Not even just the mansion. Could have set up Wesker, investigated the "cult" killings, had Bravo team respond and Alpha team go after them. Could have followed Rebecca Chambers through the train. Resident Evil 2 didn't need to exist in this movie at all.
The biggest issue I have with the movie is that it feels like it can't decided whether or not it wants to adapt the games or do its own thing. The points that are near shot-for-shot remakes of certain scenes in the games makes it feels like it wants to adapt, but all of the changes makes it feel like it wants to do its own thing I also didn't like the changes made to Leon and Wesker
Exactly. A lot of people are going to pull the "it's a movie, they're adapting" schtick but this movie is unique in that it is actually TRYING to be accurate to the source material, but then takes really weird detours from the source material, only to segue back into it being shot for shot. Literally the weirdest adaptation of source material I've ever seen lol

That actually makes alot of sense. I heard they are making a RE mini-series on Netflix. Not sure if they were still following through after this movie.
I think they ended it the way they did because they weren't certain if they were going to get a sequel or not. Wesker had to be the only character that really bugged me. He wasn't Wesker until he put on his shades to me. And with them race swapping Jill, they didn't really do much else. They Tokenized her for me when they tried to make it an "inclusive thing" Jill is one of my favorites and she doesn't really do anything but follow Wesker. The recreation of the locations; Gorgeous. The zombies, Absolutely terrifying. There were kids for some reason in my theater that actually started crying at those scenes. They adapted the source material in pure MCU fashion of the early days of the franchise before they disengaged and made their own universe. I feel like that's what's going to happen here.

I have to agree. I can’t think of too many video game adaptions that are better other than MK 95 and MK 21. They took alot of “Hollywood liberties” that threw it off but it’s rewatchable from a horror POV.
Honestly, I think the first W.S. Anderson Resident Evil movie was more entertaining than this one. No, it didn’t follow the original lore as much, but at least there were some fun scenes. This new RE film just bored the hell out of me.
Bless Bi3rdmna’s heart, but this movie is total shit. I understand he’s trying to convince himself to look at it from a different perspective RE fans have been taking L’s for some years now. This movie misses nearly all cylinders the costumes, story, CGI, actors, writing.
They definitely got the costumes right. That's one thing I'll give them. They look straight out of RE1 and RE2 Remake. Wish Claire's hair was in a ponytail more often than it was (this seems to be a trend with Claire's actors. Ali Larter almost never had her hair in a ponytail either).
Agrees with your description of how they placed an emphasis on the horror side of RE. The last like 3/4 RE movies have basically been action with a touch of horror (Matrix with a bunch of zombies).
There were *TWO* major things about this movie that kind of ruined it for me. *(1)* They *BUTCHERED* William Birkin's monster design. I mean they did him *DIRTY!!!* Birkin was hand's down one of *THE* coolest looking monsters from the games and they just absolutely *DESTROYED* his design to an unforgivable degree. From the way they shrunk the eyeball on his arm to the way they just got rid of his extra limbs. I understand that they couldn't fit all 5 stages, but damn, they could've at least had 3 and at least portrayed them accurately. *(2)* The complete *LACK* of effort that went into making the actors resemble the characters. As dumb as it sounds, just simple changes in Jill, Leon, Claire and even Ada's hairstyles would've gone a *VERY* long way for me.
The thing I hated the most was the characterization i mean you got RE2 Claire with code Veronica levels of competence skill and general badassery and my boy Leon who for the majority of the film is a little bitch who doesn’t even want to be a police officer even though it’s like literally his dream in the game oh and I am not going to even talk about wesker
They tried to do too much with this movie. Trying to cram Resident Evil 1 and 2 into one movie, when they should have just focused on the mansion incident. Then return to Leon and Claire in the sequel. And I was hell-a disappointed in this version of Wesker. He didn't have that cold, shady, evil mastermind feel to him. And Wesker isn't Wesker without the sunglasses.
