Thanks. Mayhaps the hardest thing in these repairs is the patience and attention to the small things ..needed. Good job my friend 👍 . Ps have you ever had to deal with those brittle wiffer thin covers. Thanks again and bye for now..
Try using banded clamps. These would keep the text block and cover firmly in place while the rubber bands within the jaws would press the spine cover onto the spine text block affording a better bond between them and needing less propping and fiddling.
I have a few fragile wartime Penguin Books in bags but most of my books are not in them. They serve a purpose but I like to dip in and out of a book and find the bags a touch annoying.👍
Chiming in here to add that there is a downside other than the barrier to reading, and that’s if you live in a humid climate you might end up trapping some of that moisture in there and potentially contributing to mold growing on your books, which nobody wants. I live in central Texas which is a humid subtropical climate and I don’t have any of my books in bags for this reason. So if you’re in a climate similar to that it’s probably not the best idea. At least, that’s the inherited wisdom I’ve heard. I could very well be wrong
@@JulesBurt It would surely take you awhile as many as you have. Plus the expense. All mine are in bags but I don't have that many to begin. Can't find nothing in the wild worth having.
Great job Jules. Takes a little patients.
I'd probably put it together up side down. 😂
It'd be easy to do! I had to do a double take myself, what a disaster that would be🙂
Another great video Jules
Thanks Julian!🙂
Just love going thru your videos. New & old. Fantastic stuff
Thanks Reg👍🙂
One of the rarest of the JB Pans :) Mine is a good quality copy but i had to pay a lot for it as a result.
For sure Martin, I would like a better example, but this will do for now👍
Amazing!
Thanks Bob, worth it on this one, bit of a rarity.👍
Awesome work!
Greetz from Germany!

Thanks Sylvan, I have had some very delicate covers to sort out but have usually managed it ok.🙂
I loved this. Thank you.
My pleasure, thanks!👍
James bond first person game on the Gba was fun

I have used something similar on a recent repair with great effect, thanks 👍🏼
nice job
Thanks!
Jules do you put any of your paperbacks in plastic bags?or do you think they do more harm than good?

Another good point. Apart from the reasons already mentioned, I don't think I can face bagging them all!

Also true, I can't seem to find any bugs reasonable priced. The best seem to be comic bags, which I don't mind folding down to fit tbh.
Polish more pls
I will if it warrents it!🙂👍
Really enjoy the book repairs ..appreciate the care that goes into the process.
2nd
Nice!🙂
