Revelation has exactly 1/2 of the damage that Maw of the Void does (tested with base Isaac, maw of the void does exactly 105 damage, meanwhile Revelation does exactly 52.5 damage with a base 3.5 damage) Meanwhile, Brimstone does 31.5 damage at base damage, which doesn't align with either maw or revelation 2. Big point - Revelation and Maw have EXACTLY the same charge time 3. Neither maw of the void or revelation actually replace your tear effect unlike Brimstone 4. Both items scale off ONLY damage unlike Brimstone 5. Same types of synergies, while neither having as many as brimstone does 6. Maw of the void is not JUST a circle, it is a BEAM in a circle 7. If maw of the void was a beam, it would be too op, since it is the counterpart of revelation, it trades utility purposes for pure damage at the cost of being short ranged.
