As an aside. I've had lots of people comment lately about my voice. The general consensus is that it's pretty soothing and actually has ASMR triggers in it! I know I speak quite softly but I'd never really considered this to be a reason why people subscribe, until now!

Hey Jules! Just wanted to say a huge thank you for these videos. I know they don't get all that many views (although with the quality work that you put into these, I can see your channel growing!), but for me and I guess at least a good portion of the people who do watch them, they've been not only great content but also one of the things that have helped during this pretty stressful time. The peaceful and chill approach that you have is perfect, and the books that you talk about are interesting while being detached enough from everything going on and that it's a great way to destress to put one of your videos on.
Here's to your work so far and hopefully getting the viewership that videos this good deserve!
That's incredible kind of you, thanks so much. I'm not expecting my videos to get thousands of views straight out the gate, however some of my gaming tutorials are flying. UA-cam is very much a long game and the channel and view count will grow over time.
I've only been on here just under 2 years, so to be where I am now is pretty amazing to me.
I don't think you're alone in finding the videos relaxing, especially with what's happening in the world.

Excellent !!!!! It's a pleasure to see your cleaning process and hear your passions. Throughout my lifetime, I have been a cinematic fan of Bond. But this summer I transitioned into literary Bond. It's been very entertaining as a few entries rival the films. As a visual person, collecting the hardbacks has a strong appeal. Its nice to have and preserve history too.

Interesting and instructional as usual. I prefer using Broadart mylar sleeves -- more expensive, but adds a layer on padding, and faster to put on a dust wrapper.
I've used that in the past Andrew but am happy with these for now. I really like how it makes the jackets pop 👍
I've got to be honest Jules, I find this one more relaxing with the narration than the ASMR version 😉🥱👍

@@JulesBurt The narration one works just fine if not better. The Forbidden Planet brought me to your channel in the first place and that had narration....
It's true, the dedicated asmr version is ad-free. How do the adverts affect things on the narration version?

Love this video, and those BCA editions. To be honest it’s not something I realised existed until now and assumed that my Bond hardback collecting would have to wait for a lottery win. Now I know these are around and would look so good on the shelf I’ll see if I can gradually build a collection of the set.
Excellent idea! It only took me a few months but Diamonds was the toughest to find in nice condition. They do look lovely on the shelf🙂👍
@@JulesBurt the only Bond series I have so far are a set of the Pan paperbacks from the early 1960s, bought for a maximum of 20 pence each, some 30 years ago. I’ve just started collecting the more recent Vintage ones from around 2012 as I like those covers showing the figure of ‘Bond’ facing away from the camera.
I know those one from 2012 but the 60's Pans will always have a special place in my heart and my collection. These were the first ones (my Dad's copies) that I read.🙂

I have a few Cape's , but the price is restricting anymore purchases of those. I've started looking for these books now - I do love Bond.
Yes, the early Cape editions are getting crazy money, these are really cheap in comparison.
Why videos don't get many views ?

Sometimes I tidy up a jacket, it depends on what it's made of. Mainly I leave this as found and just clean the book.
