There's a cheaper version of the Akrapovic Titanium that has no cat and a removeable DB killer. The Akrapovic Titanium with the carbon tip shown in this video is a road legal option, and costs more than the alternative. If you want a loud pipe and want to remove the cat, buy the Akrapovic Titanium Stainless (no carbon tip) and you won't have to "mod" your exhaust and you'll pay less as well. Less likely to pass MOT, though.
Yup! Prefer the one with the Yamaha branding on though. Belgium is getting really strict with loud exhausts as well.
But how to pass inspection without cat ? Here in Germany they also test for exhaust emissions

@@rampiixxx7770 ja bringt aber nix wenn man die Race version vom akra hat oder ? Der doch nicht mal Papiere für ne Straßen zulassung
Does the titanium one fit 2021-2024 as well, cuz it's not listed on akra site for the said model years...
I like the mod, been thinking on either welding a treaded piece inside the DBKiller crown and then pass a screw on the new formed hole…that way you can place and remove the DB at will!
This is great! Keep up the good work
C’est mieux sans chicane ou sans catalyseur ? Car je compte en enlever qu’un
Sorry man, I missed one step. Once you cutted the tips from the inner side, you can simply get out the tips from the outside? Are them only welded on the internal side? Thank you very much
after removing the catalyst, did you remap the ecu? please answer me. I have removed the catalyst and now I am afraid of having to remap compulsorily.
I did not remap. 5k kilometers in and still no issues so I guess it should be fine!
If i use a puller could i just hammer it out instead of drilling the weld?
No you have to drill the weld. If you don't you'll probably pull off the entire exhaust.
So many exhausts come with easily removable db killer via a nut or screw. I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t do the same.
Most now require a weld to be drilled out because of eu regs.
There was no need to do this much work, I just brought the MT09 baffle, cut the 3 pipes at the back of the baffle and fitted it to the MT07 exhaust.
I couldn't get it to sound right with the 2 pipe setup, and no baffle at all was just too loud.
The older exhaust of this bike had a screw for easy removal but the newer ones are now welded due to regulations .
Hi, I’ve just taken the end can off and broken the weld with an 8mm bit. Unfortunately I’ve now had to put it back together without taking the baffle out. Do you think I can just take a slide hammer to at some point and pull it whilst on the bike? Many thanks.

Any exhaust mod of an EURO5 engine without ECU/injection remap will burn your exhaust valves and overheat the entire engine 😂 good luck to engine replacement soon 😂
no protection with the cutter?be careful
I don’t get it, at the second you cut the front part, police officer knows its modded… This won’t work in my country haha police is smart here, i will do exactly like you but remove hidden pipes and keep the 2 in front like it’s legal hehe
Haha yeah you're right! I've seen a few people do it that way. Thanks for watching!
Possible que tu me fasses la même chose ici en Suisse je te paye si il faut 😉
Why you didn’t show the sound difference ? I suppose This is the reason why most of us came here 😀
You're right 😅 haven't had the time yet.
What about now? @@krollmt09sp
