Kolibri is a hummingbird shooter game created exclusively for the Sega 32X, a Sega Mega Drive/Genesis add-on console. It was designed by Ed Annunziata and developed by Novotrade (now known as Appaloosa). Kolibri is the word or root word for hummingbird in several European languages.

You know, having key information only in the manual was pretty common back in the day.
The remark was more for humor than anything.
That said, having no HUD or exposition still felt a bit odd. It just kind of drops you into the action.
Oh no the bird has gone mad!
I actually quite enjoy playing this game but then I play it on a handheld and use the save quite a lot! 😂

I believe it actually does say that in the manual too, I forgot to mention it though.
And yes! it's one of many chao lurking around the house.
It was amazing that you two were able to beat it, I enjoy the time it was streamed on twitch. Sad that it was impossible to even progress, from you struggling I would of never picked the game up. The visuals are great but thats it. If it was just the first level, it would of been an interesting educational video game.
I beat the game off stream, but at least 75% or so was played on the Twitch Channel.
It got really boring on the later half anyway.
But you're totally right, if they leaned in harder, I could totally see this as an "Edu-tainment" game.

Yeah, I don't think that most people did. While I love the cover art, it doesn't do a good job explaining what the game is other than Hummingbirds.
Plus the 32x just kind of came and went, I do wonder if something like the Sega Neptune happened, would it have stood a better shot?
I got to 04:35 when I recognized the music from Thunder Force 4. Subscribed.
Arguably one of the best soundtracks of all time.
Its the best Humming Bird based shooter for the 32X.
Truly, can’t ever be topped.
