@Phil Collins hello, it was a pleasure working at your gig at first direct arena in Leeds, you are an amazing singer and I love listening to your music. Enjoy a well earned rest and look after yourself
I'm so glad I got to see Genesis for two nights in Chicago for there last domino tour. I have been listening to them since I was like 6, because of my parents. Now at 17 today, I'm sad, I'm one of the last few who really enjoy their music in my age group. I'm happy there are many videos out there to watch Genesis in their prime. From the Gabriel era in the 70s, into my favorites of the Collins era of the late 70s and early 80s. I'm so grateful Genesis got together one last time, for me to see them live. Genesis will forever hold a place in my life and heart.
How wonderful it is to hear all this from a youth! I'm much older but my favourite era is with Phil, too. I also like the previous era with Peter but as a vocalist I much prefer Phil. All the best from another Genesis and Phil fan...💌
Watching and listening to Phil Collins since my youth, in my high school days...I will never forget him...it hurts my heart to see him like that...but I thank God and him for the good music he made and that touched our hearts! Although the truth... his voice is perfect and it sounds like the first time I heard him in the 80s! I will never forget my beautiful time of the 80s...and Phil Collins represents that time to perfection! God bless you and long life champion!
It's sad seeing Phil like this with his body failing him, thank god Phil still has his whit about him and brilliant voice and great sense of humour. Phil Collins/Genesis tickets are rarer than rocking horse shit. Never had the privilege of seeing him live, but his music will live on forever.

Genesis, with Peter and without, were magnificent to us prog rock fans. Thanks for all the great art... especially to Peter Gabriel and the masterpiece: "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway."
I admit I got into Genesis in the early 80s, post-Peter... and I'm embarrassed to admit that I never really dove into Lamb until I got hired as a percussionist/singer for a group that recreates/performs these albums live. Having to dissect each song to learn every little tambourine hit and random percussion bit so we could play the whole double-album live was a life-changing thing for me. That record really is a masterpiece.
Still sounds amazing for what he is going through. He could have sounded awful and the crowd would have still loved it. This is a true warrior! God Bless!!

Two weeks ago, I was wonderfully entertained by Phil and the accompanying musicians, when I saw them play live. Great evening's entertainment. This video only gives a slight impression, because the sounds and the visuals in the Arena were incredible. Technology has certainly come a long way since those beginnings of Genesis Although Phil's vocals wavered at times, it was amazing to hear him hold much of the vocal strength and vocal melody many of those Genesis songs have and that we have become fully aware of due to the many past decades of these songs being played on the radio and other forms of media entertainment. Sadly, I believe that 2022 is going to be the final year for live performances from the Genesis we know well from their successful years of the late seventies and eighties. My only wish, before the concert, was for Peter Gabriel to make a guest appearance. It would have been even more special to see and hear the four of them back on stage for a live performance, especially performing those seventies songs, such as: 'I Know What I Like...'
To Phil, Mike, Tony and everyone associated with Genesis over the years, a HUGE thank you for so many wonderful songs, memories and moments. You are true legends!!

To the ones who call it an end of an era. Legends like these, never end. Think like it as a new chapter instead of an end. As they say; "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." Who knows what the future holds. They never fail to surprise us, and the inspiration and legacy they have is truly incomparable. To those lucky ones, who got to see them perform live, always cherish it and realize how lucky or privileged you were, because many would do anything to experience it. To those who haven't or never, don't feel ashamed, their music will always be apart of you, no matter what, live show or not, we all have our own ways of cherishing these legends, even if we don't got much. But honestly, A true inspiration these three were for continuing, and a massive thanks to the originals, for founding this legend of a band and taking part despite not being apart of it until the very end. Only sad thing, I feel about this, is how unfortunately bands like these wont ever exist anymore espically with how the industry has been, and the world has changed too, but atleast, we have some bands trying to get close too it. Wishing all the best for Phil, Banks and Rutherford, and I hope the future brings many great surprises. Real shame they didn't tour at more places, but they did what they could with the conditions they had. A sincere thank you for everything Genesis, and espically to Phil, and onto this new chapter we head too! Decades of inspiring, laughs, and passion, legends forever. A Legacy that will always be kept alive. 👑👑👑
100 years from now people will be studying the remarkable body of work this band left behind. Much love and appreciation to all of the members, present and past. That was one hell of a run.
Phil and all around in which constellation he ever did, were absolutely my favorite through my life. I feel sad when this big one is now going into retirement. But it is well deserved and his vocal will remain in my ears. Thank you, Phil & and your teams for that long and great entertainment.
I have all the Genesis albums from day one....and still listen to them every day..when I heard Phil announce it was the end my heart stopped, the end of an era...I always wanted to see them live but never did my biggest regret. In my heart they will always be there...now I am 68 and have never heard a band get even close to Genesis and never will.
I have followed the trajectory of this great band and of course the years are noticeable even so Phill always with his good humor and it is to be hoped that it will not be the same as before but despite everything Genesis will always be a very good band

