11:20 is such a great moment. Su and Moa looking towards Momo who stood away from them and getting her closer to them. Momoko is such a great addition to Babymetal, she really has some talent and potential.

I like how Su doesn't ask you to take out your phone & turn on the light, she tells you and you just do as you are told

Great reaction. This is a fan made compilation with footage from the concerts at Makuhari Messe in January and from PIA MM arena in Yokohama at the start of April.
The audio is from the PIA MM concert Clear Night (they did two nights there - Black Night and Clear Night). By "the right audio" people just mean you have found a video with the live audio from that concert and it isn't live footage with the studio audio dubbed over the top.
Clear Night was also Momometal's first concert as a full member complete with mic.
The swooping cameras - not just the ones on cranes, they also had drones being flown by a Japanese champion drone pilot at these concerts (if you look closely you can see the drones flying past them in a couple of shots).
The interlude where Su gets everybody to turn their phone lights on and hums the melody has become a set fixture in all the live shows this year.
The audio is clearly Returns for the music. Clear Night is much heavier, the drums hit harder, there's tremolo picking with the bass, and the guitars are lower, and the soundstage mixing is superior. KuroKiitsuneSama seems to have spliced together Clear Night dialogue into Returns audio.
@@Hymnodic Yes, having checked the description he has used sound from both, I was going purely by the fact Su called to Moa and Momo only on Clear Night, so we were both right.
BabyMetal is in essence are best being experienced live. Be it the massive Japanese venues or smaller international shows. These ladies will always give a master class of crowd control and stage presence. Not to forget that all of this from the genius mind of KobaMetal.
Personally, I can’t wait to see BabyMetal again at the UA-cam Center in Los Angeles. 20 friends and myself will do everything we can to bring the same energy we see from those Japanese crowds.

Sakura Gakuin was an Idol Jpop/rock group in which Babymetal was born, its members were girls between 10-15 years old and all the current members of Babymetal were in Sakura Gakuin at some point in its 10 years of existence.
The group had a school theme so when a girl turned 15 she "graduated" and left the group, Suzuka graduated in 2013, Moa in 2015 and Momoko in 2018.
Vtubers are based on Idol Culture too. They 'graduate' too. The funniest thing is when they call a bathroom break an 'Idol Meeting'.
Ok, so at first this video is a compilation of 2 shows. You can tell the difference by looking at the stage set up and when you see Momo without a mike. I don't know why the person who edited this video did it this way, maybe to get past copyright I don't know? At least most of it was the concert they clamed it to be. As for the camera shots... They had a drone camera flying around. It is a very small drone but you can see it occasionally. That is where they got the circling shots from and when the camera flies up and over the girls, because the camera literally did fly up and over the girls. This was also the first concert with Momo as a full member. I think she was still locked into being an avenger a bit and that is why she kept her distance initially, until Sue an Moa remined her, in a nice way, that she is now a full member of Babymetal. What is also amazing at this show wasn't the camera's it was the camera drone ! It was manual flown by the Japanese representative at the Drone Race World championships. 🙂

The Clear Night drone shots are insane. This compilation gets the best ones from Monochrome, but Babymetal Death and IDZ also have some awesome shots.

Totally agree about the drummer. He's Anthony Barone and he's one of my favorite drummers right now. And I'm extremely picky about drummers (eh, Lars? 🤣).
They used a drone for the footage that got your attention. Yeah, they flew drones in a crowded venue. Seems a little risky but the drone operator is a world championship drone racer. So, I guess it's okay. 😊
Yea, that touching moment with Momoko. It was her first day at her new job as a full fledged official member. That was very cute.

