That's a complicated situation. I know Oakley has changed manufacturing slightly on many of their products over the years. Recently they altered the "ballistic cases", for example, and they no longer feature the metal icon but instead have a "raised" Oakley "O" logo which is the same material as the case itself. Likewise, you may remember near the end of the product lifecycle of the New M Frames (gen 3) Oakley slightly altered the nosepieces, whereby the outer plastic part was "smooth and rounded" as opposed to the traditional design that was always used. That being said, I am not familiar with any alterations or changes in production from certain years over the M Frames, but of course there may be slight differences - especially when considering standard M Frames vs industrial M Frames. Sorry I couldn't provide a more definitive answer, but thanks for watching and thanks for your comment nonetheless!

@@nikeandaiza4521 Thank you for the response and yes I feel a bit of changes in the M Frame from what I used once in 2009 during a sport game and the one I just received. To be frank it doesn’t seem like a Oakley that used to be made 10 years back and now the quality is really bad after luxotica took over them. Really miss the Juliet, Romeo, X squared and so on. 🥲

@@ashwinj6339 Sounds like luxottica TRASH. I just picked up a pair of Prizm Sapphire M2s and the microbag was horrendous (perhaps similar to what you're describing with the M Frame changes over the years). We'll probably shoot a video soon to discuss further, so stay tuned.

While it's exceptionally easy to "armchair quarterback" while sitting behind your phone/computer, let me explain a few details to you: 1) I was changing lanes - twice - which is why I turned on my right turn signal (and you can clearly hear this in the video), so to say I was "halfway onto the shoulder" wasn't entirely accurate. 2) The other driver absolutely "did" do something wrong; otherwise, he wouldn't have been pulled over by law enforcement. For one, he was riding my back bumper at a distance of approximately 12", which is a citable offense. The other driver also abruptly darted in front of me (clearly shown on the video) and came relatively close to hitting my vehicle... all to reach the controlled intersection about 3 seconds faster (not at all worth it). So yeah, he "did" do something wrong. And he was pulled over for it. 3) I'm a U.S. Marine and don't get "terrified" - certainly not by this situation, so save your sarcastic comments. 4) While I certainly don't have to justify myself further, I'll do it anyway regarding my windshield wipers (which have absolutely nothing to do with the situation regardless): it was raining hard and slow repeatedly that day, so instead of switching my wipers from slow to fast and back to slow again I simply left them on "high speed". Hope that makes you happy. I"m also accident and citation free for 20+ years so I'm fully aware of how to operate a motor vehicle and certainly don't need some snide commentator to instruct me on how to drive. But thanks for your truly useless input. Finally, the only thing I may consider deleting is your inane and utterly useless comment, if anything. Semper Fi.

I was driving approximately 25 mph which is shown in the video and changed lanes early, partially due to the fact that this "driver" was approximately 12" from my rear bumper. No human being on earth (other than you) is going to think that someone is "pulling over" when they're driving 25 mph and are "on the shoulder" as you say for a fraction of a second before the "shoulder" instantly becomes the far right lane. Nor is any reasonable human being going to drive about 12" from your rear bumper at 25 mph. Please save yourself further embarrassment and stop now.

What you didn't see in the video was that the same guy was driving approximately 12" from my rear bumper prior to the stupid (and dangerous) move he made, so yeah... I was LOVIN' IT when the cops instantly pulled him over. Are you lovin' it?

That about sums it up. In addition, many of these companies no longer prioritize customer service. After all, if they lose one or two or even a dozen customers it doesn't really affect their "bottom line" to a point that it's even noticeable for them. I come from a 14+ year sales background - highly successful - as well as owning and managing my own rental properties for 20 years. I would NEVER even THINK of treating ANY customer or tenant the way that these companies treat many of us...

I am very humbled by your comment and thankful that you read (at least, in part) my book. Really appreciate the feedback. While it's very true that not everything in the book will be applicable to each reader, there is still "something for everyone" who has the opportunity to check it out. Also, some of the specific tips are no longer applicable (i.e., the "buy one get one free KFC coupons") since things have changed. Still, it's a great, entertaining read and so glad to hear you're enjoying so far! And yes, so many of us (myself included many years ago) tend to spend money without thinking about it - until we check our savings and realize it's basically depleted. @@nikeandaiza4521 thanks! It was blind luck that I came across the Ruby set. BTW the first of the series, X-metal/Black Iridium arrived late 1999. I bought them from a Sunglass Hut at the mall I worked. Took them with me on my first trip to Japan in March 2000 (have pics but have to scrounge for them).

It really depends on the look you want to go for. In my case, they still provide adequate coverage even though they're not nearly as large as many Oakleys produced in recent years.

They seemed to run true to size when I tried them on, but back in the day (when Oakley first released footwear) the sizes ran big for sure. Sorry to hear that you had trouble with yours.

After having the opportunity to try them on in person, I do like the fit/design; however, I hate the color. 😞 Even at less than $360 (what I paid) I feel these are still too expensive.
