I feel like you can make any place look amazing with this cinematography
Hard to make the Cascades look bad!
i just don't get how do you make the forests look so dark yet so green make the light glimmer yellow like never below its like that atmosphere and i have seen it with my eyes it doesn't look quite as good as you make it look how do you do it i just don't get it is it filters? is it camera? is it processing? im just so amazed. @@AidinRobbins
What an amazing video man! I'm really glad to see you getting some more traction lately!
One of the most underrated youtubers atm
I don't usually comment on videos, but this is just awesome. I'm an undergraduate geology student and I must admit that glaciers were never all that interesting to me until recently. I am currently taking a geomorphology course instructed by two very prominent glacial geomorphologists and they've absolutely lured me into all things glacier. You clearly did your research and did a great job simplifying some of the more complex dynamics of glacial activity. Geologists are so often concerned with what has already happened and the breadcrumbs we've been left behind, and it's a great change of pace to have someone like you remind us that the present and future is just as important. Very well done, I'd love to look at more of your content. It's a shame this video has
I have seen many glaciers around the world, and it is the same story; glaciers are melting at an alarming rate. The "heart's" arteries are being clogged with higher greenhouse emissions, warming the planet, melting the ice, and leaving less ice to reflect back the solar radiation. It is a nasty feedback loop. Impressive video, Aidin. Superb storytelling, cinematography, and editing.
This is the lie Blackrock and the World Economic Forum and so on have been feeding you and everybody else, because they want you in fear because then you will be more easily controllable. If you haven't noticed yet(sadly you have not) there are actual evil people in this world who want to rule the world alone and want everybody else to submit to them. Modern day slavery.
You can look up Patrick Moore and see what he has to say about carbon dioxide and more. Climate change is a business that are constantly being altered to fit the narrative of evil people. These people couldn't care less about nature. It's just a tool to cause fear and make humanity tear eachother apart. They want us all to suffer, and eventually they'll offer the one solution to fix it all(obviously all bs and lies) which is giving in to them and let them do what ever they want with this world. If you as much as think about disagreeing with them, you'll have that on your record, and before you know it we're all meat robots with no lives.
You people are helping evil have it their way because you eat and spread their lies every single day without question.
the albedo effect- right?
@@idontcare2851 By and large glaciers are retreating. That does not mean that all are--If those near you are stable I'm happy to hear it. The one I visited more recently, Perito Moreno, is too. But those are the exceptions to the rule, and should not be used as an excuse to brush away warranted concern.
Glaciers were almost gone before the Little Ice age a few centuries ago . Climate change is a grift
Your storytelling is bone-chillingly inspirational and informative. I'm always looking forward to more content from you.
I recently had the once in a lifetime of opportunity to visit Iceland as part of a school trip. I’m only young, 16, but it changed me. On my third day we pulled up in seemingly the middle of nowhere. We met up with a group of really lovely locals to go glacier walking, but at first I was very confused because ‘base camp’ was almost out of sight from the glacier itself. They explained to me as we hiked towards the glacier that where we were walking used to be glacier 20 years ago, but due to climate change it had receded leaving a deep, long valley. I was shocked, obviously, but what hurt me and put the scale into perspective was that the ‘base camp’ and car park used to be at the foot of the ice just 25 years ago, and yet now all that was left was a partially flooded valley floor for about 2km before actually reaching the ice itself. The glacier walk itself was magical, but since returning my mind keeps on casting back to this moment. It’s made me realise how small humans are, yet their impact on the world is greater than I could ever imagine. The future is really up to us, and since my trip and discovering your channel I’ve been so inspired to just get out there and travel the world and, more importantly, protect what we have left and to help the Earth recover where possible.
Thank you for all you do, your content is amazing and I really appreciate you raising awareness about the natural beauty of this planet! ❤
I am an ecological and climate enthusiast and activist as well as a dedicated fan of your work which makes me so proud to see this video. You had a topic/problem that is not uplifting and put into gorgeous visuals and thoughtful explanation which truly inspires hope. you created hope. what a beautiful thing
That's a great hobby and profession, climates are allot more interesting than people think.
very rarely do i rewatch a video on YT, but yours, I do thx
Fantastic job, Aidan! The glaciers look so imposing and incredible, it's disappointing that we forget how vital they are to the world.
Thank you Tommy! 🥹
The rate of melt that’s happening in the Cascades is terrifying. We must act quickly to preserve what’s left.
And what exactly do you intend to do which will stop the melting?
@frankblangeard8865 🤔something tells me he'll just continue to be terrified and virtue signal about how we need to act despite it's impossibility.
Incredible video. I climbed Rainier earlier this year via the Emmons Glacier, the first time I've ever been on or even near a large existing glacier. The whole experience really put into perspective how immense the glaciers are up there, and just how vital the glaciers are to the PNW in so many ways. Having been raised in North Carolina, it always seemed like "glaciers" were just something found in textbooks, not something that so many communities in the US actively rely on to this day.
