Good job! That looks wonderful, Julie! I hope it does well for you on the mount. 'Big One x self, sounds fantastic! They are such stunning and interesting blooms. 😍 I have my first bloom on my cucullata, with what looks like another to follow. I potted last fall into pumice/semi-hydro and doing wonderfully thus far. Have a great weekend, Julie! 😘🤗❤️
Hi Robi. Thank you for your time and kind words. Congratulations on your first blooms. I think you have my email, can you please send me a picture of the blooms ?
@@JuliesOrchids Thank you! Will do right away while I'm taking a short break. This 35-40C+ weather is keeping me on my toes even in semi-hydro and 24-29C grow space.
......very nice work Julie......Ive never had a Brassavola that didnt do well mounted, or even tied to a brick.......they need that wet dry cycle......My B. Nadossa that I mounted a few months ago has over 10 new growths on it.....Im sure yours will do well in your care.
Hi Rick. Thank you for your kind words. I’m excited for it to settle in. My mount stand and routine seems to be working out for the few plants that I have mounted. Only time will tell, summer is coming and the dry season returns. We’ll see how the mounts hold up. My fingers are crossed. Honestly, I’m over winter and ready for some warmer days. Rain and 52F for our high temperatures today. 🥶 please enjoy your nice warm sunshine for me.
Hi Linda, thank you for watching and your question. I am watering it once in the morning and once in the early evening. 7 am and 7 pm. Seems to be doing ok. I have some old man's beard moss hanging over the mount too. Sometimes I forget the evening water...doesn't seem to bother it...however, summer is coming and that might change. I'll do an update on this plant in the summer here. Have a lovely day.
🎉🎉That looks great, Julie 😍😍 may she grow and bloom well for you ❤❤ hope you had a wonderful day and wishing you a cozy evening ❤
Howdy my friend. Thank you. I did have a great day today, hope you did too. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. 🥰

I haven’t mounted any orchids yet. How often do you water this one?
