YES- children CAN put away their own laundry (at a certain age). My mom gave us chores (sweeping, put away laundry, folding towels, dusting) when we were kids. It actually made us feel "part of the team" and appreciate my mom as a person. Kids need and want to help.
My son has been doing his own laundry since he was 4. He washes and dries (I set a timer in between). I fold and he puts it away. He is now 6 and requires no help with this. Soon I will be getting him to fold his clothes too.
i need to tell you that you’ve gotten me into the habit of taking something that doesn’t belong with you when you leave a room. i do this MULTIPLE times a day. i’ve been able to keep my bedroom clean for over 3 months and im not kidding, as an adult that’s the longest i’ve gone without having to take hours to clean it. thank you!!
Sanitary reasons - spoons and forks should face DOWN in the dishwasher. Especially if you are cleaning a clients house, because removing them you don't have to put hour hands on the part that does in mouth.
I bought the child-sized broom and dustpan that came as a set at the Dollar Tree for my 7 yo grandson. After eating it was his responsibility to sweep under his chair and under his part of the table. He's worked up to sweeping their whole (small) kitchen! He also washes & dries his own laundry, then sorts it into the cloth cubes that slide into the cubicle cubbies (not sure what that's called.)
It's your voice. There are many cleaning hack videos out there, but you have the nicest tone and tempo to your voice. I just get pumped to clean-up! Thanks for sharing all of your great ideas!
🫧I have mild ocd & generalised anxiety & I can’t tell you enough how helpful your cleaning hacks / tips & tricks videos have been in helping me maintain my home & therefore keep my anxiety at bay. Been following for years & you always have new tips to suggest. Very kind of you to do this competition, good luck everyone! 🫧
🥰🥰🥰 even me, at 71 years young, I always learn something new when I watch your videos. Thank you Brittany and I hope life is going well for you now...🙏
🫧🫧Hi Brittany, I read that it's better if you place the forks in the dishwasher, upside-down, for safety and no spots on the handles. Same for the knives.
My grandmother taught me that decades ago. She would reward me after a week of doing it with peas in the pod. Assuming it was spring. I don't remember what she used otherwise. She also had signs all over the house, don't put it down put it away.
🫧love all these hacks so much! Especially the laundry one, I always pressure myself to have everything so “organized” that forget the simple things can make a huge difference
Girl- this summer has been tough for me to keep up with everything like I normally would! Some cleaning inspo on this rainy afternoon was exactly what I needed! ❤ Thank you!
I use those baskets for my underwear, socks and bathing suits so everything stays organized. I am definitely going to check out the mop vacuum. With hard floors, I need one! 😊
I love your tip about putting the organization system in the spot where the mess accumulates. Follow the mess! This is such a great tip for people with ADHD which I have and I believe you have mentioned that you also have this condition. I thought of this on my own a while back with my laundry and putting the laundry baskets in multiple places. I also did the same thing with garbage cans! I increase the number and decrease the size. it also keeps your house smelling fresher when you don’t have a huge bag of garbage sitting there
🫧 I appreciated all these hacks. Having the kids fold their own laundry is such a pain! I so needed these quick & simple cleaning hacks as it's hard to stay on top of things with kids. Thank you ❤
Oh my gosh! Those utensil compartment hacks are brilliant. Not only does it save the stooping when emptying and loading, but it also shows you that you don't always need to run it through right away. That makes room for another dish, which I always seem to have scramble/rearrange to find room for. Thanks Brittany!! 🫧
Idk why I had no idea a mop vacuum existed but seems life changing! Fingers crossed it goes on sale during prime day because I need that in my life. I realized I don't have the bubble emoji.
I have been following these cleaning rules all of my life, but I still watch all of You wonderful Women on YT to remind myself of the importance of Self Care and Love of keeping a Beautiful Home for Our Children. Mom used to get a little ‘funny irritated’ because every few weeks back in the 80’s she would come home from her night job and trip over something because I was always rearranging my bedroom..🫧 You are an inspiration to Us All and I’m so happy to see that You are still Growing Strong..❤
the children and you can also put your own socks in your own separate laundry bags and wash them in it, so you can pour them directly into the basket when they come out of the dryer.😃
I just love those stone soap trays. Goodbye goop! I am in Canada so some of the products you recommend are not available here but every one I have found and purchased are great. Thank you
These are all great tips! I use some of them already, but some are new to me! I have my eye on that mopvac, it is pricey, but hoping to get it eventually! 😊
⭐️ Thanks for the cleaning ideas. I just stumbled across your channel and so glad I did. I had gave up dishwasher washing my silverware. I am so trying the tinfoil hack 😊❤
Today is my first time watching your channel. I loved all the tricks. I like the way you say it fast and to the point and move on to the next advice!! I am looking for advice on how to organize my pot lids and my food storage containers Fran
I like the tips on following your own clutter and making a organized solution for that area . It never occurred to me to me to do that . Thanks for all the amazing tips 😊!
Been doing the no-fold system for our kids clothes for years and still so happy with it! The kids do their OWN laundry. Also, we do all black socks in a bin by the door. All exactly the same, all one size that fits my 3 kids AND me! It’s magical! The Tineco mop vac is also amazing 🎉
🫧I love the foil in the dishwasher trick to polish the silverware, and the boiling of vinegar to remove odors. I love these videos Brittany. You always teach me something new. 🫧
Hi Brittany I watched video twice but didnt see the one with the white powder and vinegar in the sink. 🤔🤔 I must try the fruit fly trap, will it catch the big fly too? I really appreciate your tios/tricks. That mop would do me good😊
🫧 Tysm for this video! I’ve been in a cleaning rut lately, but this was inspiring! I am dumbfounded by the idea of just keeping the dishwasher utensil container in the sink to refill. Pure genius. Mine is a long horizontal one, and won’t fit in my sink, but I still love the idea!
🫧 I love this! I really liked the tip about putting the systems where the clutter is. Also, I’ve been taking the silverware rack to put the silverware away, but never thought about pulling it out and putting it by the sink to load it. Genius! 🫧
🫧 love the idea of bathroom microcleaning! I've got 2 kids under 4 so it cam be impossible to have a big chunk of time spare to clean the bathroom so this makes sense xx

