That is cool what if the resin was already gelling? I know resin can go from gell to cured extremely fast but when it's thick enough to slow that explosion. That would be so awesome. 😅

Interesting video. Yeah, I know I was preparing for some projects in bullet time animation dynamics yesterday. What you could also do is a comet out front and these glass particles following behind as the comet breaks apart in the atmosphere. It's just an interesting idea. Nice video.

Could the temperature of the water be affecting it? Maybe try boiling vs iced water

I think the catch vessel is too shallow, and the drop bounces around on the bottom before its cooled, then the tail breaks and the whole thing comes apart like a normal glass drop, bouncing itself to bits on the bottom