It sounds like this film wants to be a direct adaptation of Resident Evil 1 and 2, but at the same time, it doesn't. As someone who recently played Resident Evil 2 REmake, I was looking forward to this movie, and while I haven't watched it yet, I will definitely give it a watch. Hopefully, if it does well enough to warrant making more adaptations, they either wholly adapt RE 3 and Code Veronica, or they just give those games their own movies. I know for a fact people would love to see a movie adaptation of RE 4, and I mean, without condensing RE 5 into the mix.
This review is much nicer and almost praising more than what Jeremy Jahns said, since he rated it as “I won’t remember this film in T-minus 1 day”. This is interesting
So fun fact: the little data pad Wesker gets, is actually a plot point from the Resident Evil Novelization written by S.D Perry, though in the book it was given to Jill. Also where in the sam hell was my man Barry Burton?
I look at it this way for the people who don't know what Resident Evil is it is a good way to possibly get them into the game franchise and at least it gives you more of the source material then the other movies did
Facts. They had the makings of a legit RE series, but I guess the Resident Evil 2 love is just too strong to not try adapting it in the first movie lol. Hopefully they get their act together for the sequel-- they have the right idea, just stick closer to the source material and we're golden. The filmmakers are very clearly fans of the material.
@@Th3Birdman how about the idea to put RE 2 first and put the mansion story as a prequel movie later on? It will obviously need a basic knowledge of the games beforehand, but i feel a risk worth taking. Other movies also have confusing order of watching yet manage to pull it off
@@rishiredij2449 I mean that's doable, but a little on the convoluted side. I get RE2 is beloved, but we don't get RE2 without the events in the first game, and I'd argue RE1 is one of the greatest games ever made, if we're talking about the REmake.
Hey Birdman. Solid review, I think we have similar feelings about the movie. Something I wanted to bring up though. By chance, was anyone in your theatre laughing at any point? Not even kidding, this is something that occurred in my theatre several times, and not in the scenes where they were trying to be funny, but in moments where clearly they were aiming to build drama or tension, but ended up making us laugh. Two that I can recall l was when Wesker was looking for Sherry in the lab after gunning down Will and Annette, the other was during the mansion, post-slaughterhouse sequence. Some lady said audibly “How’s this guy still alive?!” which had the whole theatre cracking up. My point here is that I think for both hardcore fans of Resident Evil as well as casual moviegoers, there were moments that were just absurd to look or think about. This movie was a guilty pleasure for me by way of the visuals (and I don’t mean the cgi stuff), and I certainly appreciated it for that, but there were just a lot of “wtf?!” and “huh?!” moments in the movie that I couldn’t help but chuckle or outright laugh at; turns out I wasn’t alone. Anyhow, yeah just curious if you had any of those moments, since you had said that the horror elements worked in this for you (which for certain scenes, I wholeheartedly agree).
As long as the sequels to this movie are only based off of one game at a time so they give more time to specific characters and plot points they should be pretty okay.
Faithful adaptation is never my expectation with these things. This film had me at mood and atmosphere. It felt like Resident Evil. I even got creeped out a few times..
I think alot of the changes was to tell the same story but not the exact same so you don't get a frame for frame as the game but you do get the true story somewhat
im starting to think it might be easier to just do a series instead so the whole story can be told and add more in so it flows better and makes more sense.
Much like Mortal Kombat… this film focused more on being a product than a movie. I love Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 is dare I say, my personal favourite entry in the RE series. All minor things aside, this film just did RE2 extremely dirty and the worst part was all the references and homages to the actual game like having Cheeseburger Gene as a more prominent (but asshole character) and having the whole Birkin family but with ZERO character development. Even as a hybrid of RE1 and RE2, it just borderline fails to understand what made the original RE2 so great and cutting so much content and having less is just mind blogging. I’m fine if there’s no Mr X, or Nemesis, or Marvin or Barry but the fact that these were all characters who moved and made the story work in the first place, it just comes off as terrible and really underwhelming. And don’t even get me started on the characters. I guess I’m okay with Claire and Chris (even though their backstory made zero sense) but what they did to Jill and Leon really pisses me off (and that sucks because they’re my two favourite heroes). They made Leon into this klutzy wimp who can’t even use his a shotgun but an RPG NO FUCKING PROBLEM, makes Luigi stand out like he’s fucking Chuck Norris. Hell, Steve Urkel could beat the shit out of this Leon! And Jill is a complete naracist and not the badass but kind hearted heroine she’s best known for in RE3 OG. This film feels like a complete betrayal and total shitshow of one my favourite horror games and franchises of all time. And also Birdman, which area of the film did you prefer? The RE2 police station and locations? Or the RE1 Manor House
Man, that's a good question. On the one hand, I thought the sequence in the Mansion was incredible, but it was severely condensed. The R.P.D.'s lobby looked dead-on accurate, but the rest of the station looked incredibly low budget, like the S.T.A.R.S. office looked like an afterthought. And the parking lot seems like the easiest thing to get right, but they kinda flubbed that too. So I'm gonna go with the Mansion, because I liked that part of the film the most.
