Moved here from Dorset 36 years ago, best decision I ever made. My daughters were born here and had degree of freedom not found in many places these days. I am able to look at that view everyday come rain or shine when I walk the dog and no matter the weather it’s always beautiful. In fact as we drive down over the top of Grizedale and Millom is laid out before you on a glorious summer evening it takes your breath away my kids wait for me to say “ look at that, that’s why I made your dad move us here” I say it so often it’s become a family joke 😊
God's own country, lived here all my 52 years, have fished many many times from that location and surrounding area, have dug worm and gathered crabs on the sands, a great place to live and one of the best views in the country Imo
Well done Millom stood your ground on a certain subject.

Thank you for your lovely comments....I hope my video did the town a bit of justice, it is a special place.

Its stunning & another really special thing is watching the tide fill & empty the Duddon sands. Magical.
Some cheap properties in Millom. Surrounding areas look good.
Millom has the road and rail links, nature reserves and views....some good building blocks for a better quality of life.
@@roadsandthings good to know!
Sad to see what's happening now