Wow stunning! Glad to see you made one of the North Cascades and all of its glaciers. It’s one of my favorite places here in the Pacific Northwest. You’ve been hitting many of my PNW area video checklists lately! Between this and the PNW 400+ ft Douglas fit old growth one and various others. I try to watch every single one of your videos and share them around whenever I can. They’re the best nature documentary style videos and films I see on this platform or anywhere else.
Fantastic work. Your style of factual storytelling is unmatched.
Beyond words.... BBC NEEDS to get you as their CINEMATOGRAPHER. Congrats on another magnificent documentary!
Wonderful. No better way to bring across the vital importance of sustaining glaciers around the global than via cinematic footage of the highest quality. Truly amazing work and thank you so much.
Your videos are so easy to follow and have been a big part of me falling back in love with the earth. Thank you for another great video Aidin!
Beautifully created, Aidin! Love these docs you make cause they inspire me as a filmmaker, but also educationally teach me something useful - always feels refreshing!
Your analogy at the end of glaciers acting as the heart of Earth is perfect. Incredibly video as always!
These are some of the most beautiful videos on the natural world I've ever seen. It's amazing how informative and well made they are, and Aidin absolutely deserves more subscribers.
Bro you’re the ONLY person that whenever I play your videos on my TV I have to put the volume 65% up and the brightness All the way Up!. Now that’s not to take away from what’s actually happening which freaking sucks ! But man why couldn’t you be history teacher back in high school? History class would never be boring
It's really great to see your filmmaking put into something you are passionate about to tell an educational story beyond filmmaking. Awesome work.
Aidin is the best at telling stories in youtube!!! Man you need to make a masterclass!!
Thank you for this! I was just in Iceland last month, and seeing the glaciers in person whilst hearing about the effects of climate change really impacted me, and your movie definitely inspired me to do my part
I really appreciate the films you've been doing centered on ecology/environmental issues. They are concise, informative, and very well produced. As an ecologist who works in part on coastal climate change and sea-level rise (in the PNW and California), I've come to believe that film and other artistic media often have more power to convey the importance of healthy ecological systems to humankind than any amount of data that scientists can produce. Of course the science is critical to understanding the magnitude and urgency of issues like climate change, and to developing good policies to addressing those issues, but scientists often may not have the reach that film, music, or other forms of art can have to the public more broadly. I'm also an amateur still photographer, printmaker, and writer so I've increasingly thought about ways to convey conservation information in non-scientific ways. Great work!
Your storytelling is out of this world! Can't wait for the next one
Your video's deserved to be viewed by millions
It's a good sunday when there is a new Aidin film 😎 once again, truly inspiring!
Aidin, you have absolutely nailed this. You’re storytelling capabilities are unparalleled to anything else I have seen/heard on this platform. You’ve simplified a complex natural occurrence, paired it wonderful visuals, shared how it impacts the entire world, and kept me engaged for the full 11 minutes. I really hope that this video gets in front of the eyes of people who do not have much of a connection with glaciers!
man you are going so deep in these story's. I could keep watching them over and over again :D
What a gorgeous ending montage. All of your videos have a calming awe about them. Beautiful photography and editing as always.
Your voice on the topic and clear genuine concern for environmental issues always shines through in your videos. The goal of this video to showcase a much more tangible way to perceive so many things related to glaciers and their impact on the world as a whole was achieved. Well done as always. Huge fan. Love what you're doing here.
Haven't watched it yet but the quality of your videos is insane. Keep it up! ♥
Man I don’t visit your channel often, but this was honestly such a captivating video. From the sound design, the wide shots, the super closeup shots; Everything was beautifully knitted together. Planet Earth on youtube.
I've been to the North Pole 3 times (Navy) and have seen what the accompanying ice scientists had to say firsthand about the diminishing ice sheets. I live where there are glaciers and I can say that I can definitely see that they're getting smaller every year. It's alarming and scary to see glaciers disappear. I frequent the Nooksack River area as well as the Kulshan wilderness area. Seeing Mt. Shuksan and it's many glaciers are a true gem in the North Cascades. In fact, I was probably out in that area while you were filming.
@@idontcare2851 there are old photos from the turn of the last century of the glaciers here in the PNW that you can see. They were way bigger and it's a shame to see how much they have receded.
Really love the intricate storytelling and education packed into smaller video, very informative, watchable and fun. The glaciers of inside passage Alaska will always have a place in my heart.
Aidin is the best filmmaker on UA-cam.
Narrative, images, voice over, pace, everything is perfect!
