Good looking jig. I've tied a few using the material after seeing your video and I spray Pam cooking spray on my finger to rub on them to make them last longer. Catch bluegill on them also.
I really like this pattern and I wonder if there is a variant for trout. I’m going to have to make this and any other color patterns that you might have used. Thanks! P.s. I’m up here in N.E. Tennessee!
It’s amazing that you can use materials you can get at Hobby Lobby, Walmart, etc. for little or nothing to make these jigs other than buck tail or marabou that can catch crappie. Also like you jigs with silly legs. I made a bunch of those and can hardly wait to try them Nice job Roman.
Very interesting I’m going to the dollar store right now try to make me some jigs and see if they work on my pond here in Virginia take care I love the videos
Looks like a great alternate material. You noted possible stores to find the material but what is it sold as? I'd like an idea what to ask for. Many thanks!!
Roman please start showing the sticker on the end of your thread. You say this was 210 denier but I think you migjt have mis spoke. Not a big deal but if someone is following your instruction and buys the red 210 denier it will look different when you are wrapping the hook shank. The reason I say this is danville 210 flat waxed isnt as metalic as the thread you are using in tbis video. Other then that....outatanding video. I have been playing around with this material and it does extremely well when incorporating it in the jig. I found some of this material in a white/blue shimmer and it is by far the best color when making jigs. Almost a monkey milk color.
I have tied jigs with the same materials and the work great just keep the separated from the other baits because the plastic tail will start breaking down and stick to anything it come in contact with. Still a great bait though.
Thank you for a killer jig. Great combination of colors and action 😊
I have never thought of using this to tie jigs😮 great video and can’t wait for more.