First band I ever saw live, it was 1971 at Sough college with about 200 hundred other fans. It was the original lineup and half way through the gig Phil came out from behind the drums and addressed the audience. Even at my tender age of 16 I could tell he was a very talented person. All the best Phil and many thanks for some great songs.
first band i ever saw live too, but at the show in this video. they’d grown to be my all time favourite band and it was a wonderful moment seeing them here.
It's sad to hear how much of his previous voicepower has been lost to this terrible illness, that he's actually able to sing at all is pretty amazing, but I'm happy to see he's been able to entertain on this last tour he'll ever be able to make.
Congrats Genesis on your long careers and contribution to my musical growth! I didnt catch this tour but am glad I caught them for the first(and last) time in '07. My last request (and I know this 99% wouldnt happen, but I can ask) would be to have 1 actual FINAL final tour with Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett and Chester back and perform PG era Genesis, also with Phil on percussion and Steurmer possibly on rhythm guitar...and I am hardly a "Gabriel vs Collins era" type of fan (I loved the entire run in different ways throughout), but it would be cool to see PG and all the boys one last time performing Genesis songs for a proper farewell...at this point I would even be happy with a one-off show similar to what the Zeppelin boys did years ago...

Good on ya Genesis, old band, legends, say it how it is.....Phill Collins just one of my heroes 🦸♀️
@Phil Collins if this really is you I solute you 👍
Legend band , bring back the 80's 🇬🇧
I still love this group band untill the end off time ❤️❤️❤️❤️
100 years from now people will be studying the remarkable body of work this band left behind.
Was there the night before. Thought they were great as always. So many wonderful memories of seeing Genesis over the past 40 years!
Good health to all in the band going into the future in what ever they decide to do especially Phil who sounds better live than the UA-cam
Recordings Of the show I’ve heard over the last couple of days. Great farewell ! 👍
I remember when the video came out on MTV was really controversal but really hit the mark and it applies so much today. Love these guys
I love Genesis and I love Phil. Although it is sad not to see Phil at his best, hearing that how much better he still is than the backing vocals relieves me. but no surprise..he's the one and only Phil Collins. To the band, Tony, Mike and Phil: Thank you so much for the music through decades❤❤❤
Godspeed to you, Genesis... thanks for the ungodly amount of memories 🙏
You all will never be forgotten !! Your the best & we love you
I still remember seeing Phil jumping up in the crowd when the Beatles were performing and there his was, hypnotized like the rest of the world. God Bless you Phil, you gave us your gift freely and we Loved it. Some of the Best for a generation and beyond. An old fart up in Green Bay, WI. Love ya Phil!
Simplesmente envelheceu, mas será eterno como todos bons músicos. Amo ❤

My concern is has he made peace with his creator in JESUS name amen!
You’re contribution to the world music scene, is unparalleled, take your rest Phil, you’ve been my legend since I first heard you, my kids have been brought up on your music, and now my grandkids, thank you so much sir, truly a living legend

Brigitte 🌷
I love Genesis, but this was sad to watch. I understand he has health problems, but going from what he once was to the shell of what he is now is depressing. Thank you though for all of the years of fantastic music. Farewell and god bless.
Imagine how the man feel... fuck
Happens to all of us
Just the shell. We are all bound to this physical decay. But you are more than just your body. ;)
@@nehuge This is not how it works.
@@sven31415 alright i will bite....show us your infinite wisdom
Was at the 02 on the 24th. Great show as always. So sad you won't be performing again, and so i am pleased i got to see you guys one last time.
My heart is so broken and I grew up listening to the great band of all times. His voice is so strong and great spirits. May the good Lord be with them all!!

