I have recently started to add vegetables to my 9-year-old dog's diet and what a difference in his coat! I have never seen him look so healthy. I wish I'd added vegetables to his diet when he was a pup. I also add a selection of herbs.
@Osiris 6 That is so great! Which veggies did you choice for your doggie🐶?
@@bluesky7126 I keep it as colourful as possible and include all the colours of the rainbow. I use red pepper,, carrots, sweet potato, yellow pepper, green leafy cabbage, green beans and eggplant usually. He eats this on a daily basis with meat/poultry/fish He is almost 12 now and is in fantastic health for his age. I can definitely recommend those doggie safe veggies.
@@annunaki2012 How much do you give him at one time?
Add high quality salmon oil also for added benefits, check them out
@@annunaki2012 do u mix fresh food with kibble or do you feed 100% homemade food??
gosh i love this video. Not too dragging and direct to the point. Thank you for this!
You can also feed your dogs the veggies in baby food form because it can be easier for them to fully get the nutrients that way
Wow I'm messed up. I had no clue. These would simply be treats occasionally, but it's amazing to know this.
amazing, wow
The way you chopped that apple gave me a heart attack

Our two dogs eat all these fruits and veggies and more we grow just about everything and our dogs eat it right from the ground they have been plant base for a while and they are doing better then ever their teeth has gotten so white, no more ear infections, yeast and eczema. Even though we were buying high grade dog food our dogs were always having problems never feed your dogs beefaroni sticks and rawhide bones they are the worst things you can give your dogs you are better off making your own dog food it really isn't hard at all I make a big batch once a week for my two 4yr. old dogs and they love it I will never feed another animal store bought food.
Great video! Just what I needed, thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you for this! My furry friend is happy!

My dog loves bananas, blueberries and strawberries. That's as far as we got, lol. Will try the other suggestions though!
Mine eats super healthy! She eats raw cabbage( only a few shreds though) lettuce from my garden, canteloupe, pineapple(only a little because of acidity) tomatoes.. Possibilities are almost endless!

To all of the losers commenting on the show, go away. She did a great job, and i am so aware of the need for all of these nutrients to come from real food, just as with humans. all animals need real whole foods from nature. Not a bag of kibble and synthetic vitamins.
And the dry sex hungry shemales. Perverts
Hello ma'am... V nice information thnx
My dog loves asparagus too. He salivates
My dog loves watermelon. He stays right by me when I cut it up. You’d think it was steak!
Made a mistake and put navy beans in ham soup. Didn't care for it myself but the dog loved it. The new soup is carets, onions celery and the beans. No ham. He loves it on his dry food. Thanks
Don't give onions to your dog. It's toxic for dogs.
great video, dogs are omnivores and most vets want to tell you they are carnivores. Fruits and Veggies are very alkalizing and help if your dog has Kidney issues as well. Meats are very acidic and hard on the kidneys, this is true for humans as well. Dogs know instinctively what to eat and most love fruits and veggies. Meat should be raw and organic for best results. Stay Well...
Thank you so much! My dogs only eats carrots.
my ambully favorite watermelon, apple vegies carrots beans
Grandfathers dog ate table scraps for 16 years.
Tweet your own everybody;)
My dog loves!! Cantaloupe :D but I don’t give her too much
My husky loves mangoes and apples ❤

Dogs definaley need and enjoy fruis and veggies, I have had 3 dogs live pas 18 years and hey all ae raw bird bones and fruis and veggies merci! very liilw cooking if a all and if so lighly seamed IMO 049 yEARS wih dogs
F. Ball hi, I’m wondering if you fed them mostly homemade & raw food? Would you recommend raw beef or chicken rather than cooked ones? Is it okay to feed them raw meat on daily basis or is it best to mix around with cooked food? I’m also wondering if you gave them any health supplements such as fish oils. Or if you know any good ones.Thank you so much I hope to hear back from you!!