Sat next to a guy in the theater and we spent the whole time talking Fun experience, we both mentioned Wesker was too buff, how Leon wasn't blond, and all the Easter eggs Plus, the CGI in this movie sucked At one point, he told me the pilot was Brad meaning that Nemesis won't be in the Movie since he died, so I guess Mr. X will be the sequel villian
Why do movies have to change up the story of the game so damn much every time? Just follow the game! It's there for the taking! It's like change for the sake of change.
My thing about it that it's bad, but not as bad as the rest of the RE movies that barley had anything to do with the games and just made it's own thing. They tried adapting it but failed.
Completely agree - Also, how do they not understand that the events of RE 0, 1, 2, 3 could all happen in or out of sequence, in under 20 episodes clocking in at an hour each. Seriously, it is that simple. Do it note for note and shot for shot, but add new things, new scares, new enemies, new allies, RETAIN THE BEST PARTS OF THE ORIGINAL AND USE THE GAME'S STORY TO ENGAGE THE ONE YOUR'E TELLING. I swear, the people who deserve to do these projects the least are always first in line.
I enjoyed the movie and the story they're going for especially the post credit scene, I don't like the way Leon was betrayed but besides that I'm satisfied
This is what needed to happen: make the film 30 min longer, at the point wesker dies, we find out annette is a scientist also (idk why they didn't fucking brainstorm this shit) wasn't killed but mortally wounded, there is a tyrant tube that sherry accidentally shoots and is leaking, a william infected G infects sherry, and starts mutating, they take annette, she gives exposition about how the vaccine is deeper in the lab and that's how the STARS were not infected by the water (could let Chris and jill take bites, leon not so much) sherry needs the vaccine because william will search for her and that there is a train. Leon and claire go to lab, Chris and jill go to train. Leon and claire fight another form of G while chris and jill fight tyrant, throw ada in there somewhere, then train ride, ending bam another 30min and it would have made more sense with more action and story
They should have stuck closer to the material. They should have just focused on RE1 only,The mansion. They should have had Barry and Rebecca. Then make and focus on RE2 for the sequel….
honestly i really liked the movie even as a re fangirl, i felt like i had an idea of what was going to happen but never sure so i never felt bored by it which was huge for me and my ADHD. but i get how thatd upset some people. i thought the acting was really good, and the dialogue never felt clunky, the turning of the people felt real i think my biggest complaints was they really turned leon and wesker into mourns (and as a leon fangirl im a little miffed),and that damn cgi leaves much to be desired...(i know im 3 months late on this....ah well, dont want to be in a theater) would love to see a fully edited video essay from you on this, or maybe an re1 lets play live
As a fanboy, I wasn't looking forward to any of the new RE movie stuff like Infinite Darkness, Welcome to Raccoon City and the Netflix series. I saw a little trailer thing introducing Wesker and I can't be the only one that got FFVII Sephiroth vibes right? They make Wesker sound like a outstanding friend in which he goes mad while he's in the Spencer Mansion kinda like how Sephiroth was the best and he found out the truth behind him in Nibelheim and turned evil lol.
