Seeing him being alone , scavenging for food , starving to the point where he was happy to see rotting raw meat , finally getting to eat only for it to be bait in a trap that took his life . Honestly I found this to be the most depressing trailer it shows that there are still lives in the abandoned factory fighting for survival and losing the fight.
It isnt his fault, its probably the only food source down there, but then again these little rascals were a bit of a pain in chapter 3, and what they did to dogday

Personally I have two theories One; after the cat nap fiasco playtime co probably created the sheep to be a better replacement for cat nap but the toys were such a failure they just scrapped the toy entirely Two; the sheep was going to be the original cat nap and wanted to fo for an goth look but playtimw co thought it was too edgy for children and didn't fit with the other critters so they replaced the sheep with cat nap

Mob copyrighted the names "Nightmare Critters and Baba Chops" so my theory is that the Nightmare Critters were made to be the bad guys to the smiling critters

so at the end of ch3, one of the big questions was "What happened to the kids that were still in Playcare during the Hour of Joy?". then, in the ch4 trailer, we see the piles of shredded toys, which we could assume we're all part of the experiments. what if those are the children? cause they'd been down there for many years at that point and wouldn't have had any food or water. and perhaps the prototype turned all the remaining kids into the toys because they started getting sick or dying and the prototype was trying to save them, like he did with CatNap. anyways, I am so excited for this new chapter!!!!! time to binge all the previous Poppy Playtime videos
A curious theory, and one to be considered, definitely. My biggest concern with Chapter 4 (and with Baba Chops, the lamb Smiling Critter [presumably]) is this- is Baba Chops really the big threat down here? Or is his kind (assuming that there are still a decent amount of them) merely warning us of a black sheep among the other toys- something that, possibly, even the Prototype doesn't trust? Heck, we could have a possible black sheep within Poppy's colleagues (i.e. Ollie [obvious as it may be], whatever it was that attacked Kissy Missy, etc.) ...just something to ponder. Still, it's a good time to start theorizing.
If that theory is right. Then sad to say, it was a massive failure. All those children died anyway, I imagine prototype and catnap didn’t take them dying anyway despite their efforts well.

Its very likely just the placeholder like the mask of Ch3, and later we'll get the face of the real main villain/s of the chapter, its speculated the true antagonists are gonna be a toy made of yarn, and one made of playdoh, to form a trio of arts n crafts or something, the sheep may just be part of a group of minor antagonists we'll encounter at some point, and there seem to be many like the Smiling Critters

I think I know what this "prison" location is supposed to be. We already know that Playtime co. has their own on-site orphanage, which, if you think about it, it would make sense for them to do that if they're one of the biggest toy factories out there, but there's no way a TOY FACTORY would have an on-site prison unless it was meant for young criminals/delinquents, meaning that this "prison" is very well likely a Juvenile Detention Center.
It would be a kick in the balls if it meant January of 2026 instead of next year. Not trying to scare you or anything, just be catious. EDIT: well holy shi*, they announced it next year, basically just over two months

My theory is that chapter 4 might be set in an asylum where playtime co keep all the crazy and unfinished toys and for the black sheep it may be a early design for the smiling critters but playtime co decided to cut it out but still made it along with a bigger body and they all lock in the cells being forgotten but when the hour of job happened they were free and they may have a hate towards the smiling crittersn and will attack any of them on sight

I wonder if the Sheep is actually the main villain. Or like a shadow for the real one. If you take a notice at the previous art pieces mob-entertainment has posted you can see patterns of yellow blue and red (inside-out) and it looks JUST LIKE the logo shown in the chapter. I originally thought that color-scheming was meant for huggy or something, but I don't know. Just a thought, those colors resemble huggy, but if you remember the original chapter, the first vhs says "security system" (he meant huggy) but what if there was an ACTUAL security team watching us? (Or the prototype watching us through that system?) You can look around the chapter (around jail screen shots) there are security cameras. This could be where the "story so far" videos come from. And how they are watching us.
Somebody mentioned that the kid we heard from the last chapter IS the security system. They made a kid into like a toy telephone, in charge of watching the kid center for example.
I always thought chap 4 would be based in the jail environment rather than the amusement park. An amusement park meant outsiders could go into the deeper levels of the factory which didn't make sense as it was always so well protected. It also just seemed so random too?? Like a park separate from the factory, yeah that makes sense but not under it. Anyway, a jail just makes so much more sense both for the storyline and logistics.
to me it makes sense, playtime co prioritizes (ironically) children's entertainment and theres a bunch of kids trapped down there, of course they would build a whole amusement park for them

