After a friend was kicked out of her house, Jo Lee (they/them) was deeply moved by the epidemic of LGBTQ+ youth homelessness. Jo Lee's mom welcomed their friend into their home. After that experience, Jo Lee figured if there was ever a time to come out, it was then. It's been a long journey, but now, Jo Lee says, "I had to cast away 20 years of who I thought I was supposed to be. I found my confidence."
