Great blog as usual. Not punk but did you know my fave group jethro tull started life in Blackpool. The early members met at the grammar school. Ian Anderson the flute guy was born in Scotland but moved there as a child might be worth a blog id watch it anyway.
My friend used to love jethro Tull. Always made me listen to them.
A friend of mine managed to walk into a gig of theirs in Manchester a few years ago even though we were there for something else. I went to see another gig which was already booked.
Those punks have mellowed over the years. They don't cause a bit of trouble.
We never did,it was always the government's who caused all the trouble back in the day and they are still doing it now in 2023,take care and be safe always.

That is what I was thinking. Tram drivers are always on alert for kids & people veering onto the tracks, but the motorbike riders are not.

Geez I used to live in Blackpool in 70s I attended Saint Johns primary school. Lived on Livingston road/avenue. They were building a high complex by old Woolworths opposite central pier. 1973 I watched central pier burn. The heat from it burning could be felt on prom

To make an intervention, there has to be a reason for it imho. This one seems like someone thought it was a good idea. As an architect, I would have come up with a better idea that related to the area.

thats where i was on our pub crawl this year i was there about this time last month at the the mitre and then shenanigans and in shenanigans i sang a song n gave ma dad the free shot n he isnt a shot man the poor old sod my dad is hahaha but yea was good this year not soo good at the williamhill bookies behind coral island but hey hoo our last wee drink on the end of our crawl was well 1st we got the tram back to the pleasure beech as it was the travel lodge next to it we were in and the last 2 places we got a drink on our pub crawl was the velvet coaster wetherspoons closest to the pleasure beech then Our last drink the Hotel bang next to the pleasure beech which isnt the blue hotel it was the travel lodge so yea if u had been there at shenanigans a month earliar u would have seen me

Hello Stephen. My mother brought me to Blackpool from the north east on coach trips several years in a row in the late 50s and early 60s. I think that I actually visited a zoo in the tower building. can you confirm this or am I getting mixed up with somewhere else. Thanks in advance for any reply. keep up the great work with the videos I enjoy them all.

It always looks like winter in the UK, I remember living in the southern part of in the 90s and if it got to 80f people were dying. Very different from the Midwest US

I've narrowed my choices down to two cameras DJI pocket 2 or Osmo 4 the pocket gimbal appeals to me the creator combo gives you all you need
The Osmo 4 is waterproof batteries charge up in 1 hr faster frame rate you might of guessed I film trains so can be out in wet conditions
I like the fact pocket 2 is small so you don't stand out as much in public pros and cons for both need to make my mind up
Need to plan a visit to film the heritage trams to thanks again

i feel so sorry for blackpool, it will never be like it was, its in a slow down hill
funny...you showing harry ramsdens, and the greedy pig.....they sit on, what was formerly...THE TOWER LOUNGE!!...a huge, 1,000 seat bar, with live music, also a live vocalist organist, playing everthing from al jolson, to george formby, to classic pop songs from the sixties onwards....the tower lounge bar....had the LONGEST bar in europe...(it was huge)....complete with hundreds of tables, and a sprung dance floor....it was extremly popular, in the seventies, eighties, and nineties....sadly....the idiots, who run the tower complex, closed it down, in the noughties, to become what it is today....very short sighted by them.....blackpool...today...has hardly any family friendly bars, in the daytime, to cater for this need...instead...we are left....with night clubs...catering for the teenager/twenty year old bridgade!!!......