My wife came into my office just now while I was watching the video, I didn't even notice and she asked me... what are you watching that has you so immersed? 😅
You’re an Insanely talented artist, with amazing cinematography skills, inspiring!
You have some of the best production quality on UA-cam. No joke. Cheers mate

You are a nice person
Another fantastic video. And im glad to say ive seen these glaciers youve been to in person. So lucky to live in this area.
This video was worth the tremendous effort you put into it. The quality speaks for it's self but thank you. It's an inspiration and a joy to experience.
Bro idk why you dont have more followers, This is just Amazing! 😍
Great movie! I’m working on North Cascades film as well, and planning to post next week. Great cinematic story!
I feel like I could watch an hour+ documentary from you. Keep up the good work
the quality of your videos are crazy dude... thanks!
That last line is really good...wow. Way to bring it home.
Another masterpiece, man! And to be honest, it was one of the best talk about your sponsor that I have seen on UA-cam
Aidin, you are the King of storytelling !!! Amazing!!!
Only content creator I put time out of my day to watch and fully watch their sponsorships in the video.
Beautiful video, I learned a lot and the visuals definitely helped to tell the story!
10:54 "The Ice continues to inspire artists of all mediums today.."
**Flicks to a picture of a man choke holding a penguin in a noose**
Terra Nova expedition, some incredible photos in there. But yeah not sure what the thought process was for that one
ive never missed any of your videos. so much cinematography and so much information too. Keep making more and more aidin.
Chef's kiss👌 Educational, inspirational and beautiful
Spectacular video as always, it was extremely informative, and the footage was incredible.
Johnny Harris vibes - great video and fantastic job!
Top cinematography right here!!! Fckn great job!
I have seen glaciers we have them in Norway, they weren't too far from where I grew up. One of them is called Briksdalsbreen, it's located further in a national park called Jostedalsbreen.
As always - amazing work!
Thank you for connecting us all regarding something we so easily take for granted...
I’d love to see a behind the scenes of this project!! Absolutely LOVED THIS video Aiden the story telling and shots were immaculate
this is an outstanding video about great topic with flawless production. thank you very much!
The cinematography does justice to how grand our world is
Always the goal 🥲
incredible videos man!!! Inspiring the next generation of Geographers
Love to see these videos Aidin! Thanks for talking about such an important subject!
One of the best yet! Wow that was good.
I recently discovered and absolutely love your videos!
This is amazing, Aidan! Please keep making these impactful films! Much love from Bellingham.
this was fantastic to watch. beautiful cinematography paired with well researched and informative substance. I could watch it again and again.
This was a privilege man... you're a master at your craft. Stoked to see this out in the world!
So cool Aidin! This past summer i was going to try and hike out to the same trail near Lake Ann right next to the glacier on Shuksan mountain. Its a beaytiful wilderness. Im an oil painter so theres a lot of inspiration up that way that I hope to explore more.
such a beautiful video keep it up. very nice script, it gave me goosebumps
Every time I watch one of your vids I want to go out and explore!
Thanks for another great lesson Aidin.
Aidin, absolutely brilliant video! The level of storytelling is FANTASTIC! I could watch a 2 hour documentary from you! Already looking forward to the next story you are gonna tell.
Stunning footage Aidin, this is top quality. Can’t wait for your next video
I love how you combine art with science! I get so excited with every video you put out! Thank you❤️
Swiss here. We have already lost 60% of our Ice by Volume in Switzerland since 1850. And the news even talked about the supermelt of the past two years. In 2022, we lost about 6% of our total Ice and this summer about 4% which are huge numbers, never seen before
Amazing as always, love how you are able to tell these stories with great visuals.
Beautiful images, but most importantly - the narrative
You are really brave of traveling and being under glaciers. I would be scared of even being there as you never know if there could be a collapse
Absolutely fascinating. Wonderful video man
Wonderful video! I always look forward to these thank you for sharing your gift with us❤
Beautiful and important video. I don't think many people in Central Europe have quite grasped how big of an issue the loss of the glaciers in the Alps is going to be.
New subscriber here. I gotta say your films are awesome! I'm hyped for your future content! Keep up the good work.
This is just Fantastic, the camera work and everything, just
such quality content. bleeding information and emotion
Thank you.
I love your videos! They're well made, relaxing, and informative.
For a channel with such high production quality, I don't know how your videos don't garner more views right off the get-go.
final monologue on culture hit, beautiful work once again aidin
I don’t know wether is my heart beating or a perfectly placed sound effect, amazing work
Haha glad you caught that!
Love your videos so high quality
Big Fan of your work
I admire your storytelling and flow your videos have, it's great you chose the nature as main character.
Very well done!!
Bro this is epic! Poetic yet very informative
Great to see you pursuing this documentary style and acing it, nice work as always! 🔥
Great work as always. Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
Another awesome video! Many thanks for all the inspiration