The drummer for this particular sound source is Anthony Barone. Maybe you can checked his drum playthrough (my recommendation Shadow of Intent - Underneath A Sullen Moon) for content variation.
I think he sounds much better with Babymetal. With Shadow of Intent his drums get drowned out by everything else being in the same sound range.
The drummer is not Anthony Barone in this one, its Hideki. The audio source is from the January's Babymetal Returns concert.I can say this because, on the Clear night concert where Anthony plays this song, the guitar plays a distinct lead on all three verses which they didnt play in January's concert which was played by Japanese Kami band members. This video did use the adlib during the bridge part from April's Babymetal Begins concert, which Barone played.
This audio is actually a mix of their performances from January and April, which had both drummers, Anthony and Hideki- this audio is both of them, not only Barone, if anything, most of the performance is from Hideki
Nice reaction guys , it's looks like the One already givin you all the info on song and performance. I thought i just mention the take your phones out part is not new to BabyMetal. I rember seeing fancam footage as far back as when BabyMetal supported Red Hot Chile Peppers on their World tour 2016 . Su got the audince to do this at a few shows i think it was a stadium in Denver i seen which was and they where the support band not many knew who they were . in the audience. you could hear a women say oh my god this is awesome .

Great reaction, Monochrome is my favorite song from their last album. Maybe you can see when they performed Monochrome during their World Tour in Jakarta, all the crowd singing together was very beautiful. As MOMOMETAL said during an interview with Rolling Stone Japan 🤘🏻🦊🔥
I love the electric version too. When that lead guitar riff first kicks in, even though I know it's coming, I get goose bumps every time. A beautiful track with some hard riffs behind, Babymetal at their best.

This!!!!!! Metali is a brand new level of epic awesome playful but powerful song, and the video may be their best ever!
I hated it originally, but saw it live and it just absolutely rips, it's like the best pop metal you could ask for.
It's crazy that the worst part of a Babymetal 2023 single featuring Tom Morello is that Tom Morello looks like a dork with his all white outfit and bucket hat, while Babymetal just absolutely shreds and has the best dance moves out there.
When you see it live and watch a whole crowd go wild, there's just no way you don't wanna schmoove yourself.

Great reaction and thanks for reading my comment on the video xd. This was recorded at the January and April show, specifically parts were from the clear night show at PIA arena where Momometal was officially announced as a member of Babymetal, so it was her first show as an official member, which it was so heartwarming and emotional to see. I don’t think it was scripted since they never did it during the tour with Sabaton. Su did ask for everyone to get their phones out, turn on the light and help shine a light on this dark world tho but they never grouped up like this. For context, in Japan it is considered rude and even forbidden to have your phone out during concerts, so when Su first asked for it at the January show, pretty much everyone was confused lol.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it wasn't scripted. Babymetal, as I'm sure you've figured out, is VEEEEEERY organized and scripted. They know exactly what they are supposed to do, when to do it and for how long. I bet inbetween each song when they are doing those climatical intros, that is when the girls and band are given 20 or 30 seconds to grab a quick drink, wipe the sweat off their face and then rush to their opening spots. So the fact that Momo didn't realize a) that Su was calling Momo to her for an embrace, and b) Momo had to look at Moa to see if/when they were supposed to break from Su to begin dancing to me shows EXACTLY that that part was NOT part of what they were supposed to do and that Su just decided to add it in on her own.

The Amuse is not controlling with malicious intent. It's like a preventative measure to keep them from getting into various troubles. It's to protect them. Of course, things may not go the way they want, but there is always a reason for that. they can't make money by controlling them for no reason. There's no point in doing something like that without a reason. The Amuse will not feel good about making these girls suffer. If Amuse have any malicious intent towards them, they won't let them sing in the first place. The person who wants them to be successful and happy the most is Amuse. they are buddy who consults with these girls more than you do and overcomes trials together. they are helping these girls by thinking more seriously than you.
It seems to me that you want to control them the way you want. Fans like you who think too much and have strong assumptions are dangerous.
Even if things don't go your way, the Amuse is their friend, not enemy. I'm sure there are many staff members at the Amuse who have been helping girls since their debut.
Once again, the Amuse is not the enemy, but the side that is helping them. Of course it's not perfect, but the Amuse wants them to succeed. That's probably more serious than you, whose failure as an artist doesn't affect your life.

