🙋♂️ Everyone keeps talking about this but nobody actually has showed the process. That’s cool! "Still made in USA” Loving that. ✊
When I first bought the socks, I really thought that I would lose them before I would ever ever need to replace them. The process was super easy. There’s a place on their website to fill out a form and then you just pay a couple bucks to ship them back. Super cool company.
On Amazon it says origin "imported" and when they arrived they were in two bags of plastic wrapped in tape that smelled awful, like the smell of really cheap pla plastic that's been in the sun for too long. So I don't know what to think but I'll trust my gut with my experience and assume its probably done 90% of the work in china then finished here then marketed as american made. I really want some long boot merino wool socks for steel toe wellies from a good company, seems like the number 1 recommended brand just ain't it🤷

@@MattHuarez-yh9zjtheres a very high chance you got scammed. Fun fact about "made in USA" is that companies cannot put that on their products if it isnt made and components aren't supplied from america. Thats why you'll see "made in USA", then theres "made in USA from global materials".

Remember you pay about 10 bucks to ship the socks back every time you use warranty . I wear mine 12 hours a day and 5 days a week.I get about 4 to 5 months before they thin out and a tear develops by ankle .I use the warranty a lot .Years ago the socks would last me 1 year so i think somethign has changed .

I haven't worn Darn Tough long enough to test the warranty. But I did order the wrong size once, my mistake. They said send 'em back on their dime. They processed replacements before I made it to the post office!

LOVE THIS VIDEO. I've been a Darn Tough fan for a while now. The price point kept me away for a while, (because I was an ignorant buyer of cheap bag socks) but once I discovered how much more durable, more comfortable, antimicrobial, hygienic, hell, just better their socks are, I made the switch. Once you can understand true quality, you never go back.
If you pay Darn Tough 25-30 bucks for a pair of socks...You basically just bought socks for life. What?!
They are 100% made in Vermont by a family owned company that started when everyone else was outsourcing labor to other countries?! How can you not be a fan of that?! That incredible warranty tells me everything I need to know about them. Darn Tough will always get my business. Other American companies could learn alot by studying Darn Tough...make a high quality product and then stand behind that product...UNCONDITIONALY!
That is exactly what I'm talking about! I made the switch for a number of reasons. The socks are amazing (check). They are made in the USA (check). They support local (check). They are comfortable (check). The bonus is that I NEVER have to buy socks again. I put on the new pair and said to my wife, "I haven't bought socks in like 2.5 years. These feel super good! After this pair, I bought another hiking pair. Then I went all in and bought the element socks for daily use. Then I bought the element no-show for the summer. I'm sold!
It might be okay to ship socks if you're living in The States, but for most of those not living in The States it actually costs more than buying a new pair of socks to ship them back.

You can ship multiple pairs which would make it worthwhile

These socks are the best purchase I have ever made.
The lifetime warranty is amazing but the merino wool material itself is incredible. As a sweaty guy my socks do not smell and they retain sweat even less.
I agree with you. I really think these socks are the best purchase that I’ve made. I’m kind of surprised that darn tough is able to offer this type of warranty, but I just love a company that stands behind their product. And huge bonus, no more stinky feet.
I have done this myself with three (I think) pairs, before I started trading them in at a local outfitter. Mailed them to Vermont, they sent me replacements. This warrantee is the real deal in fact. Only pair I didn't trouble them with got ran over by a lawnmower after falling off the outdoor drying line.
I almost brought them to my local REI but I didn't see that as an option online. If/when this happens again that is going to be what I try first. When I bought the socks I thought; "Do they really give you a new pair?" So I was pretty stoked to find out that Darn Tough is the real deal!
Ill be honest,its kinda gross i dont wash my darn tough socks often, and they still dont stink. Super comfortable and they still hold up to wear
Honesty is good and so are their socks! It's nice having socks that you can wear for a week without washing. I'm sure you're not the only one because I've done it too!

I buy mine at a local Amish country store and they told me to just bring them back to them and they’ll give me a new pair and swap them out for me

So, I noticed when you selected the "Check Out" button...the size of sock was "M" for medium...but it was a "L" large size in the pack?
I went and checked the packaging again because I thought the same thing. In the top left corner it’s actually just a picture of a sock. That makes it look like the L. If you look on the right side of the packaging, there’s an M/M which stands for mint, medium.
I just bought my first 4 pair of Darn Tough socks...fortunate to have gotten them at a deep discount. They are a great sock with an unsurpassed warranty...USA made !

I had 3 pairs that had holes in 18 mo later and they told me to cut.them up.send proof and they sent me a email within hours and sent me the monentary value of them to order more :)

Thanks for walking us through the process! Gotta admit, had video running in the background, so sorry if you covered this already, but what was your total out of pocket costs for the return/exchange, and what was the turnaround time once you mailed the socks back in?
You're welcome. No worries. I think it was around $5-$6 to send them back. I think you could reduce that cost because I folded the socks in the envelope I used and the postman said they were "bulky". I think it could be less. Also, I'm in CA and that shipping distance is the other side of the country. The credit Darn Tough gave was great. I ended up buying a pair of socks that was maybe $2 more than my return credit. Hope that helps!

@@marshmutt8975 You're welcome. Great question. I came give some estimates, how does that sound? I think it took 4 days for my post office to get them to Darn Tough. I was impressed at how quickly they initiated and approved my return. That process was 2-3 days. Then I ordered the new pair. Shipping again was 3-4 days. I'd say under two weeks
right on, they are the def the best socks on the market. I have 5 pairs now.

Not true. You can’t take them to ANY store that sells them and get new ones. The store must be a dealer and you can determine which stores are, via their website.
