Against fatigue control decks such as priest or mage, it wins pretty much all the time since the value generation in this deck is beyond the reach of any deck. Playing against high tempo decks requires a different game plan but ultimately you also have pretty good odds of winning. Here is the refined version of this deck for the new expansion: AAECAaoIHuGoA+DMA8aZA+HMA9+gA7SRA/vOA8WZA/yjA7IGnM4DmLkD27gD9c4DlrkDpaEDodED6LAD87cD5rcDk7kD27IDrZEDptEDitIDk8IDkKcDhKcDuZkDkbEDAAA=
I don't care what Trump says, Totem Shaman will be good. Imagine doing totemic reflection on Totem Goliath then hitting them with that Axe that summons copies of all totems. That's a lot of stats that summon even more totems on death, which can be buffed with 0 Mana spells or hit with Bloodlust. Add to that the actual value of all totems you can put in deck and you get something that's at least tier 3, at most high tier 2.
Does anyone know if the Wyrm Weaver's Mana Wyrms get buffed by the spell that triggers the spellburst? I'm assuming no, but these things are often counter-intuitive.
My friend, i'm a shaman player and i really know a thing, the spell shaman deck will be so broken that Blizzard will nerf it soon and then will be a weak deck. Remember this prediction!!
Imo, if rogue took a stealth route that wasn’t aggro, it would probably be Stealth thief. The rogue galakrond nerf is absolutely huge (that’s the main deck I played) and the deck has kinda fizzled out into mid tier 2 from there. The stealth package is fairly good and the thief package can also give some pretty good cards so it seems like a good combo. I could be dead wrong, but I think the galakrond nerf is to detrimental for a stealth package, ESPECIALLY if your trying to go aggro
I dunno. I live by the rule "don't put two bad cards in your deck just cause they're good together". Too much variance, especially in Shaman which don't have enough draw
Trump should really watch other youtubers play with some of their decks. Just because he never made it work in his head doesn't mean some cards are bad.
i feel like firebrand isnt as good as flamewaker. It's great but in tempo mage when you're casting 5+ spells a turn with evocation and mana cyclone flamewaker can just kill your opponent. I mean just look at quest mage in wild.
Yeah, it's nowhere close. Flamewanker is still king. Firebrand just knocks out your minions then leaves you be. Flamewanker beats up your guys, then punches you in the face repeatedly and bullies you out of your lunch money.
Is secret package even any good? Sure one mana draw 5 is good hypothetically but secret passage seems so so so bad because it’s plot twist without any of the plot twist synergies
Obviously there isn't enough of a sample size from both played games and opponent deck lists to be sure but Spell Shaman seems like it has a TON Of potential. The decks biggest problem will be draw. Though instructore fireheart helps with that some. It has Explosive damage. and even rather silly tempo potential (at the cost of next turns tempo).
Rattlegore is a midrange warrior card before it's a control warrior card. Control warrior would only run rattlegore for the control mirror which is dependent on the meta. Also, so far from what i've seen in streamer playtesting, reaper's scythe seems to have a problem of the spellburst being hard to manage. A lot of the time, your opponent's going to play around it if you play it too early. This means you can't play a spell unless you want to waste its effect. If they're playing around your cleave, that means they're playing slow anyway so I guess it's ok.
I think the problem with brain freeze is that dealing damage to frozen minions is REALLY bad because the point of freezing minions is so you don’t have to deal with them for one turn.
Holy crap that's some wishfulthinking if i ever saw one =D Stonecold 1 star my friend and totem shaman is worse than spelldamage shaman. Sorry too disappoint you but that is tough reality ^^
I think Goliath wasn't put into the game to be used directly but to be a potential summon by the clone summoning 5m rogue/mage legendary. Imagine the grief that could cause.
@@C3l3bi1 Nobody knows for sure that's obvious, but we all are making some predictions. This one is mine and difference may be i'm quite good with those in general. Could be wrong no doubt about it but nothing up to now indicates runic carvage and goliath will be at least in decent, not to mention "good" category. Literally nothing. Safe bet in my book. And as far totem shaman goes it has very polarized match-up and it's flood deck. Therefore quite easy to predict what range of decks in new exp. it has good match-up and bad one. In my opinion range of possible match-ups gets worse and doesn't get many improvements overall. Considering that and what we have seen from spelldamage shaman i'm assuming it's worse. Wait couple days and you will see i was right xd
I shall enjoy whipping out the pure paladin with these new cards. Blessing of Authority is insanely strong. I genuinely expect it to be nerfed and if not then I look forward to just deleting an minion if they forgot to kill my 1/1 squire.