Interesting that you didn't mention the glowing white eyes in screenshot 4. It's either going to be the big bad of the chapter, hunting and stalking you throughout the story, or it's another creature you have to avoid while jumping between platforms (edit: something went wrong when trying to comment, this is my second attempt. It is a side villain I think, they already used a smiling critter as main villain in chapter 3, another one would be very unlikely due to the fact that the Two CEOs said that they are the most exited for the scientist/doctor, the sheep doesn’t look like the scientist at all, and if I’m correct that was the main antagonist of the 4th chapter

That black sheep could possibly be like the Catnap or something to another group that the Playtime company was going to release before the outbreak. That would be possible since it didn't show up on any promotional material that was for kids. If that's true, then we have a new critter problem on our hands since these are critters we've never seen before so those could be some of the new terrors we face

Several people are theorizing that this Lamb of Death's name is Baba Chops. (reference to Baba Yaga from Slavic Folklore) Interesting, Bubba Bubbaphant share such similar name, and when you use the cutout board dialogue at the beginning of Chapter 3, this cryptic Chapter 4's hidden message in the recap trailers and Chapter 3's Home Sweet Home nightmare has a connection to this Protagonist's history of this company than we're led to believe. "Hey, I remember you!" "Want to know what I remember about you?" Talk about some foreshadowing! "Felted feet and with bated breath sleep draws near over paths turning clear, but I am not afraid of death as we already met" "Guilt haunts you" You as the player know the lamb critter as the person from reminiscence life. Employee friend or adopted child of the protagonist, this lamb critter has skull necklace that is the symbolism of death, YOU as the player have done that led to lamb critter has become. Do the protagonist know of it's existence down here below Play Care? If yes then how come did Momma Long Legs, Poppy, Ms Delight know or do not know about the horrible things that the protagonist may have accomplished that not even we cant remember it right now?

Glad to know I'm not the only one concerned that the big reveal was for another smiling critter ^^' Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Longlegs, and Catnap were each very distinct designs, both as toys and as monsters - and it felt fitting for a toy production company that made all different lines of products. The next apparent villain being another smiling critter feels a little concerning. It gives me the impression that the devs saw the success of Chapter 3/Catnap and Dogday so they doubled down on making more of the same, rather than continuing to innovate. Then again though, the earliest reveals for Chapter 3 didn't even show Catnap (and many thought the villain might be Bron, only for the toy's appearance to be a red herring) so, maybe this lamb critter is a distraction and we haven't actually seen the true big bad yet...?
As Ryetoast has pointed out...we've seen the part of the factory where the toys are made (Chapter 1). We've seen the area where kids were tested on to be assigned toys (Chapter 2). And we've seen the area where the kids were held before they got turned into toys (Chapter 3). The only thing we've yet to see is the area where the conversions actually took place. The area where the kids were turned into toys. Based on all those holding cells, I think this might be the game where we finally visit the final stage in the transformation process. And based on what previous games have implied to us, I get the feeling stuff's gonna get pretty dark.

Part of the reason I love the storytelling in this game series is that it started off all bright and cheery in chapter one, which rightfully made people skeptical that it’s another children’s horror mascot game, but it slowly got darker and darker as each chapter sends you deeper into the setting of the story. It’s really amazing progression that’s been done to death but just works every damn time because it’s so perfect.
Maybe the sheep's chapter might be called "Goodnight's Sheep" or something like that. I know the night puns belong to CatNap but what if that sheep was like the villain of the Critters or something?
The sheep having a skull pendant is creepy since it's also a black sheep and while sheep or lambs are said to be pure as in the bible this sheep is not. It's name has to have sheep or lamb in there somewhere but what would its name be? It must have a goofy personality based on the fact it has buck teeth.
Also because spooky sheep has a skull pendant skulls are usually a symbol of death And compared to the other smiling critters their pendants are fun cute and friendly

I imagine this critter is from a halloween line of smiling critters. You know how companies like disney have plushies but some are reserved for different seasons? Maybe the lamb is from a horror/nightmare halloween critter line that was rejected due to it being too scary or never had the chance to be put out due to the hour of joy.