Danny Williams hey. supplements aren't always even good for people. they often lack the proper enzymes and fats and lipids that natural foods have. also dogs need different nutrients/different amounts of nutrients for their bodies so I personally can't recommend enough that you don't use supplements. as for cooked vs raw meat I don't know for sure but I would play it safe and cook it anyway but avoid season and flavor as many herbs and spices have very dangerous effects on dogs. don't salt it either because dogs need less salt then we do so that's likely to just give them high blood pressure and dehydrate
If only this worked for picky kids XD
can u freeze it to give them when its really hot?
I want to feed my dog fruits and vegetables just I wish you could tell us exactly how much of what we can feed them
Just treats mostly
@@TitusMH what-
No more than you would feed a toddler. A couple pieces
can we gives these to puppy
3:15 See their dull faces 🤣 please give them chicken as well 😀🤣 jokes apart good content👍
Before looking at this time was giving my dogs carrots watermelon cantaloupe honeydew Apple chunks okra kind of stinky a few hours after they be eating Old Crow
Nice
My dog literally eats anything I give him... he trusts me that much. raisins, walnuts... I eat off of paper plates so I let him lick the plate clean every time so he can get that wonderful flavor bomb. He expects it now..
Not sure if you should feed raisins and walnuts?
I thought I heard they are not safe to feed?
DONT GIVE YOUR DOG RAISINS OR GRAPES THEY CAN TOXIC TO YOUR PETS!!!
超可爱的狗狗 吃的胖胖健康 我的狗挑食。。
Interesting... I’d rather cook for my dogs than buy cancer ♋️ filled preservative dog foods ,, Thanks
Ok no one cares
apples no pits, bananas, blueberries, brussel sprouts, broccoli stalks, melons, celery, cucumbers, carrots, green beans, peas, pumpkin, sweet potato, watermelon no rinds and sweets, strawberries.
I give my dogs whole apples for years...great for fiber
TheMic74key but the seeds contain cyanide right?
The core is toxic. Each dog is different. Every dog can eat more or less of something before getting sick. You can have a dog that can eat a whole bunch of grapes and not be effected, another can fall sick after one. But their is always a set amount. So the apples you feed you pup, they are not effecting him/her now but the more you give in one setting, the more likely they'll fall ill. I'm pretty sure a corgi is immune to all food.
allright totally agree......i am a vet from india.......just telling the right food is not enough, since not every dog will eat all of these......my personal pets wont eat vegies unless they r boiled with chicken.
My dog is so fussy wonr eat half of these and the other half i havent tried. My dog o ly likes little ceasors treats and chicken jerky treats and some meats we eat.
My question is can i use frozen vegetables as well? I give the ones i get from walmart to my dog as little treats once in a while.
Just check the ingredients. Some have sodium/salt added.
How about coconut juice? Is it okay to feed it to dogs?
I make mine a soup it’s just a whole chicken breast (shredded) corn(no salt or off cob) celery carrots broccoli An mix it with his dog food An he’ll eat it up like crazy and now when I relook up stuff they can’t have too many of someting An it makes me worry cause now I just make a chicken breast with no veggies at times so I won’t do notting to him so what can he have all the time so I don’t hurt him, An none of the soups I make have salt or notting no onion no salt notting he’s not suppose to have.
I think cocking vegs will effect vitamin C only other vitamins will be ok
Arthritis: Maybe use the same method as humans fast for 24hrs then just vegetables a for a week or so and see what happens.
Now how do I get my dog to eat his vegetables?
Going to be a pet owner in a week. I heard that , pups / dogs should not be fed any raw veggies. Is it true?
I wish you would make new videos you have great ones for dog food
If you want to give vegetables to your dogs, please cook / boil these well so that the fiber is broken down. Although modern dogs are omnivorous, they are descended from carnivores and their GI tract is not built to breakdown fiber the way herbivores can do. Vegetables can also give dogs bloat.
Do you know if I can give my dogs "Spring mix Salad" it has a mix of baby lettuces & greens.
