This is why when I was born my dad totally left my mom and followed me out of the room with the nurse. The nurse told him to stay back with my mom and he said, “no chance. I’m going with my baby. I know what she (my mom) looks like. I just met HER (me)” 😂 he loves telling this story lol
“How DARE you prioritize your children who call you Dad” I love that they kept 11’s name private for the child’s safety etc. I wish people understood the seriousness involved with fostering.
True. Whether biological or not, a parent is one of the most important needs of a child. He did right by breaking up with her. Those kids are his. She would have been just as horrible if he had bio kids with someone other that her. She'd better pull herself towards herself if she ever wants a relationship again. So many people have kids by someone they're no longer in a relatively with. F om a personal perspective, I don't believe any bf I had from the time I was mid 30s, had no kids. 2 were still involved with stepkids even after they broke up with the mom because the bio dad's were not present.
My thoughts too. He said not to say just break up, but that kind of person will never change their mind about what constitutes as “your children” and priorities. She was testing him to see if he would choose her over them, and when she found out they were rightfully his priority, she didn’t like it. Someone who would test their partner like that is one of the reddest flags to ever red flag.
Op is fantastic keep going!! family is who makes you feel safe, adopted blood or foster if those boys love him and he them they are family no matter what even if just for a while.
Op can legally adopt them eventually, they just have to go through the process which OP stated that he's two steps away from it with 11. I was adopted by my foster parent the same way.
Never never allow the nurse to leave the room with the baby without the baby's name tag bracelet. My nurse tried to do that with me and my grandpa blocked her n and wouldn't allow her to leave without my id bracelet on my wrist.
The “white stuff” on the brother when he was born is called vernix, it’s normal, it occurs in all babies regardless of ethnicity or race. The amount on the baby depends on their gestational age and amniotic fluid level at time of birth. It’s a cottage cheese textured protective cover over the baby’s skin at birth.
Never able to understand how adults can’t be so rubbish to kids. Especially kids that have been through what many fosters have had to deal with in their life.
Mine has an "angel's kiss" and thank God for that because due to my traumatic labor and C-section my postpartum depression made me a little paranoid. This is my baby got sure
Re the foster kids I know there’s a perception that adoption is permanent while fostering is just a temporary placement and that can be the case with emergency care but sometimes it’s adoption in every sense except the legal document because the kids have a parent who won’t sign the over. The gf in this case had been told that the kids were permanent, she just didn’t want to believe it because they didn’t fit into her vision of her ideal future family.
Now days the babies have a bracelet with a barcode that matches the moms along with a security device on the ankle so that it can't leave without being discharged and the last big change is that unless it is in the NICU they no longer take babies to nurseries.
My two boys were in the foster system for almost three years. They were in two homes during that time. The first home was horrible. They abused them to such a degree that they lost their liscense. The second home was nowhere near the nightmare the first one was. Kids everywhere deserve stable safe and loving homes.
Nah you can't tell mixed babies apart 😂😂 parents have done the challenge. Kids can tell their moms hands apart but the parents can't pick out their kids 😂😂 it's diabolical hilarious
In my hospital when I had my son, they were HARDCORE about the tags. I once took my sons tag off because he stuck his foot in his diaper, so I was cleaning it and the nurses ran over when I placed it on the counter finishing changing him, having a serious stroke choking out who took it off scowling at one another.. and I was like.. “mm .. it was me 🙋🏼♀️ my bad” and they told me to NEVER remove it again or my own band that matched his until he left the hospital or we’d have to “confirm” he was my son for me to be allowed to take him home or visit him in the NICU.. ie run biological test confirming he was in fact mine if I removed my tag in the two weeks he was in there
1. Sofia, my 19 yr old and I LOVE your sweatshirt. 2. You guys make me laugh. Carrying a firearm all of the time is not a weird way of life for a whole lot of people! It's just you shouldn't give one to someone whose cheese has slipped off their cracker if you know what I'm saying!! 3. You guys help me pass my work day, every single day!! Ssshhh, don't tell the boss!!!
“Whose cheese has slipped off their cracker” 🤣 I was reading comments on my television & had to log into my phone to comment. I love this! LOL I, too, love her sweater 🤭
I agree with a lot of what the brother believes. Minus the racism. So far it just seems like OP doesn’t like that. His brother disagrees or has different views as him. He can just say hey when you say X it makes me feel Y. He can specify what he does and does not want to talk about with him. OP can’t change his opinion on things, but they could relate to different things. 35:47 I know I haven’t finished the story, but unless he is actively threatening him, I don’t see anything wrong with what the brother is doing. Like is there a specific incident or threat that he said. I also believe that an arm society is a polite society. Why does an OP start carrying around a gun himself?