And on the second note I like how birdman isn't just trashing on this movie because it's the popular thing to do like a lot of these other UA-camrs right now they're just they're just trashing on it for for clicks and views when in reality the movies actually really good we haven't had a horror resident evil movie true horror resident evil movie in a very long time now don't get me wrong this movie is not perfect the crap with Leon kind of irritated me but there's always room to grow with that the crap with Jill kind of irritated me but they did specifically hint at a lot of things with her everything else though was just insane like that scene in the jail cell was absolutely funny brutal and just absolutely crazy I'm not going to give too much details about jail seen cuz spoilers but it's my fave res movie deff
I always thought from the trailer that they should have focused on re1 which enough for one movie and if they are going to combine two of the games it should've been re2 and re3 since cannon 2 and 3 happened on same night.. like start off on 3 when everything went down in raccoon City and when it settled then Leon and Claire in it.
6:19 Wait...Wait...WAIT!!! THE ZOMBIE HIDE!!!??? WTF!!! Why didn't they adapt the 1st game first, then do 2 and 3 together? 'cause the 1st half of 3 happens before 2 then they can make all 3 protagonists escape together somehow maybe sherry and jill both need a cure all of them go to the lab together also they can mix mr.x and nemesis since they serve the same purpose.
It’s not non canon, it’s side canon lol, where we take parts we know you will recognize keep the story mostly the same cut some very relevant and stuff we wanna try, side canon. You heard it here folks RE: Multiverse confirmed 😂
its weird in the games claire is very conserned about her brother like they have a close bond yet in the movie she just bails on him and is all of a sudden interested in meeting him,i dont like what this movie is changing. might stil be a good movie but not in these chang moments,i also dont like how they made all the charc look only claire and chriss have actors that look like the charcs.
With how you’re describing this movie I want to see it even more. I want to see the horror aspects and laugh at the bad CG, cause I noticed how bad it was in the trailer lol. Good review, keep up the good work. ❤️
There is a specific scene with Ben Bertolucci in the holding cells in the R.P.D. that had egregiously bad CGI. Hope you get a good laugh out of that one lol
Ye Gods Man! You have an Amazing Voice. Resident Evil, The First one. My kids and I really enjoyed it. I hadn't seen anything quite like it before. I know it wasn't a Great Movie, but it was fun.
Tried to give them the benefit of doubt but I knew they should have stuck with one game instead of trying to adapt two hopefully if they get a chance for re3 they just focus on that movie and not three and four and the thing is it’s sad Bc people are gonna say “oh as a movie stand point” or “it’s for people who haven’t played the game” those aren’t strong defenses Bc let’s be on most of the people going to see this movie are re fans I think they should have just stuck to one movie even if it was a shot for shot remake would’ve been better than this
Me and my father both were so upset at this movie, it made no sense at all Yes I loved it for fan service but like with the keys in the orphanage when they used it to open the elevator that pissed me off so hard, the keys were for the police station like what the fuck? You give us fan service but then at times completely miss the actual use of said fan service.
That's one thing that bothered me too. I was like, hold up, those are the suit keys! They looked great but why weren't they for the damn R.P.D.??? Lmao!
I barely know anything about the RE series other then RE8 and the bare bones summary of RE1. But i am an avid movie fan so maybe if I like this enough as a film it'll be a good catapult into the franchise
now, i could be wrong here, but i think the second and third game take place at the same time. so if the studio really wanted to adapt two games in one movie, why not do two and three? i haven't played the games honestly and i dont plan on to, so this is a genuine question
Yes, the 2nd and 3rd games take place at roughly the same time and I'm pretty sure Jill gets to the police station after Leon and Claire go underground.
I’ve never played any of the games, I’ve never watched any of the movies, but when my dad asked me if I wanted to watch it, I told him I would have to understand the first game and I did think it was going to be bad but I didn’t know it was that bad and u need to play both games, I also heard they added in the 3rd game as well but not a lot of people are saying that
It seems like this movie is kinda like mortal Kombat. Like it tries to be faithful to the source material but at the same time changing certain aspects of it
Oddly with games looking the way they do now, i'm fair less inclined to even want to see a live action version. Heck some games have better "CG" than movies now. I wasn't even going to consider seeing this, but now alas I think I have to. Alas it sounds like we DO know why they made the changes they did, but we're being polite about it. Although no idea how you reconcile the rest of the series with the Wesker change.
