    Amazing old footage Trevor. Loved that class 50 with the freight wagons. Not a usual sight at all I don't think. Very enjoyable viewing. Cheers - Allan.

      +Steve Lewis Video Channel. Hasn't changed too much except you don't get the selection of engines like you did in the good old days Steve.Slight sound problem due to a bad video tape but it came out okay.Have a bit more footage of York about that time including A4 Mallard and diesels at York North Yard.Glad you liked this.......Trevor.''

    It doesn't change.....apart from the traction ! I proposed to my wife on the beach down from the ice cream hut that summer ,wrote it in the sand ,she expected,and then we watched trains lol
    The building on the front with the two turrets ,which then was a fish restaurant,was my mother and fathers wedding reception venue,and the church which is also in the film on the hill(Exeter road) the place of the wedding .
    Nice one Trevor ! ....Andy

      +andybyrne50 Nice that Andy and i am glad it brought back some memories.The place with the turrets was a restaurant when we were there and we had a few meals there at different times.a foreign family owned it i think but can't remember what they called it.Nice place to propose to your wife near a railway line...Cheers for looking...Trevor.''

      +Trevor Ledgeway it's called oceans now,and it's a b&b come restaurant . Dawlish has been a massive part of my life ,and I've seen some things happen over the years..way too many lol The old lookout post on top of the kennaway tunnel had the Dawlish home guards during ww2 in which my grandfather spent many a night on lookout. Dad worked the railway,mum was a singer /entertainer . Thanks for your wonderful films Trevor,I wish I could have filmed a bit more ! Just about to give the museum in Dawlish some photos of my mum in her entertaining day's at the hut theatre, which is where the car park is now by the museum. Cheers,Andy

    Magic stuff....everyday trains that were largely ignored back then would draw a crowd now!....apart from maybe the bouncybusses!

    What's with the loco numbers on the brickwork?

    • @TrevorLedgeway
      @TrevorLedgeway  8 років тому

      +gyrovague They have been on and still on that tunnel front since before 1986 to when i first went down there.The numbers are of two Class 45s-46s that were nicknamed peaks.....''
