Thank you for this tutorial! I’m not getting the extra tools; I figure I can use a pencil or a paint brush to curl the paper, and use an embossing/scoring tool to score, but I would totally have cut this wrong if you weren’t there to help! And yes, it would have ended with me sitting on the floor in a pile of rose petals, crying. Ha.
Thanks for the video. Do you by chance have the large lotus flower die cut? I bought it and I can’t find a tutorial to put it together. Thank you again
Ramona Harrell I bought the large lotus flower and I don’t have a clue how to make it. When you go to his videos he just talks lol. Very little instructions
I"m confused about which way to curl the leaves. If the center line is indented, (valley fold) are you curling the leaves AWAY and out from the center line or curling the leaves inward toward the line fold? It looks like you did it two different ways for the large and small petals.
I’ve heard of a cuttle bug but never really knew what it does So it’s like a mini Cricut? Also would you recommend a bone folder or the curl tool for the petals?
Im loving the curl tool that is for sure but if you have a bone folder use it I just think the curl tool gives the perfect curl and less strain on your hands. and the cuttle bug is basically a mini cricut with no power :)
Cuttlebug is a die cut machine. You use thin metal dies and your paper sandwiched between plastic in a “sandwich” and turn a crank to cut the paper. Cricut you just program what you want, and put the paper on the mat, and it cuts for you, with no arthritis pain, and for less money in the long run. The initial investment for the Cricut is higher, but the templates are much cheaper than metal dies (because digital). I have both because I need all the things and I love being flat broke all the time. 🤣🤣
Great tutorial. Very detailed and helpful. Thank you!
What is the brand name and name of the curling tool you are using please? I would love to have one!! Thank you.
Crystal your a great teacher...thanks ...
thank you so much it means alot :)
For the Small petal. I folded the paper in half so it was 4.25x11... got 4 easy cuts, may get 5 if strategically placed..
Thanks for the tip
Will these cut felt?

Yes they can :)

Is that cardstock?
Or just paper?
so pretty, but it really seems like a lot of work for one flower
Ebony Shavon it really is a lot of work . Quicker to cut the petals by hand.
if you fold your 8 1/2" x 11 sheet of paper in half, then cut in 2 3/4" widths, you can get 4 of the small petals without any problem.
Thanks for the tip
I saw this somewhere recently but I wasn't aware it was this big. Makes me want it now ...
they were on clearance at hobby lobby for 4.99 you might check it out