This movie felt like the live action adaptation of Initial D, where they crammed the first two seasons of the anime and the animated movie into one thing. They left out numerous key characters, plot points, and major events for the sake of making it within a bullshit run time. Enjoyable, but knowing what I know kinda negatively effected my overall feel.
I gotta say, this video is the most relatable one I've seen. It has its issues some changes really grinded my gears but I didn't hate it. Huge fan of the games and Leon. And it wasn't great but it was a good time
Any other movie I would wait till I watched the movie, but this is resident evil, I've played these games 100s of times. Hey at least though there isn't a mary sue who steals all the story making the main characters in the games side characters.
Hey Birdman, I know that this is an unrelated question but I need some advice. I got called out on Reddit for being a huge hypocrite and while I'm trying to pretend like everything's fine and that I don't care, I'm really stressed out about it. This is my first time ever actually being called out online and I'm worried that I might have to delete my Reddit account or something. I just want some advice on how to deal with this situation. Also yes I know that this is kinda hypocritical because of the comments I made on the dislikes during last week's live stream.
Take some time to yourself, and step away from the internet. Read a nice book, see a brilliant film, eat something tasty. Remember, the people on the internet are not real, and they and their opinions of you do not matter in the grand scheme of your life. They are simply words on a screen. Remember that people love you, and only their opinions mean anything. If you feel up to it, apologize for being wrong about it (if you were) which can salvage the relationships that matter to you, and then come back refreshed and with a thicker layer of skin whenever you feel ready.
So this is literally like the injustice animated movie. It has a feel of the original source material but it's plot is similar but goes in a different direction.
More like they mash too much shit in a 90 minute production while also bastardizing characters. So yeah, this movie and Injustice are similar in a way.
Funny then this movie under utilized Leon while that netflix show is guilty of doing that to Claire. By the way have you ever read George Romero's script of Resident Evil?
I feel like Claire was good in the show. She’s smart and does the investigation aspect, making a ‘normal’ citizen as capable and skillful as a DSO agent such as Leon would be unrealistic.
Brother and I watched the movie drunk. Me going "yeah fuck this" and my brother repeating "we did it boys, jill is black" in hushed, childish laughs made the movie better. Don't think I can enjoy it sober.
Going to see it tonight, more excited for this than my last three birthdays (I’m 33) and missing several events with friends and family to see it opening night.
Honestly i get why people disliked/hated it...but dont @ me lol my wife and i loved it preferred it much better than the anderson films and shes not even a fan of the games she's only seem me play them all of them. And she caught the easter eggs more than i did lol
For me, regardless of following the source material, this movie was just boring. The first Paul W.S. Anderson RE film was more entertaining for me. None of the action was exciting and none of the forced humor was funny. That’s just in my opinion though. 2 or 3 out of 10 for me.
I haven't seen the film yet but it sounds like you were very fair to it. Especially when comparing your review to other more...let's say "agenda oriented" reviews. I might wait for it to be streamed. I'm a casual RE fan. I know some of the story but not in major details like major fans would so it sounds like I might have fun with it.
I did a lot of thinking, would of make sense to do resident evil 1 and 3 instead to follow Jill Valentine through out the storyline since Jill was the first to deal with the incident of Racoon City before resident evil 2. Then did resident evil 2, but with a backstory of Racoon City before the infection spread get to know the Characters of the movie, so when Leon and Claire enters Racoon City. We can focus on everything on game content for the movie since we don't have to worry about Character backstory besides Ada Wong since her backstory has to be done like the game. This is how the movie need to adapt to the game itself.
What's your favorite Resident Evil film? Strangely, this ****might****
be mine (?)

0:35 You're always so good at not spoiling things; a true rarity in video reviews. Thanks for giving us the heads-up on this one!
Lol and then hes so baffled by what he saw and how he feels about it he doesnt even do any spoilers!
Hardcore fan vs non hardcore fan perspective. The normies opinion don't matter here since this movie is clearly geared towards fans.