My predictions on what the sheep could be: 1. It was an unofficial Playtime Co. product. Possibly wither custom made or a bootleg. 2. It was a torture device used in case any of the employees stepped out of line or even if the orphans misbehaved a certain way. Possibly using a more dangerous version of the Red Smoke. 3. It was a previously unseen villain from the Smiling Critters cartoon. 4. MOB Games was hacked by some rogue fan who decided to share their creation and trick people into thinking it was official. (Yeah, I'm honeslty not liking the chapter so far. This post is just me trying to rationalize what I saw.)
So my theory is that when we first played the game, we will go round completing puzzles and we will see. Kissy knocked out. We will have to wake her up and after that we hear something in the distance and we see do they walk into a food while we’re spying on him we see a critter about to jump on him. That was the new character. He eats him alive and it looks at us then we start running away he chases us down to like an alleyway until we go to a prison cell and lock us up so he can’t get in there then after he’s gone, we unlocked yourself and we run away trying to find somewhere else to hide while we’re hiding, he finds us again but it’s a bigger version of him and he’s really fast and he can hiding in the shadows. You have to like move around to move the objects close doors behind you so so he won’t catch up to you or anything and try to run away as possible.
Part 2: when we get in the sources and we will find five generators that we have to power up after that we open the door and he will bust through the door and chase us down when we get down. Kissy missy will hold him off and we’ll see her getting kicked off she lost the battle. We have to go find her as fast as we can before. It’s too late when we find her, we’ll see her bleeding, and she holds out her hand showing a pendant of her when she used to be a human and then she dies
I appreciate this fall into more and more heavy subjects. 3 had some odd things but genuinely was a pretty great hit and great in going darker. I hope they can keep the momentum going
Since the box symbol is the same colour as Boxy Boo, I wonder if it's the symbol for the Bigger Bodies Initiative? He was the first successful experiment and Huggy Wuggy, who also shared the same colour scheme, was considered the most "optimum" outcome. This is probably where they held all the Bigger Bodies and experimented on 1006, explaining why it looks somewhat like where you pick your monster in Project Playtime.
I think that this might be the reason why Kissy Missy was attacked earlier. It was the plushies coming to try and get food, and she was the only source of food around!
So chapter 4 of poppy playtime will be released in January of 2025 of course my son dusty is guessing that the year will be in 2025 but that is merely speculation on his part as for what day in January the game will be released on well that will probably remain a bit of a mystery until we get more information

At 9:10 I noticed the color of the stars in the toy store, (the only place of the Playcare we cannot access) is the same as the logo in this trailer. What if this was a hint on the location in the trailer. An underground for ruined toys.

First off, HURRAY. New Chapter! Second off, I find the "Black Sheep" smiling critter very interesting. While yes this can mean a new enemy I am more interested in it's symbolism. A "black sheep" can mean many things. An outcast, a disgrace to a group (the smiling critters), or a wolf in sheep's clothing. While I am admittedly not fully convinced this new critter is the main antagonist of the chapter, it may tell us something about it. It's personality, origins, hunting/killing methods, or loyalty may very differently from both the other smiling critters and the other living toys. I also noted that despite it's filthy environment, it's actually quite clean. Most toys don't seem to focus on their hygiene. Huggy was fairly clean and in an mostly clean environment which which may explain his cleanliness. Mommy was in a dirty environment and was fairly dirty. While it is difficult to tell with Catnap due to almost always being surrounded by the red smoke, the other enemy toys were not clean. I should note that Poppy and Kissy are fairly clean themselves. This can possibly show a level of both intelligence and sanity. Third off, the sewer environment seems to be falling apart. While one can just say that this is cause by time and lack of maintenance, I think differently. I think the toys are trying to escape from the facility. As dark as this sounds, with each toy they cannibalize, the smaller their food supply is. The more intelligent toys must have realized this and are trying to break free. Due to reasons unknown the facility's main, and possibly only, entrance was sealed (possibly by a staff member or rogue toy that rebelled against the Prototype). With the entrance guarded by Huggy, the Game Station the home of Mommy, and the Playcare guarded by Catnap, the sewers are probably their next best bet.
If I could rewind time, I would rewind it to the first time I watched Chapter 3 because I was scared as HELL, I didn’t know wtf was gonna happen and the ominous atmosphere went crazy 💀
My theory on the sheep was that it was meant to replace CatNap in the Smiling Critters lineup after CatNap was recalled, but considering there was no mention or hint of them prior to now, they either got scrapped or hadn't been released to the public yet by the time the hour of joy happened, someone also suggested they may be part of a group of antagonists meant to be enemies of the Smiling Critters, which I think is a really cool theory as well
What interests me is how small this main antagonist is, all of them before have been very huge, this will be interesting if the game can scare us with the sheep despite its size

