    I have Aly James’ VProm. It is as close as I’ve ever heard to the original LinnDrum-which I used to own. In fact you can hear Aly James’ on my page where I recreate Prince(The Linn Drum Master) tracks with it.
    I don’t understand GeForce’s need to put different velocity keys on the interface. I mean who’s using their mouse as an input device!!? Also it’s unfortunately competing with VProm and Behringer’s LM Drum.
    To me, based on this demo, Aly’s wins hands down. We’ll see how close Behringer gets.

      Who uses a mouse? Many users with disabilities. Things you haven’t also considered, this is less money than other 2, Silicon support, and a better UI.
      AJ could well change these with v3, but as it stands this is a welcomed addition.

      I too used to own a LinnDrum (it was one of my first pieces of kit). After selling it I had searched for samples or other means of getting the same sound but nothing satisfied me. That is until I discovered the VProm. It totally has the vibe that I remember from my old LinnDrum.

    Can i route all those sounds into individual outputs and run a multi channel sound card ?

    I bought one because it's cheap, looks good,and sounds pretty good. Up to a point. But, as Aly points out, a LinnDrumm works with its data in a way that "cannot be replicated by using samples of its analog output alone." And "decodes original EPROM data images in real-time using the exact decode table from the AM6070 DAC at a variable sample rate." So this is a bit of a lazy release compared to VPROM, depending on how fussy you are about getting an absolutelly authentic sound. Although Aly still not releasing a properl Apple Silicon version after all this time is extremely poor too. Maybe this will encourage him to get on with it?

      @ Lol get out your feelings hater!!! I know multiple DAWs! Completing the product makes more sense if they are competing! Roland completed there Drum Machines ! If this can’t beat Alys then it’s just like any other replica! If it’s completed then it would have a really good standalone version.

      @vaiman7777 ,
      If your DAW can't export midi files to 48 PPQN, you're stuck (read the VProm manual to understand what I mean).
      The famous "magical groove" (which have nothing to do with "shuffle" nor "swing") of those Linn came from the low resolution of their sequencer (48 PPQN).
      Studio One will export midi files in high resolution only, so S1 users are stuck. Their only alternative is to program the pattern in another DAW (i.e. Cubase), export the midi file in 48 PPQN, and then re-import the file in Studio One.
      A bit fastidious, time consuming and... expensive.
      Dig it?

    You lost everyone at no sequencer. 🤦🏻‍♂️ that was the ENTIRE soul of the machine. Anyone can make a UI with fancy knobs. The only saving grace is if this can be -highly- incorporated with the Push2 which none of the other Linn plugins can at all. Trust me….i tried. On top of the fact that Oliver’s processed Linn samples/loops are absolutely second to none. This just seems redundant. Why are all the plugin companies re-hashing these machines 5 times? You MUST be bored reviewing this stuff by now 🤣
