This guy is a genius. Ableton doesn't have a function? Writes his own VST to get it.

Very cool. I love seeing DJs setups that are actually "homemade" and not just out of the box. Steve is a smart guy.

For the interested, I've made a system in Live that kinda enables bar counts. What you can do when warping is create a dummy channel for each track send that you have. For example, if you're running a standard two deck setup with Track 1 = A and Track 2=B, you should make dummies for each so that Track 1 and 2 have duplicates of each other that are muted. Create a 2,4,8 bar loop for each dummy and live will show you how many bars in you are for each track. Do this for however decks you'd like.

Thats a SICK setup. However, while you do see some djs looking through their cd case or cheering on the crowd, some go on stage just following the flow of the gig and play songs that they feel flow really fast so its constant transitions which is awesome. Crizzly does this.

@gundambob646 well ive seen live streams of steve and joel and apparently he designs programs... once there was a convo where steve was saying how he designed some vital program which could make him a millionaire but instead of selling it to Sony he just put it up for free download

  • @Fredz162

@fishybishbash that's not the same at all. beethoven was deaf, he wrote some of the most complex music ever. if he had the same stuff as duda was using i'm sure it would have been even better.

Thanks for staying on the subject...god damnit internet community -_-"

your problem is obvious, never rely on a network connection for live sets, drop that $159 for the Alesis Dock to prevent issues like that.Lemur is GOD for live control of MIDI/OSC,period!

@Fredz162 Can you not see the ultimate irony in a dj saying that he could lose his hearing and do dj set. You could make the kit play music of course but thats not dj-ing is it - what a ridiculous comment. Its like saying 'I dont have to see to be able to drive'