Let's assume that you are a member of the Amuse and have been helping the girls since their debut. Let's assume that you have worked hard alongside them to help them succeed. But imagine that the hate from overseas fans is directed towards you. Be treated as if you are standing in the way of their success. If that's me, I can't stand it.
Thanks for the Babymetal reaction. They are playing this song a lot on the current world tour, it's pretty easy for the crowd to sing-along with and it has the nice phone part in the middle, so it's a good choice for live shows. Yes, that is one of the best things about seeing them in a more stripped down show. You can see the girls and the musicians all on stage together from a few feet away if you get up front.
Sakura Gakuin was the original idol group that BABYMETAL came from. Sakura Gakuin, or SG for short, was a school themed J-Pop idol group of about 10 to 12 girls from 5th grade elementary to 9th grade Jr high School age, with songs about school life, and sub-units based on school clubs like The Baton club(Twinklestars), Homemakers club (Sleepiece), Science club (Logica), and of course The Heavy Music Club (Babymetal). After the girls reach the age of high school (10th grade) they "graduate" from the idol group. So there was a constant rotation of girls every year. Su graduated in 2012, Yui and Moa graduated in 2014, and Momoko graduated in 2017.
You should check out some of their music. I recommend Su's graduation song "Graduation Toss".
As for the issue on the audio. Some of the "official" "live" videos are actually studio audio over the live video. I.e. Gimme Chocolate and Papaya official.
Su graduated in March of 2013, Yui and Moa in March of 2015, and Momoko in March of 2018.
It's a little confusing since Su's final Nendo (school period) was the 2012 one, but graduation wasn't until March of the next year.
Same thing with Yui and Moa and with Momoko.

As much as they girls deserve all the props in the world, Anthony Barone - their drummer - is like one of the best live touring drummers right now. And he's fucking 24, I couldn't believe that when I found out. He's doing all this shit perfectly live, and was barely drinking last time I saw them before this, and he's now one of my favorites now. I've been playing drums as long as he's been alive, and he smokes me no question.
They're having a blast out there, and Babymetal is the best ticket in music right now.

Barone is just a beast. The amazing part is that he can play even faster if he needs to. To me, I’m a fan of all members of the Kami Band. Be it the Japanese members or the Western Kami members. In the end, they are all amazing world-class musicians.
This is a live compilation and it's using the footage and sound from two shows (BabyMetal Returns and BabyMetal Begins), one with the Eastern Kami Band and the other one with the Western Kami Band, the middle section when SuMetal is talking to the crowd is clearly from BM Begins at PIA Arena MM with the Western Kami Band.🦊🤘🌈

Think they're using drones now as well as the cranes. This was filmed for a BluRay release (which they make a ton of money on). Agree the filming is top notch. They had a massive tech area for the two nights of these shows (20+ techs?)!
in addition to the stationary cameras,there were drone cameras used to shoot this. that's where you get those amazing flying over the crowd shots. very cool used of that technology.
The stages move, and may need to be reconfigured between songs. The girls also may need hydration and catch their breaths. So, there are long intros sometimes.

1). Majority of the live pro-shot videos will indicate under their description where the video / audio source came from. In this video, both Audio and Video is compilation from Babymetal Returns Concerts (1/28/23 & 1/29/23 concerts), and Babymetal Begins Concerts (Clear Night only 4/2/23, as Black Night concert 4/1/23 did not feature Monochrome).
2). Babymetal "Official Live" videos from their youtube is always live video + studio audio.
On Momoko:
Momoko joined as an avenger (non official member) in 2019, and as mentioned above, became the 3rd official member on April 1st 2023. So, yea, longest ever temp to hire job hahaha. Go Momo! At end of Babymetal Begins Black Night Concert (4/1/23), she was officially introduced as the 3rd member of Babymetal. Prior to this, she was an "avenger", 1 of 3 back up dancers (no mic) rotating in to the 3rd spot previously belonging to Yui (left in 2018 due to health). From this point forth, Momoko has a mic, and Babymetal's costume changed slightly to reflect their "rebirth".
Note: if you look closely, you can see shots of Momo without a Mic, and shots of her with a Mic, w/o mic is January's Babymetal Returns concert, with mic is April Babymetal Begins Clear Night concert.
On Sakura Gakuin:
J-Pop Idol school for young girls (8 - 12 members, 10 - 15 years old), themed around school life. Su, Moa, and Yui were original members in 2010. They were part of the "heavy music club" which became Babymetal, then continued as their own act due to rising popularity. Su graduated in 2013, Yui / Moa in 2015, Momoko transferred in after, and alwyas looked up to Babymetal and wanted to join them.

