Only problem is, I don't think the person we are following IS the player character but is instead someone else who is in the facility Harley Sawyer. My main reasoning for this stems from the fact that Yarnaby doesn't attack the mysterious person whatsoever and instead follows them around. Even when Yarnaby is visible, it doesn't move aggressively to attack the person. Considering how Yarnaby has been revealed to act, we know that he gets aggressive with any staff other than Harley Sawyer. Now, as for why I don't believe we, the player character, aren't playing as Harley Sawyer is simple: where's Poppy? How come, when we hear Poppy, its a bit muffled? The lift's significantly different-- this lift is faster, smaller and also missing key aspects from the lift us the player use. I bet the eye on the tv is a reference to little nightmares. yes it'll be an in game mechanic with it's own lore, but the image itself was picked and placed on a TV as an homage.
To everyone who doesn’t know, this new antagonist is named Yarnaby. His back story is about his tragic as Catnap(Theo)’s. When he was human, he was a bright young boy named Quinn, who had this disturbing habit of taking parts from different toys and putting them together, like putting one toy’s head on a different toy’s body, for instance. He believed it’s a way to make things “prettier”. That got me thinking that Yarnaby might have a Dr. Frankenstein type of role. He developed a liking to one of the corrupt doctors of the facility, making the boy only active around his presence. Just like a puppy, waiting for his owner, especially as Yarnaby. Don’t believe me? Take a look at the ARG.
Wow, Yarnaby is cute but when that mouth is open he is scary-looking. Starting to see why Sawyer wanted this thing as a guard dog of sorts at least judging by the look.
Yarnaby kinda reminds me of the prototype bendy (the one with the split-jaw head) I wonder what it purpose was meant before the Hour of Joy? Maybe some kind of security like Huggy Wuggy or something else.
And I thought I couldn't get more obsessed omg I'm so excited for Yarnaby's characterization. I think it says a lot about his character how he didn't jumpscare us - I think he's going to be really cool
I’ve got a theory in the works here. The Prototype can mimic Harley Sawyer’s voice. Sawyer is like a master to Yarnaby. Maybe the Prototype will use that ability to get Yarnaby to attack us.
I am so doped to see this chapter coming out! If the main protagonist gets their appearance revealed, I would be so excited! Yarnaby looks sick in that realistic appearance in the trailer. If this chapter gets a new visual effects and animated cutscene, that would be more intense and terrifying
5:25 some people speculate that Ollie is part/integrated into the security system of playtime co. Could this be him? If he really was a little kid, perhaps it's still him too, since he seems to have eyes everywhere on the factory. Then again, it could also be 1006, considering he's been able to track our moves. Or it could be a mix of both theories since some people think 1006 = Ollie.
i'm really excited for the direction of the new chapter, it might be a kids game, but the game's content have intense scenes and topics like DogDay's death being cannabalized. So i'm really excited to see if they'll also have more scenes like that, just hope there is at least a warning for WHAT the topic is. Kids CAN handle the topics somethings, but not all kids with all topics. It's a delicate balance
Holy crap OG bendy design vibes Also man it’s so cool watching this game develop and change from a slightly better than average common mascot horror to more developed to getting its own swing with feels of other games that inspire it to hopefully it’s entirely own thing.
you see how yarnaby makes his way through the prison? so scary, yet so cutesy. so very demure and mindful as to not make any noise. joyville is but a mere copy, it could never compare ✋
The way that Toy split their face open reminds me of Bendy and that one odd concept where instead of the ink Bendy we see in current BATIM, that bendy could split their head open
I actually believe this might be the case because he was the one who was pulling the strings from the very beginning and actually came up with the idea for the bigger bodies initiative that led playtime down a very dark path, and it would actually be very fitting if the prototype was not the only villain in this game And sometimes the real monsters can actually be humans or humanity itself.
@@Smiththeinspiringanimator yes. Also the files said that he wanted yarnaby to be addicted to him. Yarnaby would starve itself if Harvey (guy who did big bodies) was not there to see him for long. He did this successfully and basically made this his catnap. The sad part was they took an intelligent child and turned him into this but he lost his intelligence. This guy is messed up and shows humans can be worse then demons. Same goes for Amanda as well. Humans are sadistic in these series.
@@AkutagawaSan Agreed, but are human player character, who I think he might have been a higher up at playtime actually shows that he does have kindness and compassion his heart since he was willing to go through all of this for a chance of redemption and actually see if his coworkers were actually still alive and it’s clear in chapter 3,He feels for what he has done at playtime and clearly is suffering post traumatic stress disorder if he has been living in his house all those years.
