Just watched this. We walked the Portuguese the week after you two. We were so paranoid about the rain we packed the pack cover that tucked into the bottom of the Osprey and the Altos ponchos. We actually both had ordered the S/M and the M/L. We carried the S/M. We both are under 5'4". We had one day of rain on our last day of walking into Santiago and then the day we flew home was a deluge. I was hot in mine when it was hot, but then when the weather turned cold, I froze from the sweat. I think perfection would be this poncho with pit zips. Thank you always for your great videos.
@@sisters2santiago yes. definitely. Not sure if I am ready for the Frances. Lost my both big toes nails this last time wearing two pairs of socks with injinji and Darn tough with Vaseline in half size larger Topos. Not sure why or how, but it started on the coast along the beach, walking in those dunes, oh, I mean boardwalks. So once I figure out shoes, I will plan my next one. Thinking Norto looks interesting.
I liked my poncho but did need to wear my baseball hat to keep the hood so I could see. Glad AnnMarie’s cough seems to be gone. You 2 Sisters are great!
Just finished CF March and April. Cold! Used regular liner gloves with vinyl cheap first aid gloves over them. Kept hands warm and dry and cheap and light weight. For rain Altus was best by far.
Please clarify that it is Altus not “Atlas” poncho. More of a raincoat with built in pack cover. Been wearing one for 10 years and love it. I use my UV umbrella for rain when in town after walking 👍 thanks for sharing

Thank you for watching. I realized after I posted I kept saying it wrong. It is a great addition to a pack for sure! As is the umbrella!
