I’m 28 my great grandmother and great grandfather moved their family here from Salisbury Missouri for the jobs, we been on the Northside ever since. She just passed this January at 92 I remember asking her how Omaha was a kid for a high school history project. This was dope to watch.
My father told me he didn’t know there was a downtown because he was only on 24th street as a kid. My earliest memories were St. Benedict and Bryant Center. And the hamburgers at Fair Deal cafe.
I love that my Great Grandfather was part of this documentary.
And I am ashamed that Agnes Loebeck is a distant relative of mine.