@Christopher Deleon Yes dogs can eat spinach and green leafy lettuce, just be sure to wash it thoroughly to remove any pesticide residues, as you would do for yourself before eating👍
What age can I start giving my puppy these? He is 7 weeks old
Great video.
Thanks
In my research it is undeniable that dogs require the Vitamins and Minerals you cited...the question is where can they get the Vit. and Min. from...and in what amounts?
Fresh, vitamins and minerals are, in most Veterinary Nutritionist's opinions, are the best way to guarantee our pets get these nutrients and in their appropriate proportions. I have not fed my dog fruits very often but I may begin to do so in moderation but as a treat/reward.
How many dogs do u have I only have 1
My dog loves pineapple and carrots! She doesn’t like berries because they’re usually sour
My hounds love raw zucchini. Why do you have to cook sweet potatoes first? Mine like them raw.
...... cooked is good !!
Raw is excellent. Cooking heat
destroys too many of the veges nutrients !!!
😑😑😑😈😇😊😁
Don't take the skin off, dogs love the skin.
Hi, What about Zuquini?? ..
Can I give for GSD this fruits?
My 3 years old is feed with raw food. She go to "poo" at 3-4 days between twice. Is that normal? She don’t seem constipated but ... I s there veggies or fruits to help her to be more regular?
I'm jealous..
When dogs have less poop means they're digesting food better. When you have lots of poop means dog is hardly processing his meal.
How many dogs does she have
can they eat cherries and blackberries?
You= watermelon
Me= duh pugs love watermelon
U look so beautiful
are all these vegetables meant to be served cooked or raw?
Hi @lukain, thanks for your question! It depends on the vegetables. Brussels sprouts should be steamed or boiled before being served, same goes for broccoli. Celery and cucumbers can be fed raw. You should cook carrots, green beans (if they're raw, if they're canned they are good straight out of the can) and sweet potatoes before serving. Let us know if you have any more questions.
Hi Lukain - When feeding vegetables to dogs, you are best to either steam them so that they are easier for their short digestive system to pull out the vitamins/minerals or cut the raw vegetables into small pieces. Some dogs cannot handle many brussel sprouts, liver, and berries because they have sensitive systems. I know we figured out our Winston (basset hound) could not handle but 2 brussel sprouts and also turmeric he would vomit up. Each dog is going to be different and they seem to understand what works for them and what doesn't. Thanks for a good starting point for dog parents that want more information. @@e4mediavids veg from cans is a definite no. They are full of salt. Where are you finding your information.
My dog loves carrots. I thought it was because they’re sweet so I tried giving him an apple and he hated it. He spit i on the floor. Then I tried a pear and he did the same thing, I’m so confused, lol
Can be safe ???? Omg! Everyone should be home making food ! And the seeds in an apple are fine ! You need small amounts sometimes
SEE B-ROCK
I myself eat carrots raw sometimes and my dog has no problems with that either. That being said, Iv'e read some people recommend only feeding it to them cooked. What is your opinion on that?
Whenever I'm eating raw carrots, I always share some with my dogs. So did my dad. I'm no vet, but I'm sure they're fine.
😻😻😻👀👅
how do you get your dogs to love eating raw food and fruit? 2 of my dogs like papaya, that's it. one wouldn't touch it.
My dogs only like carrots
Broccoli 🥦 gives my dog gad 💨
My dog isn’t crazy on them , have to chop them fine and mix thru her meat for her to eat
Is there any fruits and vegetables that are toxic for dogs
I bought all these items for my dog but I ate
Lol 😂
What’s wrong with the watermelon rind?
I walk my dog past farmer's fields and I have never, ever, had him pulling at my lead to get to sprouts, broccoli etc. But birds, squirrels etc. He goes nuts.
How about the kale
Can i add the blueberries to their cooked food?
You 'can' but it's best to allow them to "digest" their meal then, about 2 hrs later, let them have fruit treats. It's called "sequential feeding".
