🌎❣️ Excellent update, Eric, and thrilled to hear you have more videos in the works! Your how-to info is the best, yet I might enjoy the travel scenery even more! Thanks! 😎✌️
Let me start by saying thank you for teaching me how to build a van. 3 years ago I also built a Sienna mostly designed like this. Just some things to think about, the bed can be built without tedious latches to lock it in or wood that sticks out in the leg area, found the design on a different channel. Also, based on yet another channel, I rebuilt the kitchen this year and removed the sink, just keeping the water faucet and we'll never go back to having a sink again. As you say, space is limited so we got rid of the sink and grey water tank for even more space. Agree that having 2 fans is a must. As always thanks for sharing!
It’s a pleasure. I am glad that you appreciate. For the bed having this in mind is a good thing: ua-cam.com/video/WIJTMOTVzFI/v-deo.htmlsi=FMVgLdLS7PKdncjh Thank you for your comment et and for sharing your experience and perspective✌️
Hi Stephan, can you share with us this specific video about this bed design you talk about? And thanks so much Eric for all those MinivanRV bible videos!!
@stephandoiron6904 what did you do with the space savings from the sink and grey water tank? and do you have a link to the video that inspired your change?
You mentioned in one of your videos that you have never been caught or asked to leave where you have chosen to park. I am starting van life soon and I was wondering how you acomplished this. Perhaps you could make a video describing how you choose where to park. If you have already covered this I didn't see it on your channel, but I will probably find it as your videos are very informative and I am watching alot of them.
I have fantasized about the van life for almost twenty years, but now as a family man with a Sienna minivan, stumbling across your video makes me realize that the van of my dreams is already parked in my driveway! I'm very excited to try some simple and inexpensive conversions to try out making the Sienna soccer van conversion to camper van. Thank you!
It’s time to realize that dream! Go ahead! You will never regret this! Life is so great on the road!!! Enjoy your project! Thank you for sharing and your appreciation 😃👍
Your conversion videos were a HUGE inspiration to me. THANK YOU! I borrowed your layout when I converted my 06 Sienna and have been comfortably living in it full time for almost 2.5 years so far. I have a sink in mine with a rechargeable lithium powered faucet but most washing I do with two industrial style spray bottles. One is water with drops of Bronners Castile soap and the other is straight water. Bronners liquid soap is biodegradable and does a great job of cleaning anything and especially dirty pans and you’ll use a fraction of your water cleaning with the spray bottles.
I do remember you. I am glad to have news from you! Thank you for sharing your experience. I really appreciate 😃 I really like having news from people who has completed and/or are following my videos! Enjoy! ✌️
I'm glad you're still going. I loved your videos of what you actually do and don't need. I often come back to them for inspiration when I think it won't all fit in a swb van 😅

Thank you for all your videos! They were such a great help in my Honda Odyssey van build out. I am currently outfitting the van and putting on finishing touches and hope to be on the road with my camera gear, computer stuff and journal sometime after the New Year. I have copied many concepts of your design, however I did make several adjustments. For a faucet and sink, I went with a counter faucet with USB charging that I could slide my electric 300w coffee pot under and for a sink, I have a plastic sink liner that does not have a drain but I have a large funnel to transfer the waste water to a gray water jerry can. I went with a 2000w inverter and a 300w battery work station for working inside and outside the van. I also reconfigured the bed. It does not have a backrest anymore, it all folds back upon itself but still allows access to the "basement" storage from inside the van. For interior lighting, I took a desk lamp that had electrostatic switch and mounted the neck of the lamp permanently to the counter top. I was hoping you would create a video on how you did your van ceiling LED strip, but. . . .Necessity is the Mother of Invention and I came up with a personal solution that has very little elect. draw and does a great job of providing needed light Thank you again!. Your videos were the foundation of all I have done with my first build out. ------------------ I am located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago IL. ( . . Thanks for the initial video and the update, very much appreciated! I really like the folding bed concept with add-on table, which gives you a daytime sitting area and the cooking surface inside the van. Quite agree that cooking outside only is quite limiting esp. when raining or windy. As a whole I absolutely share your considerations and approach with greatest simplicity in mind combined with a reasonably comfortable indoor living space for bad weather. I'm not surprised you've added a second fan, as at night temperatures above, say 20-23C it's getting way too hot for two people inside, esp. with the fine netting on the windows in wet climates. I'd consider adding a rooftop opening/fan for such nights. The only thing I'd like to hear more about is where to place a portable toilet. If you're only going to the outdoors, you might not need one, but my own experience shows it's good to have it even only for emergency use or when stealth camping in a city. I've seen recently very nice looking small size composting designs which should do the job.
I was not aware you were from Quebec! A fellow Canadian! We installed your bed in my old 2005 Chrysler Pacifica SUV and it was so useful but after my pacificas frame broke I bought a full size van. Although we didnt put the bed in the sanme way from back to front we still reused the bed and moved the hinges to make openings under the bed instead. Ive seen so many people use your bed build in their vehicle. So glad you did an update. Always good to hear of long term updates on things. I bought a lithium battery right out of the gate and do not regret it.

