fisherman, he’d be next to unstoppable. Prove me wrong.
I'm sad there weren't glory gods with cards of obelisk and slifer
This ain't no Yu-Gi-Oh
Just in case some people don't know, "Obelisk" and "Slifer" aren't actually egyptian gods. Obelisk is a kind of statue (a pretty cool one though), and Slifer is the name of the executive producer of the 4kids dub. A stand called Ra could've been cool but Ra is the Sun God and we already got a Sun stand.
Me
Fun fact: In the original Japanese, Slifer is actually called Sky Dragon of Osiris, with a similar naming mechanism to Winged Dragon of Ra. So Slifer's original name is in Jojo.
Ra is magicians red lol
They were the highlights of Part 3. The first half had still some unique fights, but its with them that Araki started to really get good with Stands
N'Doul: *exists*
Jotaro: *Yeet the dog*
My favorite is Darby younger because he asked "Are you going to do that Ora Ora thing?"
What happened to joskue after part 4 that’s what I want to know
He assaulted a shopkeeper for dissing his hair and got put in prison forever
Emerald Ash Borers oh so he's in part 6 then
Lived in morioh normally until the end of part 6
@@faceflooded 😳
Young Darby with his stand could have been the most deadly minion but he just want to G A M E
So wait they actually had a fighting game character that was like 1/3 the size of the others/could fly/and did AoE... that is ridiculous. How was that allowed as a playable character... wait could they put him into smash bros or jump force because that would be awesome.
Boingo foreshadowed Jotaro's death. LITERALLY his head split in half. Genius...
Bamboozled The one thing Araki didn't forget
My favorites are N'Doul,Petshop and Daniel D'Arby
Joseph laughing at the stand Set: Haha you’re in danger!
OINGO BOINGO BROTHERS
BRUDDAS*
SHINJITERU ZE
Imagine if jojos ended with jonathan waking up and saying “that was a bizarre dream.”
you forgot about the REAL god from part 3, Kenny G.
B I L L Y J E A N
Defeated without a fight!
Something cool about N’doul is the fact that aside from his suicide and the quick appearance of his stand when he kills that spy, the entire time we see him he doesn’t move from that single spot, always remaining in the same place no matter what happens in the fight
*I misread „Thoughts on the 9 glory holes“.*
"Ok, we need to defeat 9 egyption gods."
"You mean 8 egyption gods?"
"Yes, six egyption gods."
I would love a JoJo: What If? series just like what Marvel Comics does.
Oingo and Boingo: Morph face, Book that you read and nothing else.
Talk about Heritage for the Future! I'd be so cool.
The D'arby brothers best lines: *OH, THAT'S A BASEBALL!*
*Go ahead, Mr Joestur.*
Can you do a tier list of all minor villains in jojo ?
I straight up read the title as “The 9 glory holes” I legit had to take a moment to comprehend what I just read
1:36
*GUYS I CAN'T BELIVE AVDOL SAID OOOF*
Can I just say, that I am very glad and very greatful that I can still hear and see very well? We all should be glad that we can all see and hear if you can. And if you can't, then I'm sorry and you have my sympathy.
Mariah is my least favorite villain. Shit stand, uninteresting, only thing going for her is that she’s hot.
I kinda like her, but yeah she's a discount Midler
she has at least more of a memorable personality than every once off enemy stand user in the first half of part 3 with only maybe the exception of steely dan and mannish boy
True. Still not as bad as Alessi.
Fun fact the crusaders probably thought vanilla ice and Kenny g were the final Egyptian gods because they didn’t know oingo or boingo existed
That's pretty funny
@@gamerule18 yeah
I always thought that D'arby was a Lucifer kinda character. With the souls poker and cheating ect~
the thumbnail looks badass
just wanted to point that out
they all look badass next to eachother
Please do La Squadra
We need a OVA for Oingo and Boingo. Also one for Hol Horse since he's pretty op.
one for hol horse, id rather have him over that over oingo boingo. theyre both annoying.
Let's get La squadra
N'Doul is my go to for a really good stand user who figured out his stand and played to his stands strengths really well. Like I wouldn't say Geb is a stronger stand at a glance then say Yellow Temperance. On paper, Yellow Temperance sounds like it should be an absolutely godlike close range stand that would be perfect for hit and run tactics. Rubber Soul is a prideful idiot who just figured his on paper abilities would carry him, and that's one of my favorite parts of Araki's work, he really tries to illustrate how a person uses their stand creatively to show what kinda person they are.
Mariah is the best and if you say otherwise you can square up with me.
Salter 25 Where you at
Hawa Sankoh That comment is hella old, I don’t even like Jojo like I used to.
Salter 25 Uh
No lie pet shot had us all worried about iggy....
Now we have Crazy Diamond’s Demonic Heart Break. Which tells a continuation of Hol Horse and some of the other Part 3 antagonists.
Thoth was basically an anime version of "That's So Raven"
Not even the joestar secret technique could beat n'doul
The virgin Punching Ghost
The Chad Evil Sword
The Lad Key Turtle
The Thad Moral Support
"I RAISE YOU KAKYOINS SOUL" him just chilling in bed This book is really- WHAT IS- **body falls limp**
Maybe, after part 8 is done, Araki could do a what if series, a weekly series of different events, like what if Joseph fought Allesi, what if Josuke was in Koichi's place in part 5, etc.
