Amazing thank you!! I had the same epiphany recently and have been reorganizing my house! I highly recommend searching for ADHD friendly organizing for more inpso. It not only helps the neurodiverse, it just masks so much sense. One small but big change I made was bins with no lids. The rubbish now ends up in the bin, ever time!! Haha I personally use bins with flip lids that can stand up or down so i can quickly close when guests come over. Oh boy, it’s so nice not having toilet rolls all over the floor or tissues pilled on top of the bins lol xo
I love how your videos are short and get straight to the point....but even if they were longer, I'd still be here for it because they help me out ALOT 🙂

OMG, Brittany, You totally nailed this one!!! Every time I go to pick up, it takes me days…. I tend to let things get really out of control, so piles of laundry, anytime I receive anything online & I’m not sure what I’m doing with it yet, it ends up randomly around somewhere. Everything I use to get ready am & pm are spread (& sometime spilled) absolutely everywhere! I keep trying to figure how to find an easy way to pick up after myself in the am, put things back where they go, this is never going to happen! I’m also queen of over stuffing and the too complicated & too many steps girl. And bc I have ADHD, one major thing I struggle with is if I can’t see it, it ceases to exist. Multiple times I’ve bought something I already own from Amazon. I just received a pair of sandals I love. Still not realizing I already own the exact same pair. It wasn’t until I was digging in my under the bed summer storage & found the same pair, I realized this. On a positive note, I definitely have a consistent style of things I love! And Pinterest in wonderful & evil. I have so many pictures of how I want to decorate… then I spend all my time trying to match the picture. In the meantime, if I ever actually finish, I end up living with stuff just laying around!
Great video and advice! I found that my life changed once I realized I was a visual organizer and I liked micro organization. Meaning, I like to see most of my things and I like to have them in individual categories. For me it’s really important to be able to find something quickly. I will take the time to put it away, but I don’t want to spend time looking for it. Also all my containers or clear so I can see things in them. I also LOVE to label the crap out of everything!
Great ideas! My big hoarding problem is sentimental things. I've had so many family pass away & so much loss, that I hold on to things & it's so hard to let go. I also have a hard time getting rid of things that someone specifically got for me. I feel like they thought of me & got this for me so it would be rude to get rid of it.
The BEST and most practical advice I got from you is ONE TOUCH or (First Touch?) Policy at home. If you need to use an item and once you're done, put it back right where you found it. No excuses. It is genius.
My biggest revelation was if you want to clean less you need to have less to clean. For instance I use one set of bedsheets now. Everything else is vacuum seal stored. I would use different sheets every week, but not wash the used ones every week, and then end up with a large pile of dirty sheets to wash at the end of the month and feeling completely overwhelmed.

Now, I am going through my adult children's files of what they saved from school to see if I can scan some things and discard others. They went through those items twice to purge their own sentimental items while they still lived at home. I'm trying to purge, purge, purge! At 63, it is an important task, especially when you've lived in the same home for 25 years. The systems I put in and redid were helpful with the clutter of raising kids.
#1 SO true! It took me so long to realize we have to customize our way of organizing. Some things may not make sense to other people but to US it does.
Your suggestion that if something was going to take a minute or less to do then do it has been great. No more jackets on bed or chairs, laundry away as it’s folded. Excellent idea. ❤
I always have to watch a motivational video to really want to Clean. Sometimes I hear your voice in my head though when I put something down instead of putting it away.

I have such a hard time finding homes for things and have no idea how to fix it. I go through things and declutter but then things end up in piles. No matter what I do I have no idea where to put things to keep. Wish you lived close to me lol. I am disabled and am in pain constantly so I'm not able to clean as much as I want and can't find light enough vacuums that aren't so expensive. I'm on a dollar tree budget. I also take care of my dad who has Stage 4 COPD and by the time I get home from helping him I have no energy left to do anything at my house except dishes. I'm a whole mess in and half. But every video I watch of yours I find things very helpful. Especially your female ones because my mom didn't teach me anything about well. Anything. I only seen her on holidays. Sorry I'm just ranting at this point.

I have a 100 empty baskets, containers, jars, and cute hooks I’m constantly trying to figure out what to fill with. My thinking is I should use them to decorate with, like filled with cute blankets, or pillows, kinda like you always see on Pinterest 😉 instead of using functionally. Taking your advice, the first thing I’m going to do is put a few baskets under my sink. Thinking about my natural instinct is to hang things up, not on hangers :) but on hooks next to where I’m using things. I keep fighting this bc I don’t know if they’ll look good. But the hooks are so cute so Im finally going to put my hooks to use!! I really got a ton out of your videos today!! My next step is to clear out a drawer so I have that space to throw random things in. And I’m going to use try to use a basket to throw those Amazon orders in until I decide what I’m doing with them. Brittany you are correct. We are always evolving. As I get older I realize the need for a wedge type heel instead of a high heel. Gifted my sister and daughter shoes. I have always been easy on my shoes and taken great care so they look like new. I use your method of donate. Keep a large bag in the closet when I see a top or pants I haven't worn in the bag it goes. Frees up space. Thank you Brittany. Take care of yourself and have a great week.

We have a metal front door. Heavy duty magnetic hooks hold our car keys on the front door. Shoe Cubby's at the entry. We never lose our keys anymore because we just put them right on the hooks as we get home. A bowl for hubby's pocket mess so he can just empty when he gets home and takes off his work boots.

My house is always a mess because I have 2 tiny tornadoes called kids 😂 My little sister's nickname growing up was tornado, ironically my daughter is named after her and she's exactly the same!
Any shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body wash, buy universal pump dispensers rather than have bottles you have to open and turn upside down to use. Obviously you just take them off and use them again when the bottle is empty. You don't need to buy fancy pump bottles to decant into, you just need the pump.
Honestly my biggest problem is laundry but only because I don't use my wardrobe Just does not work for me I live out of my dryer It drives my mom crazy but when I am honest I don't mind. It's a "problem"
Commit yourself to the Lord and your thoughts He will establish In the last 3 days , 10 different times either be sight or through someone this vs has been the theme of God showing me how to consistently keep a Holy atmosphere in my mind by me choosing and deciding what thoughts I allow to stay in my mind!! Scripture talks about taking every thought not of God captive! The opposite must also be true, some thoughts you have to let run free! This is how we develop a holy atmosphere in our minds! Whatever thoughts are pure,of good report, heavenly,of love ,meditate on these and the God of peace will be with you ! When it says the God of Peace will be with you, where at? Well the context of that scripture is talking about your mind! So in essence God is saying that his presence will dwell in our minds and this is determined by what thoughts we let run( meditate on) in our minds !!
