You can do a sinus massage in order to help release the sinus fluids. You take your hands and massage below your eye sockets in small circular motions. This will help break up the mucus in your sinuses.
You can also do a lymph flush of your neck massaging down your SCMs. The Eustachian tube is what drains your ears and sinus which can get clogged by mucus build up. By restoring the flow, we allow the body to detox our sinuses.
This is something I would start doing at least twice a day.
I want to talk a bit more about why this occurs as well.
When you treat this with medication or antibiotics this can be detrimental to your gut microbiome and well as the good microbes you have all over your body.
Any time you kill off overgrowth you become susceptible to candida and fungus.
You kill off all the microbes in your body that help keep the other bacteria in check.
We are made of more microbes than we are actual human cells! They play a bigger role in how you act and respond than you do!
It’s important to keep the right balance of these microbes in order to prevent opportunistic or pathogenic bacteria from taking over.
*ACV*
One of the best remedies for this is ACV. The acidity in ACV can help kill off any growth of bacteria, yeast or fungus. It will also help aid digestion. 2 tsp in water before your meals and
Betaine Hcl can also help with this if you are struggling from GERD. You can continue to add another pill until the acid goes away.
Let’s talk about post nasal drip.
Post nasal drip comes from the back of the sinuses which drains down the back of the throat. This can be due to bacterial infections, viruses, fungus, candida or biofilms.
If your problem lasts all year long then you could have an overgrowth of fungus or biofilm causing chronic exposure leading to sinus issues all year long.
*How do you determine which it is?*
There are labs tests that can help you determine what’s going on. Although a simple rule of thumb is that…
Bacteria/Fungus - Yellow/Green
Virus - Clear or White
Another solution is to do a sinus flush.
Salt water using a netty pot can be a great option to flush out your sinus. Salt is antimicrobial and will help rid any bacterial or fungal infections.
- Most of these have instructions on how to flush out your sinuses using the salt water
- Some doctors also recommend that you can use baby shampoo to flush your sinuses. You want to make sure that you use a baby shampoo that has the least amount of chemicals and additives
If the majority of the mucus is being produced in the throat you may want to look at povodone iodine. This can help with infections in the tonsils or parotids glands if there is an infection in those areas.

how do we treat the after effects of covid 19? Almost every night, I feel like my wind pipes are being blocked by the mucus. No matter how much I try to cough it out, it doesn't come out. I feer I might suffocate to death. please advise what to do
Have you tried any of the suggestions in the video?
In my case, mucus constantly stays in the back of my throat and i can feel it but i can't spit it, it won't come out either through my nose or from my mouth, i visited an ENT , he suggested me a few breathing excercises, but they didn’t help, can i ask my doctor for an endoscopy test, for i guess i have acid reflux too
Your body has low hydrochloric acid.
@@hardeshnarine6598 low hcl, so what do I need to do abt this ?
I have the same problem.. I take slippey elm for acid reflux & sore throat,& stomach .Take this for a few days & it should improve.
Betaine HCl, Zinc and ACV can help with low stomach acid.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Being acidic, does apple cidar vinaga worsen throat dryness and further accumulation of muscos?
My mucous appears every time I consume anything dairy and takes ages to get rid of
Ah, yes. Dairy is a very common food allergy. The increased mucus is an immune response to try to denature the milk proteins. You can either take lactase pill to help break it down when you eat dairy or try to find dairy substitutes. Hope this helps!
H😊
Dairy products milk cream butter and cheese also yoghurt you may have allergy or intolerance or infected sinuses ice cream custard cream cheese anything cream cheese milk white sauces not good
@@Eileen-d2p I though so too , but avoiding all dairy made no difference
I almost died in more than two occasions choking on the food I swallowed coz it don't go all the way to the stomach instead it goes down to about my chest and then came back up slowly like something's pushing back up, it took like forever until it surfaced and a lot of sticky mucus along with it. So, I thought the mucus is the culprit that make me choke after blocking the food half-way in the oesophagus and pushing back up to my throat!! I don't know the cause. How can I remove the abnormal mucus in the oesophagus?
Hmm, have you seen a doctor for this? There is alot to unpack with this. I'd need more information.
@@drtoddstrongDC it starts just recently, about a week after I got allergy in my throat it started happening, started finding hard to swallow food, almost like the allergy caused my throat to decreased in size, it felt like it mean. Before the allergy, it never happened, just to inform. I can't walk due to physical weakness(it's been 4+ years now) so I struggle to walk. I used office wheel chair to move around the house, washroom, kitchen etc. in 2023 I went to the hospital twice for check up in different occasions, two different hospital. In both hospital check-ups they find nothing, the results are pritty much normal accept my potassium level is very low and also my albumin is a bit low. There are more to it to how I became weaker and weaker but I usually don't talk about that coz I'm not sure which one is the reason I am how I am now so.
@@3D_mode-n5uI make sure I sip water with my meals, & eat slowly & carefully, small bites. I was always told as a child, don’t wash my food down. But this advice is old school. Don’t eat fast & wash your food down, but I have a small esophagus & the method I described works best for me. Of course your situation might be different. I have allergies & a lot of mucous builds up which also clogs the throat. Best wishes.