My kids did their own laundry starting at 8 years old.
Love your ideas, thank you!
Love the foil trick in the dishwasher. Glad to see you back to your happy and beautiful self. Time does heal . Great job!
Definitely like the idea of boiling vinegar for odors! If you clean out your hot water kettle with vinegar, it’s like a two for one! 🫧🫧🧼
Today is my first time seeing you. I very much appreciate that you get to the point and don't waste my time. Very good hacks thank you.

🫧🫧Hi Brittany, I read that it's better if you place the forks in the dishwasher, upside-down, for safety and no spots on the handles. Same for the knives.
🫧 Whoa whoa whoa....you're telling me I've been folding my kids' laundry like a fool for 9 years??? I think this is my favorite hack of all time 🤩
She must have put this in a video 6 years ago and I never started folding kids clothes haha love it
Wouldn't kids clothes get wrinkled just thrown on top of each other?
I have 3 kids and mine are fine!
The utensil holder in the sink is genius!
This is so genius. I screamed and immediately went to put it in the sink.
Hmm common sense
Been watching 🫧 you for ~8 years, Brittany! Keep it up, you’re killing it!! ♥️
🫧 i still use the phrase "don't put it down, put it away" that you taught me 😂 love ya!
Same!! 😂
My grandmother taught me that decades ago. She would reward me after a week of doing it with peas in the pod. Assuming it was spring. I don't remember what she used otherwise. She also had signs all over the house, don't put it down put it away.

There are baskets made to put on your stairs to collect items. They actually fit the pattern of the stairs and are great to corral all the “stuff”!