I don't think it's right to think "Rogue has Secret Passage now, so you don't need value generating cards." I think Secret Passage can help make a very aggressive burgle/value rogue, which can go on forever with Secret Passage filling your hand with cheap value-generation cards such as Wand Thief, Pharaoh Cat, Dirty Tricks, Dragon's Hoard, Clever Disguise. Then you get to keep all the cards you generate at the end of the turn. It'd probably be a bad deck, but point is if you Secret Passage into Wand Thief, that's usually really good as you're getting fuel beyond the Secret Passage turn.
agent00x with the combo disruption cards in this set and pretty aggressive leaning for most classes it won't be viable. Maybe with tons of refinement it will be a fringe deck but it auto loses to glide and that paladin(I think) card. I could be completely wrong but at least at face value it seems awful.

@@pham990 yeah I think there are some study cards that could be real sleepers. I was watching chump and he mentioned the possibility of just running a study card to ramp into a card you put in your deck, and you don't even care about the discover, you just want the mana discount
I must be hearing things if trump is saying flamebrand is "way better than flamewaker". In what world? 2 reasons why Flamewaker is an infinitely better card: 1) Flamewaker hits face 2) Flamewaker triggers after EVERY spell cast, not just the first time, making its damage output and board clearing potential leagues better. Sure you have to cast more than 1 spell, but since when has generating spells been an issue for mage? Mana isn't an issue here either, since mage has access to Sorcerer's Apprentice, often making a turn 5 play a bunch of small spells and clear the board plus damage face. How 1 extra attack and 2 extra damage 1 time is better is beyond me.
Hitting face is a problem for random damage, random damage to face is ofte useless. For what you want ut to do in your deck, flamewaker would need to trigger twice and not hit face to be equal to Flamebrand. That is more mana and more cards. In theory flamewaker could do more next turn than Flamebrand, but that requires your opponent to not deal respons to the flamewaker at all, which means the game is likely won already
@@Sammathnar I guess you haven't played against quest mage in wild. Mana is not an issue when sorcerer's apprentice is on the field, and mage has Evocation, Mana Cyclone, Violet Spellwing, Ray of Frost, and Primordial Glyph, all of which generate new spells and keep your hand PLENTY full. You have more than enough ammunition for the fringe case where your flamewaker doesn't hit a minion.
6:55 How did he combine with a straight face "4 mana 4/2", "aggro" and "Galakrond"? None of those fit together! The 4/2 could be in a Galakrond deck, but it's not a fit, just a fill. ... and how is a 4 mana 4/4 stealth "significantly slower" than a 4 mana 4/2 stealth? The 4/4 is faster! The later effect is faster, sure, but the minion itself isn't.
@@HasekuraIsuna Knowing Trump's playstyle, it's more of a "4 mana trade with an enemy minion" As for my original comment, I'm just saying that a 4/2 is slower than a 4/4. Ignoring any later effects. And later effect, due to being later, are inherently not very fast - card draw and deathrattles.
Have to disagree with Trump here. I play a lot of Totem Shaman and it's a solid T3 deck that only loses to tempo deck and is very strong against control. That 0/3 totem is valuable for its body alone, curve it right and you have 4 2/5 totems on turn 4 which cast 4 random spells each turn. Madness! The 4/5 totem is insane as well. If it lives, cast one reflection and that's 8/9 for 3. If it dies, cast bloodlust+totemic surge and that's 28 dmg for 2 cards/5 mana! But I do hope people sleep on totem shaman again so I can surprise them with it.
Infiltrator Lillian dies then comes back. Randomly hits a 2/1 and dies again. 5 STARS! Devolving Missles that costs 1 (Can remove taunts, death rattle, unactivated Spellburst effects, and continuous abilities like Ras FrostWhisper) 2 Stars!
I wonder why they thought Secret Passage was a good idea, it's literally like Soularium for Warlock but you get 2 more options and you don't even lose the cards if you don't play them
Totem Shaman right now wins or loses based on if it can get a bunch of totems to stick, and it's not like "that" terrible... but then they get 2 new cards that let them vomit totems on the board and cheat them out early with Lightning bloom. I'm honestly curious how some of these class cards that were previously unexciting in one class, but that bleed into another turn out. I can definitely see Rogues starting to play Sap again just because they can't handle a Lightning Bloomed Goliath.
