Next time you come to Cayeux (that you pronounced well by the way), tell me and we'll bring you to the real spots ;-) You were actually at the proper freeride spot which can become really flat at low tide. But we also have waves and many other variations all around the bay... It is very important sailing here to well watch the tides and the currents etc, it can go pretty bad if you get them wrong. A general rule is if no-one on water be cautious (we sail all year long). Bonne continuation.

Thanks Nocolas, I'll let you know when I'm heading that way again. Really enjoyed the spot. 👌 I did notice a lot of people riding further downwind and I was with a few other people where I was.

Mike coming through to UK for some work and wondering if it is worthwhile bringing my gear along in the Winter? Will be based in Oxford.

      Hey!
Definitely worth bringing your gear. Winter's here are great for wind as long as you have a thick wetsuit and don't mind the cold.

That was crazy, what happened? When you relaunched it looked like the kite could have used a bit more air because it folded quite a bit. Looked like a super fun session

@@erbartlett I landed in the white water, got dragged towards the kite. Then it stalled and powered up when I was still underwater. That put some major tension on the front lines and snapped the pig tails that needed replacing and then snapped one steering line. Luckily one remained. Kite was pumped to 9 psi 👌

@@mikethekite did you have extra pigtails on hand?! Looks like you just relaunched and went back out

The lines are new? So it is common that the lines snap with something like what happened with you?

The lines have had good use but the main problem was wear on the pigtails connecting the front power lines. I normally go out in strong winds so these wear very quickly. I should have replaced the pigtails and that would have saved me the snapped lines.
