I find myself using using this table saw jig very often in my shop, and around my house for home projects, whether its leveling a workbench, cabinets, installing door frames, and i used them all the time with my jointing sled for my planner before owning a jointer. although you can buy shims for fairly cheap its not alway convenient going to the store to buy them when you find your self in the middle of a task that needs them. so i made this basic shim cutting jig for my table saw out of scrap wood that i had laying around.
How I use these shims for jointing lumber on my bench top planer

Thanks for keeping it short and sweet. I started watching another guy's video but he started telling his life story. Your vid was about perfect.

That’s great to hear. It can be a challenge at times to keep it short and sweet. I’m guilty of rambling on myself. 😂 Thanks for watching and commenting!👊🏻

@@brewbuilds In my opinion, that was perfect. All necessary info included. Not that I don't enjoy people's stories but sometimes when I visit UA-cam it's to get info fast and keep the project moving. You were clear and concise.

Great jig, covers all the safety issues, and is a pretty simple build. The only way to make it safer would be a large block at the back that would keep the blade buried during the entire motion. Ramon Valdez has plans for one that has a variable angle adjustment, and is a bit more complicated to build.
