    The completely redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Camaro might look like a clever update of the 2015 model, but it's an entirely new car, riding on a platform shared with the Cadillac CTS and ATS. That means there's a new level of refinement at play, but it’s not all rosy for the Camaro, as the previous model had some serious setbacks that negatively impacted its usability in daily driving. So did Chevy take advantage of all the positive attributes offered by sharing a platform with the CTS/ATS? Or did it fall into the same pitfalls? Read more on CarGurus: cargur.us/7js4X

    Fun video, I have to disagree with a few statements. The 2016 V8 isn't exactly nose heavy in the turns, it has pretty close to 50/50 weight distribution. Blind spot monitoring is pointless when your mirrors are adjusted properly. With them adjusted out, you don't have a side to side blind spot anymore. I've been daily driving a Camaro since 2012, it's not a difficult car to daily drive. I now have a 2016 2SS and it's fantastic for daily driving. I absolutely love the exhaust note and the low end torque power that my 2011 V6 was missing. The addition of the backup camera is very nice though. It's great for lining up my car into a parking spot. That for me has been the most difficult thing to do in a Camaro. Now I can do it with ease.

      I know this is 4 years later but does the 2016 have better visibility than the 2012

    • @SPARTANsui1
      @SPARTANsui1 4 роки тому

      @@JustJoshBruh slightly better out the front. They sloped the dash downward towards the passenger side and the A pillar are much smaller. Side windows are more or less the same visibility. Rear isn't great, but the camera helps a lot (my 2011 had no camera!) and of course adjust your mirrors! :)

      spartan sui thanks, the main thing I was worried about was rear visibility I plan on getting a 16-18 model soon

      I’ve seen so many reviews that have critiqued the angle of the infotainment display. No issue when I’ve seen it up close.

    The sixth gen Camaro is seriously good looking. Regardless of which front end you prefer and tail lights - car is super nice looking.

    ppl bashing on the v6 just cause is a v6 but theres v8 back then with way less power. so is ok if it is a v8 with 335 hp but not ok for a v6? please spare me. this v6 camaro is faster then a challenger RT hemi.

      the Camaro V6 is a great car. But the SS V8 is simply light years better. It's that simple, really.

    • @robertjakicic5878
      @robertjakicic5878 4 роки тому +3

      So light years better then what? Higher insurance? Premium gas? Can't use all that horsepower on the street, and by the way , 0 to 60 times for the SS comes at 4.1 and the V6 at 5 1 so a full one second at really killing it.

    There may be a weight penalty with the V-8, but you're getting a lot better performance, and not only in a straight line. What this guy doesn't consider is that the V-6 model has relatively skinny P245 tires, and you can't get wider ones. The V-8 has P275 rubber. That enables you to pull higher lateral g's with the V-8.
    In addition, the V-8 has the variable magnetic shock absorber option. You can't get that on the V-6. This will also increase the handling advantage of the V-8 over the V-6, as well as give you a better ride.
    In my mind the 2SS V-8 with the 6=speed manual is the most desirable Camaro, until, perhaps, the 1LE package becomes available.

      Ever look up price for 275//20s ? Beside you can always put 20x9 rims of your liking.

    chassis tuning & interior stylizing & commitment in various configurations transform into "worth it", drive it back to back with Mustang 4cyl ecoboost & V6cyl 3.6L DI LGX powerplant & the difference between the two is either hardcore pref or a convert to faithful bec of tuning & interior compliant ergonomics etc.
    This car redifined how & what Camaro muscle sports market catagory has been about.
    Thr turn in at 12 o clock to hold steady at center there lies no snap back from spring & chassis compliance

    I'm a little late here but I need to thank Jim Grando at Bob Novick Auto in Bridgeton, NJ for taking my money on a 2016 2SS on 4/30/18. Total black on the outside right down to the badges and black Niche wheels with a surprise of red/black leather on the inside. If you can't find me, I'm probably out crusin'!

      +Carlos Flores That can't be correct. I just picked up a 2SS loaded with MRC, Dual Mode Exhaust, wheel upgrade, auto, and adrenaline red seats for $42k...that's pretty much loaded with everything but the 6piston breaks and stripes. I mean I know that's what the man said but??

    • @jeffpuha8187
      @jeffpuha8187 8 років тому +1

      +Joshua Laster No. He's correct. I just priced one on the Chevy website. The 2LT with the RS package, Brembo 6-piston brake upgrade, 8-speed automatic, and dual-mode performance exhaust is $39, 805 as of this date.
      I'll take the 2SS V-8 with the manual gearbox instead.

    The v6 drawback is its low on torque. A 335hp v8 back n the day would pushing around 400lbs ft of torque. Also the v6 still does not have the sound of music.

    • @benedictdonald4338
      @benedictdonald4338 5 років тому +2

      exactly. While I love the "smoothness" of a V6, it's terrible slugishness off the line makes a 4 cylinder more desirable in comparison. And that's a sad fact. so, as a result, i'll stickw with the V8.
