Update to the video: after doing some quick re-tests, raising faith/intelligence does have a slight increase to the damage of the physical attack so it looks like there is some actual fire/magic benefit there. I'm not sure why I wasn't seeing any change when I first tested it. That being said, increasing strength & dexterity still has a much bigger impact to increasing the damage of these attacks.
An Alternative Talisman set up I found was the Rotten Wing Sword Ingnia + Milicents Prostests both talismans effects stack togeather I found and the Prostests Talisman adds a +5 to Dex so that bumps the BAB by a few points in general. If you REALLY love the AoW then Shard of Alexander combind with Relanas Cameo are fantastic and yes these 2 also stack giving you a +30% on your AoW attacks, Although the Cameo is really only good outside of Boos fights as Boss fights really dont give you 1 second to wind up ESPECALLY in the DLC. Alternativly You can use either the Twin headed Tutrle Talisman as these twin blades are a Stamina Hog Or The Godskin Swaddle Cloth to get some HP Back after 4 hits 3% of HP may not seem alot but if your Vigor is at 60 and your just blendering enemies this can save you on Crimson Flask consumption. But this is if you want to go Hyper Aggressive with Build if you want to go Defensive you'll have to choose between the AoW or Physical attacks and use the Dragoncrest Greatshield and Crimson Seed +1 or Bullgoat talismans For Wonderous Physics I use the Flame and Magic Crack Tears to boost up the AoW however Alternativly if you want to be pure Physical you can go with the Green Burst Tear for Stam Recovery and Thorny Crack tear to maximze melee damage. Alternativly Alternativly you can use the Stonebarb instead due to the Low Poise damage the Swords do but with this it makes up the Low Poise damage considering your wacking em 8-12 times a flurry. Ligit Critque of Light Greatswords. In comparison to straight swords, curve swords, katanas and Greatswords they seem to have Borked Posture Damage, that needs to be fixed abit in compariosn I can posture break most knights in 2-3 combos with Straight swords and Curve Swords VS 4-5 Combos with the Light Greatswords. And Rellanas Moon Blade need to shoot MUCH Further as Moonviel can shoot further as well as Hit Harder as Moonvale ALSO hits harder as well. And for Marikas sake Useing the AoW SHOULD Proc the Multi Hit Talismans!
@@smokybear4219 I wouldn't say they are great, but I just mean they do more than nothing. I use a new weapon in each playthrough and I wasn't impressed with them, but it wasn't a strugglebus
are you sure that the basic attacks only do physical damage? because even during your gameplay you hit the runebear with a basic attack and it caught fire, which is the same experience ive had attacking enemies with it. or is that just more visual flavour and it only does physical damage?
I just went back and did some quick re-tests. Raising faith/intelligence does have a slight increase to the damage of the physical attack so it looks like there is some actual fire/magic benefit there. I'm not sure what the deal is as I wasn't seeing any change when I first tested it. That being said, strength & dexterity still have a much bigger impact for increasing the damage of those attacks. Thanks for calling this out!

awesome, appreciate the comment and all the info!
These things really need a buff 💪 they do nothing against enemies on ng plus 4
I flew through NG7 with them, what?
@@PineapplePizzaBiS your literally the first person I've seen defending them most people agree they are severely underpowered

Yeah they do kinda suck. I’d rather use milady which is a shame cuz i think this weapon is so cool. Split scaling sucks
@@I.K.E.L.O.S they really are so dope I was really disappointed with them the milady is so so good though one of the coolest weapons In the dlc