To comment on a remark from the first story. Dating gets easier when you’re in your 30’s. That’s absolutely true. I’m divorced with no kids but it’s been easier to match and date than in my 20’s.
I was told long ago that everyone talks about the dark ages and among historians. The joke is yeah, it was for europe. It was in middle eastern doctor in those same dark ages who'd already figured out that our eyes absorb light, they don't emit light
If he is supposed to be long term and not be with his mother, I wouldn’t have done it, cuz his mother will just further hurt him, especially that she had 3 more kids and they are with her. He will think he isn’t good enough to be raised with her like his siblings. There’s a reason they took him away in the first place…I know from experience with my bio dad
No fostering ii isn't always good. First person experience, some foster parents don't care and are only in for the money. The department is a horrible entity that brakes the law, over medicates children.
Well personality isn’t genetic but temperament can have a large genetic factor though like how emotionally responsive they are or how introverted or extroverted
Also it's got to be a switched at birth thing because if they would have just mixed up DNA results then his DNA still would have popped up but with a different name
Reddit commenters are reaching on the first story. Good lord. The only issue I had was that he was trying to find a way to not end the relationship at first.
(Don’t agree with ops brother at all) what do people honestly expect from these confrontation?! They will be caught of guard look crappy AND DOUBLE BACK HARDER! You want an honest conversation tell them why you’re meeting and if they don’t show
@zoeb3573 once the parents are out of the picture you can adopt the child then that is your child until then you are just acting guardian The girlfriend was garbage and good on him for picking the children but doesn't change the fact that they're not his kids until he adopts them the state can take them whenever they want
@@sethwatkins5909 relationships in fostering are more complicated than just "you're my kid or you're not" though. Also coming from someone who has seen it firsthand. I don't think you can judge one foster family based on how some go. It's a whole world.
Technically speaking, nothing is wrong *legally* . But if his family is uncomfortable with a gun being around, then people like him, in that situation, should be prepared to be isolated. I don't have an issue with responsible and reasonable gun ownership and carrying, but it ain't coming inside my house. I don't care if it's my own mother. Leave it or don't come
Aren’t we walking a fine line with racism here? I have many white friends who I’ve seen be put down in public because of the hate going on. Hate against any race is unacceptable.
Obviously, 11 sees himself as different because he wants his actual mother. This guy is delusional as heck! He didn't pass her test,& this has always been an issue in their relationship. Blood literally makes you family,& nothing else. He never chose her in their relationship, ever. So, she forced him to choose. She didnt want a relationship with the kids,& doesn't have to have a relationship with strangers if she doesn't want to. She has boundaries & expectations he never met. I dont buy his sob story. She forced him to break up with her because she would have been called * itch for breaking up with such a loving forster dad. The amount cognitive distance in this commentary isnt shocking though.
Wow, maybe you should track down the girlfriend and you can be unempatgetic people together. She never told him what her boundaries and expectations were; just decided on a ridiculous test, real relationships don’t involve ‘tests’.
@@zoeb3573 Everyone else is either a stranger, friend, or acquaintance. You have 2 parents at birth,a mother & a father that you DNA is linked to. Everything else is made up. It's indisputable! 😂
Yes, all relationships require expectations, wants, desires,& if you don't meet them you break up. The man expected her to treat his foster kids like they were hers because he was lonely asf. He ignored her boundaries,& expected her to take on a mother figure role to kids he chose to foster. He wanted a ready made family without putting in the work to make sure that's what she wanted. I understand he's lonely & desperate, but he chose that for himself, she didn't.

Was just going to comment. I just took a prenatal class and they don't recommend wiping it off anymore, and just let it absorb into the baby's skin.

Having a brother and having him is two different things
Story 2) do love milk but that’s just a personal preference. Other stuff sounds a little harsh. I wonder who that person is voting for 😏
You definitely get a good bit of your personality from genetics 30 to 60% which is how they were able to breed wolves into dogs

Just so people know, there’s an update.. he is NOT related to any of them
I could tell my newborn because he was so hairy 😂

No way the last story doesn't have an update... Anyone know if it's since been updated??? 😭
I am venezuelan. I have a very similar genetic makeup as the brother!!! and I also have fam in galicia! the world is tiny!
