Standard issue typically means lowest bid technically acceptable. I stay away from mil spec consumer products. They cut corners to turn a profit due to low bid.
Thanks for your question. To be honest, I haven't worn them (only tried them on), but the spring hinges seemed fine. Perhaps you were trying on a pair with a defect. Have you tried any other pairs to see if the spring hinges were consistent?
Thank you, and that's a great question. I honestly don't know whether or not the lenses are replaceable. Hopefully they won't get scratched and won't need to be replaced! 😀
@@nikeandaiza4521 lenses pop in & out. There is a thin wire looping from the frame & going under the lens & the wire does not need to be replaced each time. The optometrist lady replaced them in under 30sec.
Three of them are Prizm Polarized, which retail for $234 each; the other three are Prizm Iridium which retail for $184 each. They also feature spring hinges, which I totally forgot to mention during the unboxing... Whoops!
I bought the Pewter/Daily Prizm P pair and I love them, but I was kind of disappointed they didn't come with a soft case like my pair of Savitars did. I'm also a bit disappointed that I can't swap out the lenses in the Wiretap 2.0s. Never know when you may have to replace lenses due to an accident or what have you. For almost $300 I would think you'd get just a little more in the box and would be able to swap lenses. I'd still like to get the Maritime lensed Wipetaps as well, though because the Wiretap 2.0s are fire and just look sick AF Imo.
Beautiful looking frame and lens shape.
Thank you! Appreciate the input and thank you for watching! 🙂
The prizm maritime polar model is a OakleySI (standard issue) hence why no image on packaging and the different microfiber.
Ah, yes, I believe you are correct and I didn't initially realize that. Thank you for the clarification!

I was trying them on and the hinge was pulling out, is that a long term problem? They seem built to be a double hinge

Beautiful lenses. Reminds me on the Oakley whiskers.
Are the lenses replaceable ?

Don't forget to check out our other videos, and thanks for watching! 😀
Great 👍
Thank you, sir!
I don't understand glasses reviews that don't include wearing them. Would you review a shirt without showing it on a model?
Maybe some glasses are reviewed for their aesthetics and build. Many Oakley collectors don't even wear most of their collections.