This was an extremely special moment for the ladies, after 5 years of uncertainty and being off balance with Moa having to shoulder so much more of the workload, as a group they were whole for the first time in 5 years!

Edit:when I heard that Momo becoming the new member was officially announced I cried a bit. That's how good a job this band does with making their fans feel connected.

You guys need to remember Babymetal is a manufactured group. And they have different " acts " GJ was originally known as Black Babymetal for Moa and Yui, now succeeded by Momo But without Yui moa goes solo but still with the intention of giving Sue a rest. As Sue does in her Solo's giving Moa and Momo their well needed rests.😊
As @Killem911 was saying Sakura Gakuin was an idol group school that all 4 Babymetal members were a part of. Su, Moa, Yui, and Momo were all part of that school which trained girls what it took to be idols and trained and prepped them to become idols pretty much. One of the teachers at that school saw Su-Metal singing when she was 8 I believe (I might be wrong, in which case Jake Muller or Grington300 will correct me I'm still the student and they are the masters lol), and saw, even at that age, that she had way too much stage presence and her voice was much too powerful to be used only for JPop. It was HIS idea to fuse JPop with Metal as he was a metalhead and knew the metal scene was pretty much dead in Japan and needed a jumpstart, so he wanted to create this JPop/metal fusion in the hopes it would jumpstart the metal scene in Japan again. Needless to say it did more than that. So he got permission from his bosses to try this experiment, and while they allowed him his "little" experiment, they were pretty sure it was going to be a disaster so they said they would allow it, but he'd be getting no funding for it. So he grabbed Su, and then grabbed Moa and Yui since he thought they both looked alike enough AND they had the Kawaii look and personalities that he wanted to integrate into his experiment.
Before this all happened, Yui, Moa, and Su had never heard of, nor heard Metal music before, so when they heard it and saw it for the first time they found it scary and intimidating, but he convinced them to give it a shot and eventually they came to not only appreciate it, but enjoy it. I'm not too sure how Momo fits into this story. Not too sure when she saw Babymetal and decided THAT was what she wanted to become a part of, but I'm super happy she got her wish.
Lastly, I'm not sure you're aware, but there is a new Babymetal song that JUST released like yesterday that is a collab with Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine. The song is called Metali and it is awesome. You should react to that as it's a very fast-moving song that is very fun, and Su really gets to stretch her vocals. She even has an almost aggressive sound to her voice in parts of the song which is VERY unusual, but amazing!

FYI , the kami drummer (east band) is female, and so is the lead guitar; both are in the top 10 in the world.

The drumer in the Asian Tour plays more freely and I do feel more dynamics than this video version.
Finally I found a channel where there are reactions to BM with feedback, not just a guy sitting and making stupid faces. I'm surprised you haven't reacted to Babymetal's famous "Death" yet. Must watch. :) Also BxMxC due to how different it is is worth watching. "The One" is beautiful, "line!" is very weird but interesting and then there is also a "Doki Doki Morning" which is childish and funny. You have a lot of things to see from those girls, but I believe "Death" is the most interesting of the ones that you haven't tried yet because Death is a performance, and has an interesting backstory too. :D If you watch Death, first read about it to know what is happening. Also a song that they recorded with BMTH was a banger.
Moa is also known as the Angel of Love. She showed it again. Su asked if they can see what she is seeing and they get closer to her. Moa puts an arm around Su and shortly notices something is missing. She looks for Momoko immediately to make sure she joins them even more so. That is Moa. All heart. 🤘🦊🤘

Also meiner Meinung nach haben Babymetal den besten Drummer der Neuzeit und wie alles gemischt ist, höchste Präzision, die Gitarren der Sound, man könnte echt meinen das Lied ist im Studio aufgenommen und bearbeitet, aber das ist voll Live und Hut ab vor der Perfomance, einfach nur Hammer, mehr braucht man dazu denke ich nicht sagen :)

This was from the great compilation video master Kurokiitsunesama. You cannot go wrong with compilations from his channel as they are mostly safe because he uses LIVE audio from one concert edited in with multiple concerts to fool the algorithm and help prevent blocking.
This particular video was taken from at least two concerts Makuhari Messe Arena Tokyo and PIA Arena Yokohama.