Something I find odd is that when we see the character going down the elevator, poppy isnt with us. At the end of chapter three, we are with poppy who is screaming her head off about kissy, but here it is sirprisingly muted, as though poppy is on another elevator. I would be interested if that means who we are looking at in the trailer is someone else in the factory and they will meet up with our character. Since this is also the first time we 'see' the player I would not be surprised if that wasnt him.
I low-key want Yarnaby to turn out to be a companion. Like we get all this buildup like he’s gonna be a threat and then he turns out to be docile to the player (for the most part?) and only looks scary because he was built that way.
I’m actually surprised MotyaGames was actually very close to to getting Yarnaby right. Except his or her version was a clown while Yarnaby himself is a yarn monster. And btw, no, Mob technically didn’t copy Motya, Chapter 4 has been in production for a long while
Yarnaby might be the most effective monster design out of Poppy Playtime to-date, a completely believable creature design you could believe that children find charming, while almost setting itself up as a hunter using its cutesy demeanor to lure prey into dropping their guard so it can strike. Big fan of this one, can't wait to see what Yarnaby looks like in action.
Okay Yarnaby’s design is the best monster design to come out of Poppy Playtime so far, he’s brightly colored and charming while also being disturbingly biological underneath in a way where neither aspect really clashes. Everything before Yarnaby felt like it leaned one way or the other way more than the amazing mid-ground they figured out… if they make a Yarnaby plushie where the head splits open like that when you squeeze him, I might actually want to buy it!
A really cool theory that I think is really true is that the human we see in the trailer is Harley Sawyer. It just makes sense, the echoes of Poppy screaming to Kissy Missy, the reason why Yarnaby didn't attack "the player" because Yarnaby sees Harley as their boss/owner. It also explains the nightmare critter on the TV. Lions are like cats and cats give offerings to their owners as a way of saying thank you.
I have a small theory about the yarn monster, I think it was created just to be a guard, if it was meant to be around children it would not have such a wide jaw and the scary mouths inside and all those sharp teeth. Maybe he was created to hunt down and catch toys if they escaped the prison but he was given a cute appearance so if he ever had to go upstairs to where the daycare was he would not scare anyone, which would also match up with it working with the security system.
I thought yarnaby would be more yarn-ish rather being more like a friendly toy, maybe yarnaby can control the nightmare critters because yarn is a bit close to string?
All toys must have room for their vital organs, because they were humans surgically turned into toys, even the smaller ones have organs too, that's also why they can feed of other toys, because there's organic matter under the artificial exterior
Ya know, when Yarnaby opens its mouth, it reminds me of Bendy's first monster design that was scrapped before his final design in Bendy and The Ink Machine
That’s not the protagonist. If it were, Poppy would be with us and you would still see our grab pack hands. This teaser is from Harley Sawyers POV and his return to his ‘pet’ Yarnaby based on the ARG experiment notes.
Yarnaby reminds me of the very first concept of bendy, very cute to look at but it's head split open for the mouth. Wonder if they took inspiration from that
As I love this design so much! Yarnaby is literally what I’ve always wanted with these designs especially after boxy boo, since the idea of them being warped has always been overshadowed by their identity as a mascot. A creepier version which uses the mascot as a shell is just exactly what I’ve wanted from these .
@@Smiththeinspiringanimator I think The Prototype will be the final Boss of the Game, and Harlet Sawyer, not sure, but I doubt he wont have a major presence in this chapter
@@expertfilmliam An idea that I actually got from game theory is he’s actually Yarabee and I feel like this would be very fitting for him because he was the puppet master behind playtime co. Dark path and he actually found a way to live forever and also I feel like if he did survive, I think he would decide to turn himself into one of the monsters so that way he can live forever, shedding his humanity as a whole, which feels very fitting because he was a monster before he ever became one of the toys.
I think so too. My theory is that Sawyer has wired himself into the security system. How else would he be able to watch the player as they made their way through the facility?
I dont think its the protag in this trailer, the Lift looks more beat up and Poppy sounds futher away. Cause in ch3 the lift we use has minimal damage and a console, also missing in this lift, with us going back up with poppy to try and get back to Kissy

Who’s ready for this two minute trailer to be a thirty minute Game Theory?