Phil, your voice 8s still very distinct and clear..I love it.Happy u still have **IT.
STAY SAFE, get better..
Thank you, Mr Collins! You have created so much beautiful and quality music that has been listened everywhere in my 45 years and I believe that I will continue to listen to it for the rest of my life. Without you, the world of music would be imperfect. It hurts me to see the passage of time but unfortunately, we are all on this path. I wish you could live another 100 years. Thank you and ... thank you for each of your songs
its hard to know what to say. so many of your songs are wrapped around my memories over the years, parties, brights out, holidays , dates, good times, sad times....your music was there. I hope you all have a wonderful retirement secure in the knowledge that your music will live on foe decades to come and beyond ❤
Thank you for sharing. Legend. Still packs a punch . Can't hold back tears.
Had the privilege of seeing him on his "Not Dead Yet" tour....fantastic!
Um excelente cantor e seus trabalhos um MÁXIMO!!!!
It's sad to hear how much of his previous voicepower has been lost to this terrible illness, that he's actually able to sing at all is pretty amazing, but I'm happy to see he's been able to entertain on this last tour he'll ever be able to make.
Thank you for being a huge part of the soundtrack of my life.
Phil Collins owned the 80s. When we were young and things were still exciting.
And now we're old.
55 years !! performing!! GENESIS
Sadly it will probably never happen.
Id say it would never happened.. with Phil barely standing up, seeing him on percussion would be, more of a torture to him, but man I wish
@@saronordonline2169 then I would say PC could hang out off to the side out of site or where ever he would feel comfortable during the show...and let the others do the heavy lifting...
😥 so sad , what a career these guys have had , thanks for the tunes❤
Decades of music artists gave us so much joy to make our lives a little more bearable
Phil Collins rocks ! JESUS SAVES! No jacket required was my first album!
Просто красавцы! Любим и ценим!!
YOu already did so much giving us tour beautiful music. Thank you, it's time to rest and enjoy your family
Ich bin so froh die Gruppe 1987 in Berlin gesehen zu haben
The Great Spirit of Collins will live on forever :-)
Philip David Charles Collins LVO (born 30 January 1951) is an English drummer, singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor. "Land of Confusion", a single from the 1986 album "Invisible Touch". A wonderful man, an awesome group, a Tremendous Legacy to The World. More Phil's, less Bill's.❤
Phil i wish you all the best and thanks for all.👍👍👍
Man is 71 and his voice is still perfect. We're gonna miss you, Phil! Thanks for the years of awesome music!
71 is definitely not old lol but yeah he has lived the rockstar life for most of it.
People get old at different rates. Depends on health issues and genetics. Some people are so ignorant!
My dad is 78 and he jumps around like his 25 so 71 is not old.But drinking and touring for 50 years will sure damage your body.
@C J B Cancer men
This is what has become of real music. Sad. No autotune, no lip sync, just guys ACTUALLY playing instruments and singing.
Phil Collins still rocks! We'll miss his presence on the stage... but he's still a great human being.❤❤❤
An icon retires...a bitter sweet moment
And Bully's Special Prize... Let's have a look at what you would have won... Two absolute favorites... Wonderful memories...
he still sings like the old days but you can hear he has a hart time with some parts so yes he wants to go out while he is in good health he had a grate run he deserves to retire and enjoy what time he has left on this earth his music will live on long after he is gone :)
Love you Phil!
tanks Phil . Tanks Genesis. God bless.
Was lucky enough to see the Lamb Tour in Los Angeles and the first Trick Of The Tail tour Great Memories
You have not lost your AMAZING SINGING VOICE I love YOU XX
Fu.king great band. Hey kids. When you young people grow up you will not remeber any band from your childhood. I bet. But i will till i die.
Ohhh Ohhhh.. A band I grew up with! Go on Boys, you changed the world!!! 😊
An absolute legend then and now...god bless you Phil