Its very likely just the placeholder like the mask of Ch3, and later we'll get the face of the real main villain/s of the chapter, its speculated the true antagonists are gonna be a toy made of yarn, and one made of playdoh, to form a trio of arts n crafts or something, the sheep may just be part of a group of minor antagonists we'll encounter at some point, and there seem to be many like the Smiling Critters

I think I know what this "prison" location is supposed to be. We already know that Playtime co. has their own on-site orphanage, which, if you think about it, it would make sense for them to do that if they're one of the biggest toy factories out there, but there's no way a TOY FACTORY would have an on-site prison unless it was meant for young criminals/delinquents, meaning that this "prison" is very well likely a Juvenile Detention Center.
I'm hoping Bobby Bearhug is one of those allies because of the way she was addressed in a handbook.

My theory is that chapter 4 might be set in an asylum where playtime co keep all the crazy and unfinished toys and for the black sheep it may be a early design for the smiling critters but playtime co decided to cut it out but still made it along with a bigger body and they all lock in the cells being forgotten but when the hour of job happened they were free and they may have a hate towards the smiling crittersn and will attack any of them on sight

I wonder if the Sheep is actually the main villain. Or like a shadow for the real one. If you take a notice at the previous art pieces mob-entertainment has posted you can see patterns of yellow blue and red (inside-out) and it looks JUST LIKE the logo shown in the chapter. I originally thought that color-scheming was meant for huggy or something, but I don't know.
Just a thought, those colors resemble huggy, but if you remember the original chapter, the first vhs says "security system" (he meant huggy) but what if there was an ACTUAL security team watching us? (Or the prototype watching us through that system?) You can look around the chapter (around jail screen shots) there are security cameras. This could be where the "story so far" videos come from. And how they are watching us.
Somebody mentioned that the kid we heard from the last chapter IS the security system. They made a kid into like a toy telephone, in charge of watching the kid center for example.
I always thought chap 4 would be based in the jail environment rather than the amusement park. An amusement park meant outsiders could go into the deeper levels of the factory which didn't make sense as it was always so well protected. It also just seemed so random too?? Like a park separate from the factory, yeah that makes sense but not under it.
Anyway, a jail just makes so much more sense both for the storyline and logistics.
to me it makes sense, playtime co prioritizes (ironically) children's entertainment and theres a bunch of kids trapped down there, of course they would build a whole amusement park for them

Interesting, Bubba Bubbaphant share such similar name, and when you use the cutout board dialogue at the beginning of Chapter 3, this cryptic Chapter 4's hidden message in the recap trailers and Chapter 3's Home Sweet Home nightmare has a connection to this Protagonist's history of this company than we're led to believe.

Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Longlegs, and Catnap were each very distinct designs, both as toys and as monsters - and it felt fitting for a toy production company that made all different lines of products. The next apparent villain being another smiling critter feels a little concerning. It gives me the impression that the devs saw the success of Chapter 3/Catnap and Dogday so they doubled down on making more of the same, rather than continuing to innovate.
Then again though, the earliest reveals for Chapter 3 didn't even show Catnap (and many thought the villain might be Bron, only for the toy's appearance to be a red herring) so, maybe this lamb critter is a distraction and we haven't actually seen the true big bad yet...?
Genuinely, this reveal doesn't make me excited. The fun comes from a variety of different toys, so why are we just doing more smiling critters.
As Ryetoast has pointed out...we've seen the part of the factory where the toys are made (Chapter 1). We've seen the area where kids were tested on to be assigned toys (Chapter 2). And we've seen the area where the kids were held before they got turned into toys (Chapter 3). The only thing we've yet to see is the area where the conversions actually took place. The area where the kids were turned into toys. Based on all those holding cells, I think this might be the game where we finally visit the final stage in the transformation process. And based on what previous games have implied to us, I get the feeling stuff's gonna get pretty dark.
In the prison system, the cells there exactly resemble the ones in Project Playtime. Are we going to see Boxy Boo?