So fun fact: the little data pad Wesker gets, is actually a plot point from the Resident Evil Novelization written by S.D Perry, though in the book it was given to Jill. Also where in the sam hell was my man Barry Burton?
I look at it this way for the people who don't know what Resident Evil is it is a good way to possibly get them into the game franchise and at least it gives you more of the source material then the other movies did
True.
Don't know why they merged the two games. That didn't need to happen. At all.
Other movies also have confusing order of watching yet manage to pull it off
They merged plot points of both games, mixed it and totally forgot that source material.
Maybe Sony should stay away from adapting Residenti Evil games
im starting to think it might be easier to just do a series instead so the whole story can be told and add more in so it flows better and makes more sense.
Sat next to a guy in the theater and we spent the whole time talking
Fun experience, we both mentioned Wesker was too buff, how Leon wasn't blond, and all the Easter eggs
Plus, the CGI in this movie sucked
At one point, he told me the pilot was Brad meaning that Nemesis won't be in the Movie since he died, so I guess Mr. X will be the sequel villian
The pilot was Brad so that means Nemesis won't be in the movie?
What does that mean exactly?
Weaker was always buff he just wore those clothes that covered him up nicely, especially the jacket. Damn y’all bitch way too much
Why do movies have to change up the story of the game so damn much every time? Just follow the game! It's there for the taking! It's like change for the sake of change.
I'm too young to be scared by RE tbh.
by the time that i actually started playing video games, Leon is already suplexing zombies like it's nothing.
Day 71 of telling th3birdman I appreciate his content
Also I've returned sorry for not commenting recently I've got caught up in some stuff
So I heard that there's no T-101, no Mr. X, and no Nemmy, and Birkin is kinda... There...
It sounds like a real attempt at a faithful Resident Evil movie for fans but it got bogged down by studio interference.
I really hope it has a directors cut with extended scenes
Lol so “they’re a little confused but they got the spirit”
That guys a maniac, why’d he bite me!?
Classic!
They should have stuck closer to the material. They should have just focused on RE1 only,The mansion. They should have had Barry and Rebecca. Then make and focus on RE2 for the sequel….
I was probably going to see this just to support Donal Logue, but I'm glad to know it doesn't completely suck.
honestly i really liked the movie even as a re fangirl, i felt like i had an idea of what was going to happen but never sure so i never felt bored by it which was huge for me and my ADHD. but i get how thatd upset some people.
i thought the acting was really good, and the dialogue never felt clunky, the turning of the people felt real
i think my biggest complaints was they really turned leon and wesker into mourns (and as a leon fangirl im a little miffed),and that damn cgi leaves much to be desired...(i know im 3 months late on this....ah well, dont want to be in a theater)
would love to see a fully edited video essay from you on this, or maybe an re1 lets play live
They shouldn't of rushed it and tell this story as a true franchise
The gun flash scene.....str8 from equilibrium
They should've dropped it in October and on a streaming service. Those two things could've helped it.
Cannon
6:19 Wait...Wait...WAIT!!! THE ZOMBIE HIDE!!!??? WTF!!!
Why didn't they adapt the 1st game first, then do 2 and 3 together? 'cause the 1st half of 3 happens before 2 then they can make all 3 protagonists escape together somehow maybe sherry and jill both need a cure all of them go to the lab together also they can mix mr.x and nemesis since they serve the same purpose.
I was really ambivalent about seeing this, but after that synopsis i definitely maybe think i could enjoy it or totally hate it!
I suppose that the director really likes redfields siblings and, probably, wants to continue the lineage
Th3 birdman should do a video about Code Veronica. Long overdue. His favorite RE game of all time.😂😂😂
Do it Birdman I love your perspective on things
It’s not non canon, it’s side canon lol, where we take parts we know you will recognize keep the story mostly the same cut some very relevant and stuff we wanna try, side canon. You heard it here folks RE: Multiverse confirmed 😂
O.O Holy shit... I kind of want to check this out. Cool review 👍
its weird in the games claire is very conserned about her brother like they have a close bond yet in the movie she just bails on him and is all of a sudden interested in meeting him,i dont like what this movie is changing.
might stil be a good movie but not in these chang moments,i also dont like how they made all the charc look only claire and chriss have actors that look like the charcs.
