    DO NOT RE USE YOUR CRUSH RINGS! I know because I've had problems on other bikes before. Yeah yeah I know it's $20 for a set of knew ones but trust me it's cheap compared to replacing the motor. RIP Daytona.

      What could happen if you reuse them?

    • @htmt07
      @htmt07  2 роки тому +4

      Panda is technically not wrong. If they leak, due to dynamic Pressure, fresh air could get sucked into the exhaust. Since in this case it happens in front of the O2 Sensor, the ECU will enrich the mix. So you consume more fuel. If your engine runs very, very rich, the excess fuel could wash the Oil from Pistons and Cylinder walls, which can result in a blown engine.
      I couldn't get new Gaskets in time, since they weren't available. But now they are changed.

    • @htmt07
      @htmt07  Рік тому +1

      Thank you very much.
      Just use a small dab of any grease. It's just there so the Gasket doesn't drop down. As soon as you start the engine the first time, all of it evaporates.
      So don't use too much of it. It might do damage to the Catalytic Converter.

    • @htmt07
      @htmt07  Рік тому +2

      In camparison to the stock Euro 5 exhaust, it's a big difference. But it's not really loud. I try to explain as detailed as possible:
      With the stock exhaust, I could only hear the engine up to a speed of roughly 70 kph.
      With the Akrapovic the wind noise drowns out the exhaust note at about 110 kph.
      I use to have a Roadsitalia Thunder Exhaust, where I still could hear the engine at 160 kph (but that was obnoxiously loud)
      My Helmet is a Skorpion Exo 1400 Carbon.
      If you want a high value exhaust, get Akrapovic or SC Project, if you want more sound, go for the cheaper (but also very nice quality) Options.
      But remember, depending on the country you live in, you might get in trouble with the authorities 😉.

That's why I went for a quality product, that gives me (a little bit) more noise, less weight and better materials.

      Sorry for the inconvenience. You might want to carefully loosen the bolts again.
      I didn't had to change the bolts, but if exhaust bolts snap, it could be really bad. In the worst case including drilling out the bolts from the cylinder Head😑

      @@htmt07 i will let it stay as it is, seems like its only one of the flange thats tiny bent and I dont think that torque will be any danger for the bike, its not skyhigh over the standard (also think that i put the torque wrench on around 37nm) and im afraid of leaks if i loosen it :)
      Seen videos where people go full ham without torque wrench so around 10+nm shouldnt be to bad 😊

      But the flange is supposed to be slightly curved, if you mean this. You can see also a curve on mine arround the 9:00 and also at 14:30 marc.
      This makes the bolt appear slightly bent as well.
      I don't know if I would leave the bolts overtorqued, though. To much stress plus a lot of heatcyles might weaken the bolt.
      I'm feel really sorry for the mistake I made in the Video. Imagine me spending hours and hours of (unprofessional) Video Editing and double checking to have all the clips set in the right order just to realise this mistake after the Video was live for about two weeks🤦🏻

      @@htmt07 mine might be a little bit extra bent but its not really much after googling on some other people.
      Hmm, might release it a tiny bit then just to be on the safe side, shouldnt leak anyway, got new gaskets when i installed it as well.
      Yeah i can underatand ur feeling but the blame is all mine, i watched the video 3 times before installing and some where in my head i knew that the torque was changed, but in all excitement i forgot about it and had for some weird reason disabled the subs 😅

      It probably is. Even if it's not too loud, it's not an exhaust build and designed NOT for this bike. So it's illegal no matter what 🤣

      Even though it might still meet the legal limit of this bike (what I doubt), it's still an illegal modification that voids the registration. Different Countries work with different laws and punishments

      As far as I know, the Exhaust Manifold of the Euro 4 Model fits on the Euro 5 rear silencer. But depending where you live, it's highly illegal.
