- It's been a while since I had any wind above 30 knots, so when I saw a decent forecast on the horizon, I jumped at the chance to go and ride. I was super excited to test the 8m Ozone Edge V11 kite with the Code V3 board. It was amazing to get out there and fly around with some of the Tide team and lots of friends around. Now the wait begins for a 40+ day.

I also own a 8m Edge and am getting ready to kiteloop. What are the heights you are jumping for a safe kiteloop?
Before kite looping I would suggest getting the heli loop and sent jumps with a heli loop dialled first. If you do, you don't have to be too high for your first attempts. Go in light winds and practice looping with small jumps and gradually get higher when you feel more in control. Then you can go out in slightly stronger wind and keep progressing. Steven Akkerstdijk has made some amazing videos on this and it's definitely worth watching those to get you ready for those first loops. Good luck!
Thanks man! Already got the heliloop on lock and have seen the Masterclass videos couple of weeks ago. Those are great indeed, thanks. Also doing small kiteloops up until 3m approx. Was just wondering what a safe height would be in order for the 8m Edge to fully catch me after I swing under it. What is your idea?
@@josmolema690 Ok that's great! For the kite to fully catch you with a heli loop after the initial loop I would say anything near 8m high.

So, Edge or XR.....?
I'm really enjoying the speed and direct feel of the Edge. This is definitely something the XR is missing. The real test will be in 40+ but I might be waiting a while for that. So far, I'm really happy with Ozone products. Edge or XR? I think the Edge is a winner for me.