I just started the conversion of my Fiat Multipla and I am watching all of your videos to do so ! So many possibilities but so many bad ideas avoided so far thanks to you ! Best channel, thank you for sharing !
Thank you for another great video. I love the functionality of your minivan and that it works well with two adults. My late husband needed to be able to stand up, so we found an older Canadian camper van and had some great experiences before he died. Now I am thinking the minivan is a palace for one and so much more economic to drive that I am going to build our minivan out. I will likely keep the big van because it is really nice on more civilized trips to visit friends and family, and because it is older it doesn't cost much to own it. We have used it as a guest house too. The minivan allows me to put kayaks and SUPs on top which would be impossible with the big van. Your videos have been an inspiration. Thank you for creating them.
I am sorry for your lost Anita. It is good to read you about travelling. What a good idea to have both sizes. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your new minivan project! Don’t hesitate if you have questions.✌️

I have a 2007 Toyota Sienna Minivan Camper too! Siennas are fantastic for minivan campers. My bed setup is different than Eric's bed. I made some modifications to an REI Kingdom Cot 3. My bed works well, and I have more storage. Good luck with your build!
Hello Eric, nice to watch your video again! I find them very interesting and motivating. You give a lot of really helpful advice. From your videos and those of some European channels, I drew inspiration to design my Van. I worked on the project for many weeks, I considered various possible solutions, comparing them on paper. To do this I had prepared several photocopies of the van layout and on each I drew a different configuration. I also followed your advice regarding the markings with adhesive tape on the floor and the simulation of the internal spaces, the dimensions, the heights of the seat and the length/width of the bed. For the 3D simulations I found it very useful to recycle various packaging cartons that I recovered from waste from local shops and companies. With the cartoons I managed to build the outline of the furnishings. For the bed, however, I did some simulations at home then, inside the van, I built a bed made with two plastic crates for bottles, two wooden boards and the seat cushions of the sofa at home. Ahahahah! All these 3D simulations helped me a lot to find the right dimensions of the furniture, the best location for the refrigerator and the most ergonomic positions for the seat, for the sink and for the sofa / bed, which can also transform into a chaise longue. I hope in the short future to find time to make videos and make my project and my experience available to the community. A bit like you are doing. Not for popularity (I'm not the social media type 😅) but as a contribution for other enthusiasts. Thank you very much Eric for your videos, for your advice and for sharing your experience. Warm greetings from North East Italy Ciao 🇮🇹👋🇨🇦 😊

Thanks for the update! Looking good after all those miles and years.
Yes! As new! Thank you Tommy for your comment ✌️
Thank you for sharing your experience. I am glad to read your comment 👍✌️
I used that same brand of no-see-um mesh to make my screens. 👍

I wish I was as handy as you are with the woodwork and conversion . Have fun stay safe.
Thank you Kenneth! You should try, you will certainly surprise yourself! 👍
Thanks so much for this update. 5 years of regular and fun use of your van is fantastic. I'll be traveling in my minivan in 24 and am currently measuring to build the bed. Very excited!

Really appreciate the update Eric and so nice to see you are still going strong, you are a leader among minivan build ideas and your name often comes up. I have a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica that I converted but no where near your expertise. Im from an Ontario and also head down to Florida every year in the winter. It would be lovely to run into you and share stories,
Thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate! We may effectively cross our path in Florida. This happen occasionally that people recognize me. It is always a pleasure to discuss. It would be a pleasure ✌️🌴😃

Eric, welcome back! So very glad to see this video, and can't wait for the future ones you mentioned. Thank you!
Thank you! I really appreciate your comment 😃👍
Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge, it was the push for us to buy a van and just try is. We do copy your layout, it just seems to work. So, thank you!🎉

I feel the same way about faucets!
We should start a movement 😉
Thank you for letting me know 😃✌️
Thank you very much for your update. Great to see how a successful minivan traveler has adapted their ways for efficiency. I copied some of your build 3 years ago. I would love a video on electric set up from someone like yourself. I don't have that yet. I use a large battery box for electric with foldable solar panels to charge. Great to see most of what you have done is still functioning well. Happy travels Eric!

Glad to see a new video, still building and tweeking mine thank you for the inspiration. I have one of the uco lanterns but I've always been worried about the CO2?
Always use ventilation as explained here:
ua-cam.com/video/L6Ryi76fHOc/v-deo.htmlsi=u0RfLoXHfl4qh2K2
It is known in Canada to carry candles in your car in case of being stock in your vehicle in a snow storm. It can save lives!
Thank you for your appreciation 😃✌️
@@ericenjoysearth2756 aww wow thank you for taking some time out to reply. I'm well ventilated I'll give them a try
Thank you for the great videos!
I hope you’ll do another video on power. I’m completely unsure of what to do to have power for laptop, phone & fan charging, and maybe using an Insta-pot, but that’s not essential.
First thing, you must know how much power you need, so that you can build an adequate electric setup. I will explain in a video
Thank you for your appreciation 😃✌️
Learned so much from you. Looking forward to your upcoming videos.
Thank you Laura! 😃✌️
Cool minivan conversion, thanks for taking the time to make videos explaining your build.
Thank you John for taking the time to give back gratitude 👍😃
You are the Minivan Guru! Please make that new electric system video, I am building my minivan based on your model and still don't get that part. Thank you❤
Thank you for your suggestion Carolina! It help prioritizing 👍
We enjoyed this video immensely ❤
Thank you 😃✌️
IDK how you don't have a million subscribers, this is the best vanlife content on yt. My setup is pretty much going to be an unashamed copy of yours, but in an 07 Sienna, with a couple personal touches of course. Looking forward to the electrical episode!
Thank you Jordan! You made my day with this comment! 😃✌️
I have a 2007 Toyota Sienna Minivan Camper too! Siennas are fantastic for minivan campers. My bed setup is different than Eric's bed. I made some modifications to an REI Kingdom Cot 3. My bed works well, and I have more storage. Good luck with your build!
Great job on your build of your custom Toyota truck with ultra rare OEM seamless snugvan shell imported directly from Japan 🤣❤️
Hello Eddie! It’s a Toyota Sienna assembled in the USA. 😉
Thank you for your appreciation 👍
Hello Eric,
nice to watch your video again!
Warm greetings from North East Italy
Ciao
