You should think abt speedy weight loss too. That might be anorexic and cachexic for stg 4. Consider IV therapy for cachexic symptoms. Talk to the doctor too. This could give them energy to do thing whatever tbey want. Bear in mind, first 3-4 days prolly require some rest for vitamins to work. Sometimes even you feel a bit pain in the early vitamin infusion. 😥😥

Baby Cakes Well the doctor gave us a bunch of referrals for different doctors so I took her for the swallow test that he recommended and the doctor that did the test said she’s aspirating but doesn’t know why so we have to go see her primary doctor. Than a couple days later someone from the doctors office called and said he made an appointment for her to see a urogynecologist and speech pathologist. So I don’t know what to think. We made an app. to see her doctor to talk to him about everything but he’s going on vacation so we can’t see him until Aug. 1
Wow. When I was 5 my mother had to go cause she had lung cancer. She never smoked but when I was like 3 the doctors told my uncle and aunt that she had stage 4 lung cancer. She kept getting sick and these colds so that's why she got checked . They told my uncle and aunt that she had 6 months to live :/ but the good part is she lived for 2 1/2. I'm 14 now but I've lived through it.

@@peachberry2846 Not just whole food or plant based but keto. Several doctors have said that cancer cannot feed or grow on ketones. There are also numerous books on surviving with stage 4 cancer on a keto diet with a strong focus on those foods which actively fight cancer. Coupled with immunotherapy if possible several cancer treatment centers have had great results. I honestly don't vibe much with a plant based diet as a cancer treatment because there is such a protein deficit since your body gets protein from many plants but not all the types of protein it needs. Certain plant combinations can give you those full chain proteins BUT generally speaking those combinations are not keto friendly. Keto starves the cancer to death.

romik117; Have faith! I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, in December of 2018. Had Chemo, radiation, and immunitherapy. Sometime at end of 2019, my NSCC of right lung, matasized to stage 4.(Entered the liver.) Had 2 more out of 4 new chemo treatments at beginning of January 2020. Stopped because I just couldn't take all the pain, no desire to eat. Food made me nauseous. I had a petscan last week, and my oncologist told me my cancer has stabilized. Basically what that means, is the cancer has taken a pause. I feel better, and got my appetite back. Also feel pretty good Hope that in some small way, this helps, and gives your mom some semblance of hope. (Was on Imfinzi) As of last week, even though my stage 4 lung cancer has matasized, to my liver, I've been feeling pretty good, and my oncologist told me, from the imaging last week that my cancer has stabilized. Guess that means a temporary reprieve. Have just tried liquid THC for the first time, and it really has increased my appetite, as I had no interest at all in eating. Best to you.

I’m a 52 year old female who experienced a collapsed lung out of the blue. One morning nobody was home at the time and I wasn't quite sure what had happened. I was healthy as far as I knew. My late mother died of small cell lung cancer they never even mentioned clinical trials. It as only chemotherapy and radiation. Which she didn't do cause she do cause the cancer spread to her lymph nodes and spine. So she had hospice care. Which was ok accept for the medication algeries she had.

I don't think immunotherapy is a clinical trial anymore but it's not widely adopted by all doctors or treatment centers yet. From what I have been reading have you go find the doctors who are using immunotherapy treatments. My understanding the immunotherapy had worked well on non small cell lung cancer maybe that why it wasn't an option for your mother. I don't remember him having a hoarse cough but his appetite totally went towards the end and he had trouble breathing because of swollen lymph nodes and the tumor on his lung. Baby Cakes Well the doctor gave us a bunch of referrals for different doctors so I took her for the swallow test that he recommended and the doctor that did the test said she’s aspirating but doesn’t know why so we have to go see her primary doctor. Than a couple days later someone from the doctors office called and said he made an appointment for her to see a urogynecologist and speech pathologist. So I don’t know what to think. We made an app. to see her doctor to talk to him about everything but he’s going on vacation so we can’t see him until Aug. 1
Oh and also a couple of days ago she said her right armpit was hurting her and that has me concerned because that’s where your lymphnoids are found
Wow. When I was 5 my mother had to go cause she had lung cancer. She never smoked but when I was like 3 the doctors told my uncle and aunt that she had stage 4 lung cancer. She kept getting sick and these colds so that's why she got checked . They told my uncle and aunt that she had 6 months to live :/ but the good part is she lived for 2 1/2. I'm 14 now but I've lived through it.

My sister was just diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer after treatment of a uterine sarcoma. We all hoping for the best I am also preparing mentally for the worst. @@peachberry2846 Not just whole food or plant based but keto. Several doctors have said that cancer cannot feed or grow on ketones. There are also numerous books on surviving with stage 4 cancer on a keto diet with a strong focus on those foods which actively fight cancer. Coupled with immunotherapy if possible several cancer treatment centers have had great results. I honestly don't vibe much with a plant based diet as a cancer treatment because there is such a protein deficit since your body gets protein from many plants but not all the types of protein it needs. Certain plant combinations can give you those full chain proteins BUT generally speaking those combinations are not keto friendly. Keto starves the cancer to death.

Have faith! I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, in December of 2018. Had Chemo, radiation, and immunitherapy.
Sometime at end of 2019, my NSCC of right lung, matasized to stage 4.(Entered the liver.)
Had 2 more out of 4 new chemo treatments at beginning of January 2020. Stopped because I just couldn't take all the pain, no desire to eat. Food made me nauseous.
I had a petscan last week, and my oncologist told me my cancer has stabilized. Basically what that means, is the cancer has taken a pause.
I feel better, and got my appetite back. Also feel pretty good
Hope that in some small way, this helps, and gives your mom some semblance of hope.

(Was on Imfinzi) As of last week, even though my stage 4 lung cancer has matasized, to my liver, I've been feeling pretty good, and my oncologist told me, from the imaging last week that my cancer has stabilized. Guess that means a temporary reprieve.
Have just tried liquid THC for the first time, and it really has increased my appetite, as I had no interest at all in eating.

I’m a 52 year old female who experienced a collapsed lung out of the blue. One morning nobody was home at the time and I wasn't quite sure what had happened. I was healthy as far as I knew. lost my mother from small cell lung cancer also. sorry for your loss. as far as I know there is no treatment. my mother also had hospice. she was diagnosed with stage 4 and passed away a month later. awful thing to watch.
I don't think immunotherapy is a clinical trial anymore but it's not widely adopted by all doctors or treatment centers yet. From what I have been reading have you go find the doctors who are using immunotherapy treatments. My understanding the immunotherapy had worked well on non small cell lung cancer maybe that why it wasn't an option for your mother. The 3 drugs which are FDA approved are Yervoy (ipilimumab), Keytruda (pembrolizumab) and Tecentriq (atezolizumab) you can read about it link below