I think I have ’Long COVID’ symptoms. Persistent cough, but minimal mucus /phlegm. Any advice? Nothing seems to help the situation, nothing relieves the situation. Some days / nights are worse than others. Very little is coughed up, I just feel my throat is continually clogged up. Wheezing etc, but, I can’t clear it.
You can try doing some ACV in water 3x a day is where I would start. From there I would look at adding some anti-viral foods, garlic, ginger and berberine. Might need to do a complete immune system reset depending on how bad it is. I would also look at vasodilators to get more blood flow to the lungs. Beet root and cayenne pepper are good for that. Mushrooms are my go to when it comes to immune support to beat out any underlying infection with the natural immune system. Not medical advice but what I would do for myself. Hope this helps!
@@drtoddstrongDC Thank you so much for that wise advice. I’ll try anything to relief these annoying symptoms. I already consume a lot of garlic, honey and lemon juice, and have done for years, but with little beneficial results. I’ll try ACV in water, that’s new to me.
@@nickybritain3661 you are very welcome. Try for at least 30 days and then let me know how it goes!
@@drtoddstrongDC OK, I tested POSITIVE for COVID, but no symptoms! Just had another test a few mins ago. Waiting results, 30mins. I’m expecting positive again. Crazy situation, many people could have Covid and not know it. I’m in hospital but not covid related possible problems. Just checkups, blood pressure and heart efficiency. Lung efficiency is very good. It’s all good, but for the damned wheezing / coughing.
ACV not effective yet, I’ll persist. 👍😀
@@drtoddstrongDC In the meantime I tested ’Low Positive’ for Covid, so I didn’t get out to get some ACV. However as soon as I’m out of isolation the first thing I’ll do is get some and try it.
Even though.. I suspect I might be allergic to dairy products, I still consume foods containing milk or cheese. I’m not entirely certain about my allergy, but I’ve noticed my phlegm is crystal white, which makes me wonder. Despite this, I continue to eat dairy because I don't have many other options available. And I don't know what am I supposed to do at this point.. I hope that clarifies things.
Do you not have access to dairy alternatives?
The doctor diagnosed Muscle Tension Disphonia. My voice is very low and sometimes I struggle to speak.
Alkalinity vs acidity is the issue. Blood must be at _6.5 acidic. That restores balance.

Cutting out all grain based foods fixed my 60 years of sinus mucus floods. Keto now, and having most of my calories as meat. Still having Dairy. One thing to add is that I take a dab of a multi salt ( Black salt ) for me before any drink I have now. Without Plants you can run short of electrolytes.

This sounds like an environmental allergy causing the issue. The tips in the. video can help during that time!

I have this for long time. One doctor suggest Mucosolvan for mucus. One doctor suggest nose spray for runny nose.
I think it depends on the route you want to go. It also depends on what is causing the runny nose? Is it a bacteria, virus or another issue.

I suffer from a mucus up w high takes my voice away. Sometimes I can only whisper by the evening. I can feel a mucus blockage in my throat but cannot clear it. Any thoughts ? Would gargling help?
Sometimes a salt water gargle can be effective especially if you feel the build up. Do you spit anything up or is it just stuck in the throat?
It has been recommended to me to take ACV, (apple cider vinegar), I guess it’s an acquired taste, but, if I’m In trouble with coughing and mucus, or indeed, coughing and no mucus, I’d try anything to relieve the symptoms. It’s not expensive, the darker the color, the more natural I was told. Might be worth a try, what have you to lose?
@@nickybritain3661
Thanks so much. Do you take the ACV with. Water and how much.?
@@henrywhite-smith3253 It’s down to personal taste. Some people take two or three dessert spoonfuls of ACV in a pint / 500cc’s of water. I vary the strength between approx 25% and 50% but then just a small glassful of water. I don’t believe you can poison yourself with it, but, maybe take a good spoonful or two, or three, just neat, if you can take the taste. Personally I’d take it neat to start with, anything to relieve the choking feeling when you cough. Screw up your face and get it down your throat! Good Luck. 🤪🤪🤪🤪👍
@@nickybritain3661 Thank you so much. I am certainly going to give ACV a ‘go’ and see if it works for me.