I think that the Warrior/Rogue cards were over rated, cause if you say they are better to rogue I think that they are not good at all, the way I see them (specially Krastinov) is in bomb warrior, where you can buff so hard your weapon that have an extra effect and on the top of it refil your hand with Cuting Class and summoning a 4 drop with Steeldancer. If Weapon rogue become a thing we have some possibilities to use as weapon remove, those are all pretty consistant and reliable, so I guess that it's not only 2 Self-Sharpening Swords that are going to lead Rogue to this path, maybe this deck will be a tier 2 deck with many hard couters
0:54 "You're playing a tempo warrior deck if you're playing risky skipper" Does Trump really not know that the current bomb control warrior deck also runs the skipper package?
I don't understand why people rate Self sharpening sword high. if I'm playing a weapon rogue to hit face, I'm sure as hell not putting a 1 attack weapon to my deck. Even if it grows. It's too slow. You go Simitar and wagglepick all the way.
Firebrand is not even remotely close to being better than Flamewaker. Waker can proc multiple times and hit face, vs Brand being just once (albeit with 4 damage instead of 2, so i guess ya can say it goes 'twice') Flamewaker *still* ruins tavern brawls due to how good it is.
yah more deathrattle rogue support, i wanna try some shennigans in wild, but i know ill run into a quest mage or 2 and probably uninstall the game out of rage if i do :)
I seriously disagree on the Doctor Krastinov rating. In what world is it worse than Captain Greenskin. It has 4 *fast damage* and it will *always* buff your weapon for +1/+1. But if your opponent leaves it on the board, it gives your weapon *additional* +1/+1 that Captain Greenskin doesn't. So even on the base assumption that it will die before your next turn, it's still as good as Captain Greenskin or even better because of the 4 fast damage. How blind is Trump to not see this *value*? EDIT Also in what world is a *Rush* minion that instantly gives your weapon stats slow?!
Man... Tempo warrior is looking good, playmaker is broken, you can tempo it at turn 3, don't care if dies, if don't your enemy will have problems, repears scythe is good for control... BUT IT'S ALSO GOOD ON TEMPO WARRIOR, the weakest part on warrior was that all weapons had 2 attack, in Hearthstone 2 to 3 attack on a weapon is big difference, and here we have 4 attack that cleaves, and also Troublemaker as the big finish for tempo warrior, same function as Priestress for tempo demon hunter...

AAECAYHaAx7/BbIGigetkQO0kQOKlAO5mQPFmQPGmQOloQP8owO7pQPPpQP5pQOEpwOQpwPhqAPwrQPosAORsQPbsgPmtwPztwPbuAPkuAOTuQOXuQOYuQPZvgOTwgMAAA==
It's a highlander quest control shaman oriented around the generation of spells. Against fatigue control decks such as priest or mage, it wins pretty much all the time since the value generation in this deck is beyond the reach of any deck. Playing against high tempo decks requires a different game plan but ultimately you also have pretty good odds of winning.
Here is the refined version of this deck for the new expansion:
AAECAaoIHuGoA+DMA8aZA+HMA9+gA7SRA/vOA8WZA/yjA7IGnM4DmLkD27gD9c4DlrkDpaEDodED6LAD87cD5rcDk7kD27IDrZEDptEDitIDk8IDkKcDhKcDuZkDkbEDAAA=
@@SawyerJames80085 you call a tier3 deck "good"?
Instructor Fireheart just might be the 2nd card I ever craft Golden, the artwork has such high potential
Does anyone know if the Wyrm Weaver's Mana Wyrms get buffed by the spell that triggers the spellburst? I'm assuming no, but these things are often counter-intuitive.
No they don’t. You could see that they don’t in the big reveal stream.
Nah, Spellburst procs after the spell has resolved.
im just here to see what 1 one star card end on tier 1 and every deck XD
Geovanni Cárdenas true
My friend, i'm a shaman player and i really know a thing, the spell shaman deck will be so broken that Blizzard will nerf it soon and then will be a weak deck. Remember this prediction!!
nope, shaman is still bad, tempo mage is getting nerfed tho
Imo, if rogue took a stealth route that wasn’t aggro, it would probably be Stealth thief. The rogue galakrond nerf is absolutely huge (that’s the main deck I played) and the deck has kinda fizzled out into mid tier 2 from there. The stealth package is fairly good and the thief package can also give some pretty good cards so it seems like a good combo. I could be dead wrong, but I think the galakrond nerf is to detrimental for a stealth package, ESPECIALLY if your trying to go aggro
Great presentation from my favorite Trump!
