I had lovocs twice a day for 4 months. Took that long to get my INR regular. Those shots suck. They burn like acid, and if you rub where you injected yourself. You bruise big time.

I'm on the drug because of Atrial Fibrillation following repair of my mitral valve. I'm hopeful that eventually the afib can be controlled via medicine. At the moment, I'm in and out of sinus rhythm while taking metoprolol. It's scary, knowing the drugs possible side effects, but so far I haven't had any bleeding problems. Small cuts do take a little longer to stop bleeding, but a septic pencil works for those. I haven't had any discoloration of urine or stools, or bruising. My Dr. has ordered a self test machine for me so I won't have to be tested in the office every few weeks. This is a good idea today with the current pandemic, plus it makes keeping your INR level correct easier. About the only thing I've cut out of my diet is Kale, which isn't something I've had often anyway. I also now avoid spinach. I asked about beer, and was told to limit consumption to 2 a day (!). Since I rarely have more than 2 a week, I guess I'm under the radar on that! (1 12-16 oz beer = 1 glass of wine = 1 shot of whisky BTW).

Hi Jerome, Unfortunately, because each person’s medical situation is different, we are unable to provide treatment recommendations or second opinions via this form of communication. For any specific questions about your diet, we recommend reaching out to your doctor.
It's Vitamin K you need to look out for. Vitamin K is what allows the blood to clot. It can interfere with Warfarin. The best thing to do is Just to keep your diet the same.
Generally speaking, you should be ok to have a couple as long as you don't get yourself Pissed. That could fuck up your INR. But every case is different, so ask your doctor.