Part of the reason I love the storytelling in this game series is that it started off all bright and cheery in chapter one, which rightfully made people skeptical that it’s another children’s horror mascot game, but it slowly got darker and darker as each chapter sends you deeper into the setting of the story. It’s really amazing progression that’s been done to death but just works every damn time because it’s so perfect.

My predictions on what the sheep could be:
1. It was an unofficial Playtime Co. product. Possibly wither custom made or a bootleg.
2. It was a torture device used in case any of the employees stepped out of line or even if the orphans misbehaved a certain way. Possibly using a more dangerous version of the Red Smoke.
3. It was a previously unseen villain from the Smiling Critters cartoon.
4. MOB Games was hacked by some rogue fan who decided to share their creation and trick people into thinking it was official. (Yeah, I'm honeslty not liking the chapter so far. This post is just me trying to rationalize what I saw.)

So my theory is that when we first played the game, we will go round completing puzzles and we will see. Kissy knocked out. We will have to wake her up and after that we hear something in the distance and we see do they walk into a food while we’re spying on him we see a critter about to jump on him. That was the new character. He eats him alive and it looks at us then we start running away he chases us down to like an alleyway until we go to a prison cell and lock us up so he can’t get in there then after he’s gone, we unlocked yourself and we run away trying to find somewhere else to hide while we’re hiding, he finds us again but it’s a bigger version of him and he’s really fast and he can hiding in the shadows. You have to like move around to move the objects close doors behind you so so he won’t catch up to you or anything and try to run away as possible.
Part 2: when we get in the sources and we will find five generators that we have to power up after that we open the door and he will bust through the door and chase us down when we get down. Kissy missy will hold him off and we’ll see her getting kicked off she lost the battle. We have to go find her as fast as we can before. It’s too late when we find her, we’ll see her bleeding, and she holds out her hand showing a pendant of her when she used to be a human and then she dies

With the chapters villain being a sheep the name of the chapter might be something like "The Shepherds Lamb"
Since the box symbol is the same colour as Boxy Boo, I wonder if it's the symbol for the Bigger Bodies Initiative? He was the first successful experiment and Huggy Wuggy, who also shared the same colour scheme, was considered the most "optimum" outcome. This is probably where they held all the Bigger Bodies and experimented on 1006, explaining why it looks somewhat like where you pick your monster in Project Playtime.

First off, HURRAY. New Chapter!
Second off, I find the "Black Sheep" smiling critter very interesting. While yes this can mean a new enemy I am more interested in it's symbolism. A "black sheep" can mean many things. An outcast, a disgrace to a group (the smiling critters), or a wolf in sheep's clothing. While I am admittedly not fully convinced this new critter is the main antagonist of the chapter, it may tell us something about it. It's personality, origins, hunting/killing methods, or loyalty may very differently from both the other smiling critters and the other living toys. I also noted that despite it's filthy environment, it's actually quite clean. Most toys don't seem to focus on their hygiene. Huggy was fairly clean and in an mostly clean environment which which may explain his cleanliness. Mommy was in a dirty environment and was fairly dirty. While it is difficult to tell with Catnap due to almost always being surrounded by the red smoke, the other enemy toys were not clean. I should note that Poppy and Kissy are fairly clean themselves. This can possibly show a level of both intelligence and sanity.
Third off, the sewer environment seems to be falling apart. While one can just say that this is cause by time and lack of maintenance, I think differently. I think the toys are trying to escape from the facility. As dark as this sounds, with each toy they cannibalize, the smaller their food supply is. The more intelligent toys must have realized this and are trying to break free. Due to reasons unknown the facility's main, and possibly only, entrance was sealed (possibly by a staff member or rogue toy that rebelled against the Prototype). With the entrance guarded by Huggy, the Game Station the home of Mommy, and the Playcare guarded by Catnap, the sewers are probably their next best bet.
That trieler is scary and they eat other becuse they are hungry i think so!
If I could rewind time, I would rewind it to the first time I watched Chapter 3 because I was scared as HELL, I didn’t know wtf was gonna happen and the ominous atmosphere went crazy 💀

My theory on the sheep was that it was meant to replace CatNap in the Smiling Critters lineup after CatNap was recalled, but considering there was no mention or hint of them prior to now, they either got scrapped or hadn't been released to the public yet by the time the hour of joy happened, someone also suggested they may be part of a group of antagonists meant to be enemies of the Smiling Critters, which I think is a really cool theory as well