Why has no one talked about pogos and potion of illusion in wild
I feel like he severely underrated spell damage shaman.
same
I dunno. I live by the rule "don't put two bad cards in your deck just cause they're good together". Too much variance, especially in Shaman which don't have enough draw
Trump should really watch other youtubers play with some of their decks. Just because he never made it work in his head doesn't mean some cards are bad.
Best prediction: CRAM SESSION ONE STAR!
i feel like firebrand isnt as good as flamewaker.
Sure one mana draw 5 is good hypothetically but secret passage seems so so so bad because it’s plot twist without any of the plot twist synergies
does Ceremonial Maul summon a 5/5 before or after the Brawl happened?
Gebirges after
Obviously there isn't enough of a sample size from both played games and opponent deck lists to be sure but Spell Shaman seems like it has a TON Of potential. The decks biggest problem will be draw. Though instructore fireheart helps with that some. It has Explosive damage. and even rather silly tempo potential (at the cost of next turns tempo).
What? Mage will be weak in the magic expansion?
looks like it :/
I think youre sleeping on potion of illusion for Rogue. Seems like crazy tempo with prep vs control decks.
I hope you're right on Secret Passage cause if not it's going to sink a lot of your predictions based on card strength and the meta.
Brain Freeze (an underrated mechanic) seems like a good card to me. Cheap and easy to combo.
I think the problem with brain freeze is that dealing damage to frozen minions is REALLY bad because the point of freezing minions is so you don’t have to deal with them for one turn.
I'm a believer. I think both totem goliath and runic carvings will be good and totem shaman will be tier 2
@@DonFreeq lol wut?
You are literally just making shit up now.
Nobody knows and totem shaman is already on the fringe of being good.
Wait and see
@@C3l3bi1 Nobody knows for sure that's obvious, but we all are making some predictions.
@@DonFreeq atlast you made a good comment
Appreciated! But size of the cards is way too small. Cards are unreadable on a phone
Devolving missile 2 stars? Its more 4 Or 5
*uploaded 18 seconds ago* THE MAD MAN
I shall enjoy whipping out the pure paladin with these new cards. Blessing of Authority is insanely strong. I genuinely expect it to be nerfed and if not then I look forward to just deleting an minion if they forgot to kill my 1/1 squire.
Old adventure run gets a buff. The summon ANY totem could now get the Goliath for insane value
I don't think it's right to think "Rogue has Secret Passage now, so you don't need value generating cards."
I think Secret Passage can help make a very aggressive burgle/value rogue, which can go on forever with Secret Passage filling your hand with cheap value-generation cards such as Wand Thief, Pharaoh Cat, Dirty Tricks, Dragon's Hoard, Clever Disguise. Then you get to keep all the cards you generate at the end of the turn. It'd probably be a bad deck, but point is if you Secret Passage into Wand Thief, that's usually really good as you're getting fuel beyond the Secret Passage turn.
isn't there also a combo mage deck involving potion of illusion on your girls, then archmage antonidas, then fireball face?
Yes he tried it and found out its bad.
agent00x with the combo disruption cards in this set and pretty aggressive leaning for most classes it won't be viable. Maybe with tons of refinement it will be a fringe deck but it auto loses to glide and that paladin(I think) card.
I could be completely wrong but at least at face value it seems awful.
I was wondering why blizz didn't reuse inspire keyword and now why no reuse recuit too?
They don't like having past keywords because it messes with stuff, they leave it to the set it came from or at least the yearly rotation.
@@caasinom8008 em, discover?
Its meant as an expansion exclusive. Galakrond's awakening is an anomaly where it reused a handful of old keywords
@@hugoramos7647 i didn't say there weren't any but many aren't.
I thought that the point of the keyword. To define one specific effect and be able to reuse it in the future with just one word.
But you got the point, new player won't know what is inspire, recuit or evem echo is.
*chuckle* freeze shaman. I love how they are trying to push options with shaman. Hey guys we now can do Spell damage :D
you chuckle... i vomit
I don't care what he says, I'm still gonna run trick totem and Imma find a way to fill the board with them in memory of pre-nerf Yog, praise be unto him
sounds fun :P
trump: you can't underestimate 0 cost cards
also trump: underestimates cards that enable a 0 mana savage roar
Linkman95 Trump: you can’t underestimate 0 cost cards
Me: THE STUDY CARDS ARE LITERALLY 0 COST CARDS
@@pham990 yeah I think there are some study cards that could be real sleepers. I was watching chump and he mentioned the possibility of just running a study card to ramp into a card you put in your deck, and you don't even care about the discover, you just want the mana discount
Linkman95 yeah, and if you look at the mana standpoint, it’s 1 mana to discount 1 mana AND discover a card, IT’S LITERALLY A 0 MANA DISCOVER EFFECT
Firebrand is good but saying it's way better than Flamewaker makes me want to throw up. It's not even close.
