I love Bob for his songwriting. It was weak on DTC. THAT is the complaint from those of us who don’t think being a fan means automatically adoring everything the artist produces.

@@michaelmcdonald8452 Actually, some of his best songs are on that record. The production just didn't capture GBV that well.

I don't think it's a banger and in fact think 70% of Isolation Drills is better, just to accent that I'm not a "if it's not classic lineup, it's garbage" fan.
Keep in mind, my comment was in response to the OP fawning with usual Bob worship language to what is a pretty pedestrian sentiment.
Incidentally, my band opened for them once on the DTC tour.

It’s strange I’ve seen interviews she’s done earlier on this channel and she didn’t stutter.
Without delving into it, she was going through a lot during this time, before she converted to Catholicism.

I'm not saying this to knock her skills as a journalist, but I'd be willing to bet that she is probably a creative person, maybe an artist first and a journalist second.

Re: the stutter. Probably a normal reaction to sitting through Mr. Pollard's pop quiz at the start of the interview. Good content, especially in drawing out how GbV play-acted their way into becoming GbV. Circles within circles.

This is the first time I see an interviewer stutter so much
wow surprised i never saw this before, wasn't familiar with her but ultimately loved it. get through the sloppy start and there's some great inside exposure into a band thats been prodded and measured as much as any.

Everything about this interviewer is terrible. Just one obnoxious mistake after another. Talking about "real" music labels, the flat joke about being "regular", constantly interrupting, and that awful laugh...
Oh Lighten up. She was flirting and she has a nervous stutter.
The band seemed to have a good time and it was better than your run of the mill interview where the same generic questions are asked. You're just a miserable person by the sound of it and I hope you've changed in the 6 years since you wrote this comment.
@@copheart No. It's still a bad interview. Maybe you should reread what I wrote- the criticisms are entirely valid and you offer nothing substantial to contradict that assessment. I'm very forgiving to amateurs, but even I've got a limit. The fact that you would cast aspersions on my character says a lot about your lack of good judgment and kindness- I hope you change for the better someday...
