WE WANT MORE! WE WANT MORE!
Literally working on another video right now 😄
@@JoshBirman Good man, quality work🙌 You will do well my friend
Me looking for new audio gear for a double booked video weekend & this popping up as a suggested video🥺🙌🏻
great video Josh!
Very nice video! Helpful, too.
Great video. Even though I have been in he film industry for over 20years, audio always has been somewhat of a mystery to me 😅 so I love watching these kind of setups. Thanks for the video
Thanks man!! I totally get what you’re saying. Audio gear is more familiar to me now, but trying to edit audio is a whole other beast 😂
You should consider the InstamicPro plus , 32bit float recorder , unbelievable small and good quality
Now that's some quality right here!!
I'm really impressed my man!
Thank you so much!!
Solid video! Looking forward to seeing more 🙏🏽
Thanks dude!! I’m excited to make more 😊
Very courteous of you to put the full setup at the beginning for the impatient - shows that you have no reason to fluff up the rest of the video, so I stayed for the good tips. I've gained a new respect for wedding videographers and photographers - honestly growing up I saw the job as boring, but recently I've come to understand it's one of the most intense media jobs, technically and logistically.
That example footage and audio you showed are hella crispy btw 0_0
It can definitely be a hard job at times and freaking STRESSFUL 😂 But it’s great and an awesome way to meet some really cool people.
Holy shit. This is fantastic. You need more subs!
Hahaha! 😂 Thanks dude!
Great video, Josh! I've recently picked up the Zoom F3 and I can't believe I didn't hear about it/purchase it sooner.
Isn’t it amazing?! It’s so much better than my Zoom H4n.
nicely done Josh. Subscribed.
Thanks Paul! I’m excited to put out more content 😄
Love the zoom f3!
It’s a wonderful recorder!! And I love how small it is.
Great video! I was asked to film a friend's wedding for the first time and I'm in full research mode. This helps a lot! Thanks 😁
Go check out Matt Johnson and How to Film Weddings. They’re both great resources!
@@JoshBirman Thank you. already binging his stuff :)
Great video. Keep it going. Would love to see your c70 setup and footage 😊
Thanks man!! I’ve got a YT Short about my C70 rig, but I’m definitely planning to make a full video on it at some point.
Hey! Fellow wedding filmmaker here :) Thanks for this video, might actually go ahead and pull the trigger on the F3 now!
It’s an amazing tool!
production quality is insane
Thanks man!!
Your f3 is the only piece that’s modern. I’d highly recommend changing to the newer tascam with 32bit float. I personally use the tentacle track e for groom with 32 bit float and don’t mic bride. Boosting groom mic with 32bit float is perfect for bride
No doubt! That’s why I mentioned in the video how I would recommend getting a 32bit float recorder like the Tentacle Sync Track E.
Thanks for the video, Josh. I have two of the Tascam DR-10L recorders (both in black, but a third mic in white). They are great, but I kind of wish that I had got something that I could jam time code to :(
I know what you mean. Those Tentacle Sync Track Es are so enticing!
Finally the algorithm showed me something good. You're awesome!
You just made my day ❤️ Thanks man!!!
@@JoshBirman and I even needed input on lavs, because I'm not really happy with mine.
What are you using right now?
@@JoshBirman I’m using a rode lav II with a dji wireless mic. But my on camera mics sound better
Oh dang, yeah that’s not good if your on camera mic is sounding better. Does a quick EQ not help much either?
Really solid video man! Top tier 👏 We have a really similar kit. I just bought the Tascam X8, I have two F2's, DJI wireless mic's, and the Deity D3Pro... and the crab clamp x2 🤣. I can strap the DJI Mics in record mode to the DJ's mic, or I have a small mic that connects to the F2 if I want 32bit on the DJ's mic. I also like to use the F2's and then connect the DJI mic to the out so I can bake in the audio into one of my cameras, but also have the 32bit if I need it.
Thanks man!!! That’s a really great use for the DJI mics! Have you ever run into wireless issues with the DJ’s mic and the DJI mics causing interference with each other?
@@JoshBirman One time there was a small buzz, but I realized it was actually the magnet on the DJI mic not the mic itself. Now I leave the magnet in the charging case when I couple it with other devices.
That’s awesome! I might have to add a set of those to my kit.
The F3 has been one of the biggest nightmare pieces of equipment for me . I don’t know if I’ve just got defective one but it’s ruined so many shoots , I just don’t use it anymore . It’s crazy how excited I was to get it and it’s been nothing but down hill since .
Anyway . Great post ! ✌🏼✌🏼
Oh dang! I’m sorry you’ve had such trouble with it. What issues have you run into?
@@JoshBirman I’m 100% sure it’s all me ; human error . I just can’t get good audio out of it . I’ve paired it with the Octava - my-012 (a fantastic mic) but all I get is hiss in post . I just can’t seem to get the levels right ? I was thinking about taking to the shop I bought it from to see if they can help . 😞
That’s so weird! Yeah, good idea to take it into the shop.
@@JoshBirman I want to love it ! For the size alone ! Anyway . Loved the post brother . Keep up the good work . Subbed ! ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Do you have phantom power turned on?
32-Bit Float! 🙌🏻😇
I don’t know how I got usable audio before the F3 😂
Like the weird intro!!!!! Sub’nnn
Thanks man!