I think ramping muckmorphers with innervate and the new dragon will be good for shaman
I really don't see the appeal of fire heart at all, can someone explain?
its a better vulpera( good card that saw play in several archetypes and still does) with an enormous upside
despite this I don t think shaman will see play
Top 10 cards of the set next?
Trump clealy missed the new Spell Damage Shaman deck that Thijs was playing. Pretty insane deck!
Can someone please get me his outro music?
Can’t believe he forgot about Azure Drake when talking about Spell Damage.
Edit: And Thalnos!
this outro is really something, has like 8 different memes
Rattlegore 4-star, Firebrand>Flamewaker, Cram Session 1-star, Notetaker 2-star, etc.
Oh sweet Summer child.
I think the Alzheimers is creeping up on him. Tempo Mage with Flamewaker would consistently get way more damage than 4 at one time.
@@xVibra Yeah, I hope he's okay. Flamewanker is batshit nuts, to put it lightly.
Surprised no one has made a secret tunnel reference for secret passage
I must be hearing things if trump is saying flamebrand is "way better than flamewaker". In what world? 2 reasons why Flamewaker is an infinitely better card: 1) Flamewaker hits face
2) Flamewaker triggers after EVERY spell cast, not just the first time, making its damage output and board clearing potential leagues better.
I think there are going to be a lot of under rated cards in this set because of the insane power cards people are focusing on
Where do you get your data from cause on HS replay totem shaman is like teir 2

6:55 How did he combine with a straight face "4 mana 4/2", "aggro" and "Galakrond"? None of those fit together!
The 4/2 could be in a Galakrond deck, but it's not a fit, just a fill.
... and how is a 4 mana 4/4 stealth "significantly slower" than a 4 mana 4/2 stealth? The 4/4 is faster! The later effect is faster, sure, but the minion itself isn't.
I guess he sees it as a
4 mana deal 4-12 damage
vs
4 mana deal 4 samage
@@HasekuraIsuna Knowing Trump's playstyle, it's more of a "4 mana trade with an enemy minion"
As for my original comment, I'm just saying that a 4/2 is slower than a 4/4. Ignoring any later effects.
And later effect, due to being later, are inherently not very fast - card draw and deathrattles.
Most likely just a meme, but double studies and double blooms give you a lot of mana to work with Malygos
Ironic that Cutting Class has synergy with a Maul.
How do you activate Reaper’s Scythe in warrior?
0:54 "You're playing a tempo warrior deck if you're playing risky skipper"
Does Trump really not know that the current bomb control warrior deck also runs the skipper package?
I really don't understand why the Hearthstone team didn't put freeze on Shaman again. That could be a perfect cross between mage and shaman
You are wrong about notetaker. It is an aggro card
I can already see how badly his Rattlegore and Infiltrator Lilian ratings are gonna age.
Rainbow Devil he’s rating stuff either TOO high or WAY too low, the re-review of this is gonna be hilarious
I don't understand why people rate Self sharpening sword high. if I'm playing a weapon rogue to hit face, I'm sure as hell not putting a 1 attack weapon to my deck. Even if it grows. It's too slow. You go Simitar and wagglepick all the way.
Hard agree. It’s way too slow
Firebrand is not even remotely close to being better than Flamewaker. Waker can proc multiple times and hit face, vs Brand being just once (albeit with 4 damage instead of 2, so i guess ya can say it goes 'twice')
Flamewaker *still* ruins tavern brawls due to how good it is.
But tempo mage firebrand is better
he is going to be so wrong about shaman lol
Gon' be a tasty watch.
Thats why im really waiting for trump reviews trump reviews
Jens! I fall asleep to these videos. Can you cool it with the extreme hotline miami outroes?
Lmao
It's weird how he rated the warrior minions over 7 mana so good, and then commencement and minion generation support so bad.
He explained why. Watch the video before you comment
What is the outro song?
is it just me or is he forgetting that the spells from Instructor Fireheart can cost more than 1?
Imagine not catching on Playmaker + Krastinov when comparing it to Greenskin...
yah more deathrattle rogue support, i wanna try some shennigans in wild, but i know ill run into a quest mage or 2 and probably uninstall the game out of rage if i do :)
I think Rattlegore will be a lot better next year when every class doesn't have access to Zeph.
EDIT
Also in what world is a *Rush* minion that instantly gives your weapon stats slow?!