@@Th3Birdman oh I 100% will. It’s always funny to point out bad CG in a movie and my family just looks at me like I’m crazy.
Ye Gods Man! You have an Amazing Voice. Resident Evil, The First one. My kids and I really enjoyed it. I hadn't seen anything quite like it before. I know it wasn't a Great Movie, but it was fun.
Goddamn, sounds like Jill keeps getting shafted, not just in her games, but also in the movies too. Like what the Fuck Capcom?!
Tried to give them the benefit of doubt but I knew they should have stuck with one game instead of trying to adapt two hopefully if they get a chance for re3 they just focus on that movie and not three and four and the thing is it’s sad Bc people are gonna say “oh as a movie stand point” or “it’s for people who haven’t played the game” those aren’t strong defenses Bc let’s be on most of the people going to see this movie are re fans I think they should have just stuck to one movie even if it was a shot for shot remake would’ve been better than this
Did it suck? Yes. Yes, it did. Saw it last night and just couldn’t enjoy it. Only cool part about the movie was seeing locations from the game.
Me and my father both were so upset at this movie, it made no sense at all
Yes I loved it for fan service but like with the keys in the orphanage when they used it to open the elevator that pissed me off so hard, the keys were for the police station like what the fuck? You give us fan service but then at times completely miss the actual use of said fan service.
That's one thing that bothered me too. I was like, hold up, those are the suit keys! They looked great but why weren't they for the damn R.P.D.??? Lmao!
So, I mostly agree with the review provided, but I would add one caveat. They did nobody dirtier than Mr. X, and it made me unbelievably sad.
Hey birdman or anyone know what’s the song 🎵 playing in the background in the beginning
Without watching your video, "suck" is not enough to describe how bad this movie is...
Did it suck?…..uh YEA!
I’ve never played any of the games, I’ve never watched any of the movies, but when my dad asked me if I wanted to watch it, I told him I would have to understand the first game and I did think it was going to be bad but I didn’t know it was that bad and u need to play both games, I also heard they added in the 3rd game as well but not a lot of people are saying that
A serious question, though...
was there Jill Sandwich scene?
The way you feel about this movie is how I feelt after watching the first season of the Witcher, right after I had listen to the books.
I gotta say, this video is the most relatable one I've seen. It has its issues some changes really grinded my gears but I didn't hate it. Huge fan of the games and Leon. And it wasn't great but it was a good time
From the trailer and when I saw the zombies I didn’t think it would be good I haven’t seen it so as I right?
Resident Evil 1 should have been its own movie, then maybe combine 2 and 3 into one movie since at least those events happened around the same time.
I understand your frustration Birdman!! I really do and I can't stand it when they do this
I enjoyed it too... but it's getting ripped to shred lol
I'm going to report this to Wesker.
They shouldve just done the first game
Loved it, hated some minors things but I wished it was like 15 minutes longer..
Imagine being able to go to the cinema...
Damn you lockdown!
I wanted leon and Ada meeting
I think Johnny Mesner would've played a perfect Chris Redfield
Going to see it tonight, more excited for this than my last three birthdays (I’m 33) and missing several events with friends and family to see it opening night.
It sounds to me like there was a lot of studio interference.
Honestly i get why people disliked/hated it...but dont @ me lol my wife and i loved it preferred it much better than the anderson films and shes not even a fan of the games she's only seem me play them all of them. And she caught the easter eggs more than i did lol
Everything is better than the Anderson movies
For me, regardless of following the source material, this movie was just boring. The first Paul W.S. Anderson RE film was more entertaining for me. None of the action was exciting and none of the forced humor was funny. That’s just in my opinion though.
2 or 3 out of 10 for me.
Re2 and 3 literally happened at the same time, they should have just adapted those two combined. I feel like it would have blended better.
I'm writing this before watching.
I am scared this is gonna suck :(
Birdman, you rock!
Well I didn't have high hopes for this considering It's based off a video game. I didn't like any of them.