3:00 I think it just means chapter 4, but it'd be cool if chapter 4 released on the 4th day of the year
Wow, Yarnaby is cute but when that mouth is open he is scary-looking. Starting to see why Sawyer wanted this thing as a guard dog of sorts at least judging by the look.
This new character is not at all what I was expecting. I was expecting it to be one of the Nightmare Critters.
Bruh if it was the nightmare critters chapter 4 would have been the most hated chapter yet so i would take yarnaby any day
Tbh, if the antoganist of chapter 4 was gonna be one of the smiling critters, it would be a rip of version of chapter 3.
@@VARSHA_CHIRLA
I still have the feeling that the main villain of chapter 4 could actually be a human.
Rating all antagonists:
Huggy Wuggy: cutest.
Mommy Long Legs: looks fine.
Catnap: kinda creepy now.
Yarnaby: 💀💀💀
2:55 “Aww, that’s pretty cute actually”
2 seconds later: “Oh”
6:30 dogday was really happy that he find a rotted food. but honestly he's too adorable!
Always switching up what materials the monsters are for more added fun. I like the noise it made when nearby too. No screaming, just spooky noise
Yarnaby kinda reminds me of the prototype bendy (the one with the split-jaw head)
I wonder what it purpose was meant before the Hour of Joy?
Yarnaby's design is extremely similar to that of the original Bendy design found in the gallery, with it's head opening sideways to reveal teeth!!
5:25
some people speculate that Ollie is part/integrated into the security system of playtime co.
It's a delicate balance
you think this is a kid's game? bro what kinda shit did you grow up with lol
this is not a kid's game. they've recently began trying to amp up the horror factor in order to scare away the kids...
Always gotta love a split open face monster
1:18 GUYS I THINK HIS REAL EYES ARE IN HIS MOUTH
Holy crap OG bendy design vibes
Also man it’s so cool watching this game develop and change from a slightly better than average common mascot horror to more developed to getting its own swing with feels of other games that inspire it to hopefully it’s entirely own thing.
Well, Yarnaby is scarier than expected, and look like something straight out of Joyville.
you see how yarnaby makes his way through the prison? so scary, yet so cutesy. so very demure and mindful as to not make any noise. joyville is but a mere copy, it could never compare ✋
@@kortkak I mean, Joyville’s monsters look quite like Yarnaby.
The way that Toy split their face open reminds me of Bendy and that one odd concept where instead of the ink Bendy we see in current BATIM, that bendy could split their head open
Concept Bendy lookin ahh monster, i love it
Bro I just finished watching your Finding Frankie gameplay! Wasnt expecting a new video about Poppy Playtime already!

i was in the live and oh my god... Yarnaby is terrifying, kinda gives me the monsters from the quiet place vibe!
What the camera, who do you think who is watching us???????? Sawyer? Maybe or the prototype. We have to wait and see.........
Yarnaby is the yarn monster and is very heavily implied to be obeying the scientist...i think his name is harvey
The design of Yarnaby looks so cool
Nice another great vid ive been waiting for another there aint no other channels that i watch to sleep with or watch while i do something
Yarnaby reminds me of one of the old bendy designs where the head splits open
I low-key want Yarnaby to turn out to be a companion. Like we get all this buildup like he’s gonna be a threat and then he turns out to be docile to the player (for the most part?) and only looks scary because he was built that way.
That monster reminded me of concept bendy, from the archives of bendy and the ink machine.
I’m actually surprised MotyaGames was actually very close to to getting Yarnaby right. Except his or her version was a clown while Yarnaby himself is a yarn monster. And btw, no, Mob technically didn’t copy Motya, Chapter 4 has been in production for a long while
And btw the face splitting open sideways is a common horror monster design in games and movies
SO REAL HELP
Is it just me, or does the new monster remind you of the beta Bendy from BATIM, with the face splitting open?
Yarnaby might be the most effective monster design out of Poppy Playtime to-date, a completely believable creature design you could believe that children find charming, while almost setting itself up as a hunter using its cutesy demeanor to lure prey into dropping their guard so it can strike. Big fan of this one, can't wait to see what Yarnaby looks like in action.
Yarnaby reminds me of the old scrapped design for baby Bendy in BATIM
Okay Yarnaby’s design is the best monster design to come out of Poppy Playtime so far, he’s brightly colored and charming while also being disturbingly biological underneath in a way where neither aspect really clashes. Everything before Yarnaby felt like it leaned one way or the other way more than the amazing mid-ground they figured out… if they make a Yarnaby plushie where the head splits open like that when you squeeze him, I might actually want to buy it!
