How about a man who put himself through college, fought to get a good job, takes care of his kids. Is going through it. Our military veterans go through it. Criminals choose to be criminals. Yeah, for sure. Death gotta make transition now. He's a real dude too and he's interesting...like Jake you can watch them grow into these different people through they're videos. Josh or Death just needs a person in charge of his media(video, audio, editing, pacing) and maybe someone to co-host. He has a lot of dead air which is a death sentence for entertaining these audiences with no attention span. Seriously the right person, probably close to a complete opposite of him, could set that shit on fire. A energetic, witty dude full of questions about the life (because he's not familiar with it) bouncing questions, jokes and roasting each other.. roasting people in the story...just laughing at absurdity but also acknowledging what they talking about is heavy, sad, tragic, wrong, and situations that are completely unfair in the court room. Shit even dropping a Podcast too. I am riding hard for Josh but I ride hard as 4uck for Jake too. I feel like we all made it , watching him sit there with Adam and holding his own...plus Adam give him respect right off the rock. Good luck to all y'all hustlers out there , let's get what we working for. Love ya

Gang members tend to touch a raw nerve on some recovering addicts minds, largely because they where likely treated pretty fowl by people in a simular situation as Jake in their personal past and some don't like anyone who speaks on their ugly gangster violent past in anytype of glorifying light at all, so they just don't like anyone not coming across as anything but apologizing & pure condemnation of their past gangster lifestyle and some feel a certain way towards people who they personaly kinda blame for helping in fueling their addictions and taking them down a dark path, so their thinking is that local gangs sold the drugs to them that they got hooked on and so they are pure evil and shit.
Personaly I really like 1090 Jake and rock with him for real, as he's a real solid dude.
But that's the mindset of those kinda people hardcore in recovery and why they might feel a certain type of way about 1090 Jakes content online.

If you get time hit up Js channel! I’ve been there since he had 150,000 followers. You will appreciate him even more. This interview filled in a lot of areas that were missing? His 1st job at the store and taking a serious charge up North in his new move from Florida. I thought he stayed straight but nope and I didn’t know about it. So thankful for two issues for him. One the charge was not in Florida because back to the Pen he would have been placed for a long time. 2. He got a job with a pay check and learning about living a normal life and he got to learn about himself. He was proud of his accomplishments on the job with sales and that was probably the FIRST TIME someone said hey you are really good ! Words of Affirmation is very powerful! He became open to the regulars and BAM story telling started and more words of Affirmation came to him. Enjoy his stories they are rockin
