    In full wave rectifier model, . Is it necessary to connect a capacitor. . .?!??

    • @ECAcademy
      @ECAcademy  5 років тому +3

      In this video lecture only full wave rectifier is explained whose output is pulsating DC which contains ac component (ripples) also. In any rectifier We need to connect capacitor to remove ripple from the DC output.

    from which information are you getting 81.2% efficiency??? and also the? ripple of 0.482???

    • @ECAcademy
      @ECAcademy  5 років тому

      There is a derivation for all these values, which I have not done in this video.

    Sir in exam we can directly write the efficiency and ripple factor values...or..we must derive and than write

    • @ECAcademy
      @ECAcademy  3 роки тому

      It depends on the question... If they ask you to mention then just write the formula... If they ask you to derive the expression then you have to do the derivation....

    It is StepUp transformer or StepDown Transformer..

    • @ECAcademy
      @ECAcademy  5 років тому +1

      Depending upon ur application you can use any one of the transformers.... but usually for electronic devices “step down” transformer is used. For example 230V ac is step down to around 5V DC by your mobile charger.

    Sir, during the negative half cycle will the current produced by diode 2 will flow through load resistor?

    • @ECAcademy
      @ECAcademy  3 роки тому

      No… as per our connection in the negative half cycle the current will be due to the conduction of diode D2.

      So the current due to the conduction of D2will not flow through load resistor.. Am I right sir?

    why efficiency is 81.2% why not 100%

    • @ECAcademy
      @ECAcademy  5 років тому +2

      In practical diode we can not obtain 100% efficiency due to forward voltage drop across the PN junction. Hence it is having the efficiency of around 81%. 100% efficiency can be obtained if we use ideal diode... but ideal diode does not exist.