2:53 WHOOOOOOAA😲😲😲😲😲 WHO THE FRESH HECK IS THAT?!?!?!

He is based of a lion

What if that eye on the computer is Dr Sawyer!?
Yoooo, Yarnaby's design is perfect! Cute and innocent at first glance, but truly terrifying
Reminds me of that one bendy model
A really cool theory that I think is really true is that the human we see in the trailer is Harley Sawyer. It just makes sense, the echoes of Poppy screaming to Kissy Missy, the reason why Yarnaby didn't attack "the player" because Yarnaby sees Harley as their boss/owner. It also explains the nightmare critter on the TV. Lions are like cats and cats give offerings to their owners as a way of saying thank you.
Honestly why is bro looking like the Demogorgon from Stranger Things lmao 💀💀💀
I have a small theory about the yarn monster, I think it was created just to be a guard, if it was meant to be around children it would not have such a wide jaw and the scary mouths inside and all those sharp teeth. Maybe he was created to hunt down and catch toys if they escaped the prison but he was given a cute appearance so if he ever had to go upstairs to where the daycare was he would not scare anyone, which would also match up with it working with the security system.
I have no idea what the new Antagonist of Chapter 4 is named, but they look like a toy that a dog would play with.
Yarnaby it's based off a Lion
Similar to Huggy being based off a monkey
@@skillissueee7426 nah I didn't know that huggy was based off a monkey 💀
Yarnabys design kind of reminds me of Bendys Prototype or Concept design! Though it is a cool creepy kind of cute, ngl.
I thought yarnaby would be more yarn-ish rather being more like a friendly toy, maybe yarnaby can control the nightmare critters because yarn is a bit close to string?
All toys must have room for their vital organs, because they were humans surgically turned into toys, even the smaller ones have organs too, that's also why they can feed of other toys, because there's organic matter under the artificial exterior
yarnaby looks like the old bendy prototype that was also a split head..but unlike bendy, mob managed to make it cute yet terrifying
Another banger from shb keep up the amazing work ❤🎉
Ya know, when Yarnaby opens its mouth, it reminds me of Bendy's first monster design that was scrapped before his final design in Bendy and The Ink Machine

I believe that the eyes ball is the foreshadowing for the final boss, prototype.
Am I only one thinks that the eye in the tv is the prototype
Yarnaby reminds me of the very first concept of bendy, very cute to look at but it's head split open for the mouth. Wonder if they took inspiration from that
Holy crap that thing looks horrific reminds me of something like the Demogorgan
Edit: Turns out it’s called Yarnaby
As I love this design so much! Yarnaby is literally what I’ve always wanted with these designs especially after boxy boo, since the idea of them being warped has always been overshadowed by their identity as a mascot. A creepier version which uses the mascot as a shell is just exactly what I’ve wanted from these .
We might play as Elliot Ludwig and this time it takes place in 2002. 1 year after the September 11 attacks.
Nah his old ass wouldn't move without breaking a bone
Me when I see yarnaby for the first time: "I can't get scared of a yar.....oh, sh*t"
I'm so glad that Yarnaby will be the potential main antagonist of this chapter.
What about the prototype and Harley Sawyer?
@@Smiththeinspiringanimator I have watched that episode and I can see this theory being a full possibility
@@expertfilmliam Although,I’m not sure what the Dewey enemy is going to be or who he could be.
Honestly can't wait PPC4 to realease! It's going be really fun watching you play it! Keep up the great work!!
I think that T.V. is Harley Sawyer or, at least, what's left of his humanity.
I think so too. My theory is that Sawyer has wired himself into the security system. How else would he be able to watch the player as they made their way through the facility?
Yarnaby reminds me of that old ink bendy concept in the best way possible
I dont think its the protag in this trailer, the Lift looks more beat up and Poppy sounds futher away. Cause in ch3 the lift we use has minimal damage and a console, also missing in this lift, with us going back up with poppy to try and get back to Kissy
Jesus yarnaby is terrifying, even without the hellspawn of a facesplitting mouth just having that smile chase us around sounds very unsettling

Congratulations! You’re first! 🎉🎊🎉🎉
When I first saw Yarnaby, I immediately thought about the Beta design of Bendy from BATIM where his mouth opened horizontally down the middle
Theory: The Tv with eyes we saw is actually Harley Sawyer.
What's neat is Yarnaby's vertical mouth face kinda resembles prototype Bendy from the 'museum' gallery added in the original BATIM
