This is THE BEST series ever. Why? REAL LIFE. Not just quick video clips but real time training with a real new puppy. It’s like reality tv on puppy training. I love those moments when it’s just not perfect and you just gotta go with the flow. When I watch edited videos where it seems like the puppy listened in 5 mins it just doesn’t seem realistic. Zak did one video where he had the treat in his closed fist, which forced the bitey dog to start licking for the treat instead of biting/grabbing for it. While he slowly let the dog have the treat, he would repeat "Gentle" in a calm voice. I don't know if you can find the video, but I found it very helpful.
I am in week 20 with a very big boy who was a terrible biter. No aggressive biting, puppy chewing but his teeth are like razors and my arms were sliced to ribbons. The key is to walk away...even shut a door to get away. Leave him alone for even a minute. Being cut off from you is the biggest "punishment" for being bad. Mine learned very fast. You have to have zero tolerance for biting on you. Walk away. When he plays nice, dish out the rewards. He will learn fast thst biting you means no attention, biting the toy is good. Mine is a German mix too so I really understand.

This series has been really good for me because I am getting an Assiedoodle in 2 weeks!!!!!
Cool! Good luck😃
Gosh your plugs to your books are so smooth XD
My family are getting our first ever puppy tomorrow and we’re all nervous, but your videos and books are very reassuring and so helpful with what to expect and all the tools we need and things - thank you so much ! Can’t wait to see more of your cute crazy furball in the future
I would love it if you would make a daily puppy routine video!
I love this series so much
Wow perfect timing, I got my puppy a week ago and he's been doing so well but now that he's settled in the biting has started to get really intense!! Thanks for the tips!
Binging this series now after watching how great Inertia turned out to be in the Alaska episode. She was so much more of a handful as a puppy than Kona, so I'm glad you were able to document all of this! I think overcoming the challenges together definitely gave you guys a much stronger bond in the end! She's so smart and feisty haha 😆. Love this girl! 💕
Loving this series. I just got Amy furbaby. She’s a 2 month American Eskimo. She’s the sweetest thing. We’re learning an lots.
This series is so helpful to me because in seven weeks I get my Border Aussie so I can watch all of the videos to prepare!
I love your videos! I love to see the new milestones she is hitting! She is so cute and smart. I was wondering if you make a video about how to balance a career and a puppy/dog. Keep up the great work.
These videos you put out are amazingly helpful!! I've been wanting a dog for well over a year and have been watching many of your training videos in preparation of the inevitable day. Just got a 2 month old blue heeler mix yesterday. Even though I haven't worked with him for long, I can already tell he's responding very well to the training I've learned to give him!
Inertia is so adorable ♥️ your videos help a lot because I just got a puppy too. Thanks!
Picked up my 8 week old standard poodle this past weekend.... Wow.. Just wow. You make this look insanely easy but the series has been super helpful.
I've been binging these and it's honestly crazy how fast they grow. My dog is 6 and a half now so it's been awhile since puppy training. Not that the training ever ends haha
I am really loving the series
Now I know I can watch these series forever
I am getting my puppy (American Cocker Spaniel) in 2 weeks (AUG 20th) and I am SO grateful for your new series holy!! I've been watching it thoroughly since the first episode and I'm feeling a LOT less nervous about bringing her home ! Thank you so much Zak!!!!
I just bought all his books and already started using his training with my eighteen months old Aussie and it’s already working!!
Inertia is the best! Love this series so much!
I am going to have to binge watch your videos, we are picking up our beagle puppy today😀 Thank you for these very informative videos 😀
I am now in love with Inertia!
Also, observe Zak's big body language, varied intonation, and constantly happy state; I'm pretty sure HE's at least part dog! :-D
These videos are so extremely helpful with bringing home a new puppy!
Zak, I recently got a collie puppy, well two weeks ago now. She is 10 weeks now, I really appreciate these videos as we both of us got a puppy around the same time so these tips are really helpful. Thank you
