YES- children CAN put away their own laundry (at a certain age). My mom gave us chores (sweeping, put away laundry, folding towels, dusting) when we were kids. It actually made us feel "part of the team" and appreciate my mom as a person. Kids need and want to help.
My son has been doing his own laundry since he was 4. He washes and dries (I set a timer in between). I fold and he puts it away. He is now 6 and requires no help with this. Soon I will be getting him to fold his clothes too.
i need to tell you that you’ve gotten me into the habit of taking something that doesn’t belong with you when you leave a room. i do this MULTIPLE times a day. i’ve been able to keep my bedroom clean for over 3 months and im not kidding, as an adult that’s the longest i’ve gone without having to take hours to clean it. thank you!!
Sanitary reasons - spoons and forks should face DOWN in the dishwasher. Especially if you are cleaning a clients house, because removing them you don't have to put hour hands on the part that does in mouth.
I bought the child-sized broom and dustpan that came as a set at the Dollar Tree for my 7 yo grandson. After eating it was his responsibility to sweep under his chair and under his part of the table. He's worked up to sweeping their whole (small) kitchen! He also washes & dries his own laundry, then sorts it into the cloth cubes that slide into the cubicle cubbies (not sure what that's called.)

Been doing the no-fold system for our kids clothes for years and still so happy with it! The kids do their OWN laundry. Also, we do all black socks in a bin by the door. All exactly the same, all one size that fits my 3 kids AND me! It’s magical! The Tineco mop vac is also amazing 🎉

I love your tip about putting the organization system in the spot where the mess accumulates. Follow the mess! This is such a great tip for people with ADHD which I have and I believe you have mentioned that you also have this condition. I thought of this on my own a while back with my laundry and putting the laundry baskets in multiple places. I also did the same thing with garbage cans! I increase the number and decrease the size. it also keeps your house smelling fresher when you don’t have a huge bag of garbage sitting there

Oh my gosh! Those utensil compartment hacks are brilliant. Not only does it save the stooping when emptying and loading, but it also shows you that you don't always need to run it through right away. My cordless stick vacuum broke around when you bought your mop vac and you inspired a total shift in my floor maintenance. My house is mostly carpet, kitchen and bathroom hard floor of course. The stick vacuum just wasn’t doing a deep enough job on the carpet, either, and I didn’t want to pay a million dollars for something that would probably break after a few years anyway. So!! I got a heavy duty plug in dedicated upright vacuum for all my carpet (it’s an Orek, highly recommend), the mop vac for my kitchen, and!!! a Black&Decker floor sweeper (like if a cordless stick vacuum was downgraded to just a twirling brush head and a dust bin) which I use to pick up all the crumbs etc in the kitchen between moppings. I’ve had my mopvac nearly as long as you’ve had yours and I love it!!
Does the mop vac leave the floor damp or wet? Engineered wood can’t be that wet or it starts to warp over time. But the mop vac sounds amazing and I would like to try it.
@@franrogers946 no it vacuums the water back up as it goes, I’ve used it as a wet vacuum to pick up big milk spills in my kitchen before as well. It does not leave it perfectly dry of course but there is very little moisture left remaining
